Sorry guys I don't like being gloomy as it's not what Disney holidays are about but am posting this in case it helps anyone. We just got back on Thursday and over the weekend DH checked his credit card statement online. There was about £120 in charges he couldn't account for so he called the credit card company who confirmed the card was used several times on Wednesday evening (we were probably on the plane by this time) so it appears that our card had been 'skimmed' and used fraudulently.
Luckily DH always tells the credit card company our exact dates of travel so it looks as if the card quickly got stopped as soon as it got to Thursday (we had told the company we would be home by then) and as they already had our travel details there has been no need for us to prove it wasn't us using the card etc & the £120 has been waived and referred to their fraud department without fuss.
I have always teased DH in the past for being so particular. It looks like he probably saved us a lot of hassle. If you plan on using a card while you are away it is definately worth that phone call
