Hey everyone, hope all is doing well. My kids are now out of school for the summer. Our family is certainly looking forward to summer vacation, though my wife and I can't help but wish the time would speed along to the date of this Christmas cruise.

I wanted to compile a list of people interested in participating for the Fish Extenders (FE) activity on the cruise. I went through the threads and tried to collect the information that has been provided thus far from those who displayed interest. This is the list of those currently interested in participating:

There are some folks who mentioned their interest in participating but did not provide their cabin numbers. Once you provide your cabin number, I'll add it to the list information.

I imagine this list will grow between now and December. If the FE participation list gets too big then I can break it up into two groups...we'll cross that bridge when we get there. On our last cruise we had 30 members participating and it was do-able and not overwhelming.

Hi usafvet, thank you so much for organizing the FE group!!! I wondered if we might be able to consider starting a 2nd FE group once we hit 20-25 cabins? With 4.5 months to go, I think that we will have enough latecomer FE interest for a 2nd group, and it would allow planners/crafters time to work their magic with the identified group? In the worst case, if we don't have a large 2nd group, people from group one could volunteer to participate in both groups. That has worked really well in the past and keeps the FE groups a bit more manageable for participants. This is just my 2 cents, and I'm fine with whatever the group prefers.

I agree. We will definitely split the group if the number increases that much. Out of the 19 listed (so far) only 11 have provided cabin numbers...so as of now I would say only 11 are definite. I try to check this forum every other day to see if anyone else is requesting to be added or if someone has updated their cabin number, etc. Once we get above 20-25 I think it would be a good idea to split the groups.

Or is it kids only? If so, are gifts supposed to be individualized (which is why age and gender info given)? I think that you can find more than you'd ever want to know by searching "FE" on the general cruise disboard. People have gone to great lengths to share suggestions and experiences, and I've always learned a lot by reading through there for different topics. There are a few negative stories out there as well, though it seems like experiences are mostly positive. We've done a couple DCL sailings without FE and had an amazing time, though the few we've done with FE have been extra special. Our kids get so excited about checking the extender outside the cabin door and opening their surprises, that it brings us extra joy. They really enjoy the giving too, and get excited to see something we've gifted or help deliver. As for your questions, you can do kids only, but it's fun to do the whole family. The best thing about FE is that there's no strict rules...you can do absolutely whatever you want. One gift per cabin, something little for each individual, or something personalized. It really doesn't have to be expensive, and we've been really wowed by people's creativity and thoughtfulness in the past. Sometimes people do things themed from where they are from or related to an aspect of the cruise, like pirate night. You can deliver whenever you want, and some people make multiple trips...it varies widely with whatever system you want. The ages help since there's a big difference between what a 3 y.o. and 15 y.o. might enjoy, and the preparation/planning of FE adds some extra fun before the cruise.

I can certainly do that...just let me know when you get their cabin number. Also, is your cabin number 6514 or 6546?
