A Wigdout trip report, DISmeets, Flashing Jelly Rings and Manpris, Oh MY!

I tried to slip in... we could leave on the 8th, stay the 9th and 10th at the BCV before going to Vero Beach (we would like a weekend at Vero... less points) in the car earlier... but I would like more days at BCV than two nights, unless we go BCV, Vero, then back to Disney ( I swear we are not bringing much and we could move rooms). I also am 99.9% sure we will drive, so we can pick up groceries and stuff at the store.

Catching up again.

Minnie's underwear is white not polka dots like her dress. And what are you doing that you need a shower cap on Splash Mountain anyway? :confused3

The photos of Flower and Garden are awesome. I was down in March just before it opened and it looked bare compared to your pictures.

Someone asked about cooking in the kitchen of the one bedroom. We (three adults plus one local friend) did one night but we have a friend who lives in Orlando who came over with some parts of the meal / supplies etc. More often we used the oven for chocolate chip cookies or reheating. We usually stocked fridge with sandwich fixings (besides peanut butter and jelly).

Kitchen Sink -- must go on diet now :lmao:

We unpacked, put all of the groceries away, and got the lap tops set up. Then it hit me, we didn't have our bag that was supposed to be in the cooler!
So we called bell services and they told us that they would look again and call us back. They called back and said that they didn't have it, but they would call SSR and then call us back. Well, that's where it was, still in the giant fridge at bell services at SSR. It would be sent right over. :thumbsup2 So off we went to explore and have dinner, we were going to the Cape May Clambake! I took some pictures on the way over...

The elevator area, I have no clue what Baylor is doing....:confused3 He usually ran up to push the button but it looks as if something is going to get him.

Pictures by the elevator.

Not sure what I just did but I'll keep going....

A smaller solarium in the BCV area...

Same room, other side.

245.jpg

The DVC quiet pool just out the doors of the solarium.

Light fixture in the solarium.

Just below the light fixture.

A lamp and a hidden Mickey.

Another Beach Club Villa light fixture.

The Beach Club Villa entry light fixture.

251.jpg

Back to the main building now. Lots of glare on this but I loved the turn of the century swim suits.

253.jpg

252.jpg

Light fixture in the main lobby.

254.jpg

We decided to check out the market place, good thing too, it seemed that Baylor had lost an arm on the way! Good thing Disney had a prosthetic arm. A thing like that could ruin your trip!:lmao:

255.jpg

But it seems that he was just playing around so I was worried over nothing... We had more time than we thought before our ADR so we decided to have some of the famous Beach Club gelato. It was yummy!

257.jpg

We walked around a little more then it was time to check in for the Clambake, Baylor found a perfect waiting place.

258.jpg

Here is Baylor's first go round.

259.jpg

My Clam Chowder and salads.

260.jpg

Marc went right for the main selections.

261.jpg

My main selections, let me tell you, it was really good. We had heard some not so good reviews of the Clambake but I'm really glad we decided to see for ourselves. It's going to be a repeat for us!

262.jpg

Desserts.

263.jpg

Marc's desserts, not so pretty.........in fact it looks ewwwww! (he did like it)

264.jpg

Continued in next post...

After dinner we decided to check out the Boardwalk. So we started walking and I took a few pictures of the area.

265.jpg

266.jpg

268.jpg

Card tricks.

269.jpg

Getting ready for another trick.

271.jpg

The crowd was growing and the kids were examining his ropes to make sure they weren't fakes.

272.jpg

The street performers were lots of fun, they put on great shows, but Baylor really wanted to do the carnival games, well, more like he wanted to win a basket ball in the hoops shooting game. You know, the hoops that the ball can barely go through? Well he took his $15 allotment for the day and blew it, not a single basket. Sorry guys it was a sad time, no pictures....

We decided to head back toward the Beach Club on the way we stopped at ESPN.

273.jpg

It was time for movies on the beach, they were showing "Bolt". I joined the guys later...

274.jpg

275.jpg

After the movie, it was time to get showered and bathed then get to bed, it had been a long day...

Up next: Planning for rope drop but would we chose to sleep in.....

I'm keeping my fingers crossed that we can be resort neighbors in June, I would love to help out with the kids by the pool!:goodvibes

Don't be so technical, you never know, she might have a pair of polka dot panties in her closet.... and something about that shower cap looks like what my mother used to call bloomers. I like to keep my hair dry on Splash Mtn. the shower cap worked!

The photos of Flower and Garden are awesome. I was down in March just before it opened and it looked bare compared to your pictures.
It had really filled out from when we saw it in March too, but the floaters seemed to be a bit faded and withered....

You? Chocolate chip cookies, I don't believe a word of it.....

Kitchen Sink -- must go on diet now :lmao:

You and me both.....

Oh my gosh, now I know what I'm missing! We hadn't been to beach club yet, only walked through the boardwal lobby when we went to welcome home wednesday last september. Love the brightness and color!!

The clam bake looked good. I don't like clams, but my daughter and son in law do. We will have to add that to our February trip itinerary!!

Looking forward to more!:goodvibes

Oh, more and more gorgeousness at Beach Club! I laughed about Baylor and the arm because I do believe that Connor has done that several times! :lmao: Dinner looks delicious -- Cape May is definitely one of the restaurants I want to try at some point!

:cloud9: I am loving the Beach Club. I tried to talk Rob into staying there for our upcoming trip be he just didn't get the appeal. Can you hear the movies on the beach? It always looks so fun to just relax and watch a movie under the stars...at Disney!

252.jpg

I think I need one of those one of these since I haven't been following my diet at all.

YUM YUM! Your dinner looks yummy. I also want to try Cape May at some point, maybe when I stay at BC. ;)

Thank you so much for posting those pictures :goodvibes I am super excited for December now!!!! I am sure this is more of a "summer" resort, but I look forward to seeing it in a festive light as well... I love how the two resorts are in walking distance of Epcot. :thumbsup2 Clam Bake buffet ... hmmm... I was wondering what that would be like as well... THANKS for the photos!!!

Great update! ;)

Beach Club looks so pretty! I love the decor and the light fixtures. :goodvibes

I have been wanting to try Cape May Buffet, it looks really yummy!

Hi! Just back from a trip to Texas to move our DS, DDIL and grandbabies there. Yes, they haed the nerve to take those babies with them. :guilty: Anyway, I was all ready to use my recently acquired knowledge of how to speak Southern, but I didn't need it at all!:rotfl2: Everyone was wonderful in Texas, even at the airport. I look forward to visiting again. I have alot of catching up to do - I'll be back!

What can I say, in my opinion the Beach Club is glorious! In my mind it will be our summer destination!
I'm not a fan of the clams either but the crab legs were very good, every time I broke on open, I had a little seagull across the table saying "mine, mine, mine". Hmmmm, wonder why he didn't go and get his own bucket?

You know, when I think about it, I remember Shocker pulling the same arm shenanigan as well......:rotfl:
Cape May Clambake was really good and I hear the breakfast is even better.
Beach Club is very gorgeous, it's amazing how Disney is able to pull of such wonderful theming at each resort. I know I'm going to love your lush, exotic Animal Kingdom too!

:cloud9: I am loving the Beach Club. I tried to talk Rob into staying there for our upcoming trip be he just didn't get the appeal. Can you hear the movies on the beach? It always looks so fun to just relax and watch a movie under the stars...at Disney!
Maybe if you show him my pictures he will get the appeal for your next trip! Yes, you can hear the movies unless the people behind you decide to have a conversation.... I guess since we weren't in a theater it was OK to talk out loud while others were listening to the movie.:headache: I'll just add this, it was a perfect night to watch a movie under the stars...

I would recommend Cape May we enjoyed it so much!

The Beach Club at Christmas is supposed to be one of the "must see" places, I can't wait to see the lobby all decked out! Teena did say that they have a difference fragrance at Christmas, one she is not too fond of...:scared:

I love how the two resorts are in walking distance of Epcot. :thumbsup2
You just can't beat the location, it's so nice to be able to walk right over to the IG...
Clam Bake buffet ... hmmm... I was wondering what that would be like as well... THANKS for the photos!!!

Great update! ;)
Thanks, the Clambake had some really good non seafood items as well. We will go back for sure!
Beach Club looks so pretty! I love the decor and the light fixtures. :goodvibes
If I ever get a new house, I would like to decorate it like the beach club solarium...:goodvibes

I have been wanting to try Cape May Buffet, it looks really yummy!
Very yummy indeed, you should go for it sometime!

Welcome back! How are those babies?
So they don't speak southern there? I guess you need to head over to Alabama, Tennessee, or Georgia....;)
The boards have been busy, every time I get up from the computer I have a lot of catching up to do!

The Beach Club is so authenic that they have this guy making sure the suits are up to community standards! :cool1:

bathing-suit-law-1922.jpg

This is the Disney job I want! :rotfl2:

I had chosen the dancing banana to end that last comment but decided it was a little risque!!!!!

Ah, Beach Club, how I  thee! As much as I loved the Poly, I have a special place in my heart for Beach Club...well, and WL too! It's official, I am a resort junkie!:lmao:

We stayed BC in January so we saw it all dressed up for Christmas. Gorgeous. Can't say that the fragrance is one that appealed to me though -but I am smell sensitive...

Cape May is super yummy-we've eaten both dinner and breakfast there. The dinner is one of our favorites so far-better than CP and CM IMHO.

I am enjoying all your pictures and TR happenings. All the manpris at Epcot. Perhaps because it's so "worldly" there. :confused3 :rotfl2:

I am deep into DVC research. My DH is actually agreeing that it may be the way to go so I have to strike while the proverbial iron is hot. All of the chatter on here has been so very helpful with that!! Thanks:goodvibes

I just want one of those swim caps and a some inner tubes like the little girls has, although it will take a few more to keep me a float! My bathing suit looked about the same, and yes, since we were at the Beach Club AND Storm Along Bay, at some point there will be a picture or two of me in said bathing suit....... You have all been warned.
:scared1:

I love the Washington Monument in the background.......

Disney is the perfect place to feed your addiction!

I have a super sonic smeller too, I have a feeling I'll pop in to see the lobby and hopefully Teena or Art, then pop back out!

Cape May is super yummy-we've eaten both dinner and breakfast there. The dinner is one of our favorites so far-better than CP and CM IMHO.
We thought the Clambake was awesome and agree, much betterfood than CP and CM, but if you have little ones that want to see characters it's not the place to be unless you go for breakfast, which we have ADRs for on our final morning......

I am enjoying all your pictures and TR happenings. All the manpris at Epcot. Perhaps because it's so "worldly" there. :confused3 :rotfl2:
I'm sure we spotted more manpris at Epcot than any other park!

Oh yes, strike now! Here's my advice to you.....take it or leave it. Buy where you want to stay, figure out how much money you will spend if you buy through Disney, then take a look at Timeshare Store and see how much farther your money will go...... I saw Beach Club points there the other day for $88 per point...and they advertise financing if you need to go that way!
