A Wigdout trip report, DISmeets, Flashing Jelly Rings and Manpris, Oh MY!

The latest report was VERY VERY Well Done Wigd.

I want to stay at BC so badddddddd now !!! Oh well Wilderness Lodge will have to do for now.

If only I was a rich man.

Shocker, I would love that Disney job as well. You do crack me up !!! :lmao:

All caught up - I missed alot of fun!

Happy Belated Birthday! I just turned the big 50 in June - not so bad, I guess. Loved your celebration pics! Hadley is so precious!

I am old enough that I actually knew exactly what that was before you opened it! :thumbsup2 I had one, too - wish I would have saved my 45s! I'm glad you rescued it!

I just want one of those swim caps and a some inner tubes like the little girls has, although it will take a few more to keep me a float! My bathing suit looked about the same, and yes, since we were at the Beach Club AND Storm Along Bay, at some point there will be a picture or two of me in said bathing suit....... You have all been warned.:scared1:

I love the Washington Monument in the background.......

You should get one of those swim caps for Splash!:rotfl2: That's one of the advantages of getting older - you don't mind wearing a shower cap in public and then being photographed!:lmao:

What can I say, in my opinion the Beach Club is glorious! In my mind it will be our summer destination!
I'm not a fan of the clams either but the crab legs were very good, every time I broke on open, I had a little seagull across the table saying "mine, mine, mine". Hmmmm, wonder why he didn't go and get his own bucket?

You know, when I think about it, I remember Shocker pulling the same arm shenanigan as well......:rotfl:
Cape May Clambake was really good and I hear the breakfast is even better.
Beach Club is very gorgeous, it's amazing how Disney is able to pull of such wonderful theming at each resort. I know I'm going to love your lush, exotic Animal Kingdom too!

I would recommend Cape May we enjoyed it so much!

Thanks, the Clambake had some really good non seafood items as well. We will go back for sure!

Very yummy indeed, you should go for it sometime!

Welcome back! How are those babies?
So they don't speak southern there? I guess you need to head over to Alabama, Tennessee, or Georgia....;)
The boards have been busy, every time I get up from the computer I have a lot of catching up to do!

We loved the clam bake, too! Unlimited buckets of clams - yummm!:thumbsup2

The babies (actually 4 and almost 2) did great on the trip! I have been taking care of them while their parents, now teachers, have been going to school through their master's year. We miss each other alot - yesterday, DGS4 said, "gramma, tomorrow I'm going to school, and I need you to hug me before school." (I've been taking him to preschool) Very sad, but there are no teaching jobs here - they got great jobs in Texas at the same middle school with full time Christian preschool right across the street - I know it is meant to be so I'll be happy for them! I'm very proud that they finished school with two babies!

The Beach Club is so authenic that they have this guy making sure the suits are up to community standards! :cool1:

This is the Disney job I want! :rotfl2:

I had chosen the dancing banana to end that last comment but decided it was a little risque!!!!!

Yah, I'll bet that guy hated his job!:rotfl2: Look at the lady on the right! She can't wait to have HER leg measured!:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Thanks Jobie!

You are going to love Wilderness Lodge, I have heard so many great things about it!
There is always next time for Beach Club and you could try renting points, a much more affordable way to stay there!
Shocker, I would love that Disney job as well. You do crack me up !!! :lmao:
I can only imagine the trouble Shocker is going to get himself into with an "official" costume complete with badge and measuring tap, waiting for each female guest to arrive.....
All caught up - I missed alot of fun!
Did you have lots of email?

Happy Belated Birthday! I just turned the big 50 in June - not so bad, I guess. Loved your celebration pics! Hadley is so precious!
Thanks we had a fun meal out!

I'm glad I rescued it too, I stopped by there the other day while the ladies were working and they had unearthed a couple of my grandmother's hand made quilts, I had to pay them 25% of the asking price since they had started working...I think I'll stop back over today and see what else they have found....

You should get one of those swim caps for Splash!:rotfl2: That's one of the advantages of getting older - you don't mind wearing a shower cap in public and then being photographed!:lmao:
I totally need one of those, I'm sure Shocker will keep an eye out for me unless he's already over on ebay looking....:rotfl2:

I'm sorry they had to move away, it's so sweet that your little guy wanted a hug from you before going off to school. I know you must miss each other very much.
You should be proud of them for finishing with two little ones, that's not easy, but I do think it makes for a much more responsible student. I'm sure they both did very well!

:rotfl2: I noticed that lady too, she had it out and ready!

I would like to have one of those tables in my new home that comes furnished from the Beach Club solarium.....

Baylor would head down to the beach and start watching before Marc and I were even ready to go, that boy is way too comfortable at Disney!

Thank you so much for posting those pictures :goodvibes I am super excited for December now!!!! I am sure this is more of a "summer" resort, but I look forward to seeing it in a festive light as well... I love how the two resorts are in walking distance of Epcot. :thumbsup2 Clam Bake buffet ... hmmm... I was wondering what that would be like as well... THANKS for the photos!!!

Great update! ;)

Beach Club looks great for the holidays. Lobby has tree and a chocolate and gingerbread carousel (not for eating). DVC members have been known to decorate the balcony (bring extension cord)

Since Beach Club and Animal Kingdom are our home resorts and I know how much I love the Beach Club, I just can't see us going back to SSR unless we have a last minute trip or rent points. I'm so excited to try out Kidani at Christmas! I'm sure we will love it there too, but I can already tell it will be so very different. I just hope it's an comfortable as the Beach Club is...:goodvibes

Ahhh, makes sense! I can certainly see why you love the Beach Club so much. Excellent location and BEAUTIFUL! :thumbsup2 I really want to stay there sometime, and you've fed the "need" even more with all these awesome pictures. ;)

I love the movies on the beach, or in the pool, idea. SSR had that going when we were there in January, but it was too cold-and Henry is too squirmy!

Love the pic of Baylor without an arm. :rotfl:

Us too, although I have seen one fellow wearing some around here, but he's from France...
:lmao: you say that like it explains it all! well, ok so it does, but it just struck me as funny!

The Beach Club is so authenic that they have this guy making sure the suits are up to community standards! :cool1:

the victorians were onto something with their swimming costumes!
I wonder how embarassed my family would be if I wore that on vacation??
I guess I could give them a choice between a bikini or that.............

Hey, and with those things there would be not last minute shaving before going to the pool for the first time each summer.

I just want one of those swim caps and a some inner tubes like the little girls has, although it will take a few more to keep me a float!

I've found that the only good use of "the girls" is a flotation device.;) I don't think I could drown anymore if I tried.

:rotfl: You have a fabulous sense of humor! I love TR's that make me laugh. Pretending to take a photo of the ducks when you were really shooting that guy in his manpris...too too funny!

The BCV are beautiful! I stayed there (before DVC) when I did the land/sea a few years ago. Such a great location! :cutie:
I really liked Cape May too but haven't been back since I stayed there....after looking at your pictures I may have to change some ADR's
Thank you also for your F&G pictures. I am going next May for the first time and love to see all of the pictures. I remember seeing some giraffe topiaries that would look wonderful in my back yard. ;)

Ros, thanks so much for posting these! I wonder if we are allowed to put up lights at Kidani on the Savannah side?
Wig - you're doing something right :) :thumbsup2
I sure hope so!

As hard as I have tried, I just can't do justice to beauty of that resort. You should really try to stay there, just make sure Henry is old enough to enjoy SAB. It's the bomb!

You will need to go in a warmer month for movies in the pool!
It won't be long until Henry out grows his squirmies!

Love the pic of Baylor without an arm. :rotfl:
Never a dull (or quiet) moment!

I tell you, my swimsuit looks like that......:cutie:

Hey, and with those things there would be not last minute shaving before going to the pool for the first time each summer.
Wow, I never though about shaving back then, I wonder if they used a straight razor?:scared1:

I'm glad you have found a use for your "ladies" mine are quite useless..:rotfl:

How are you feeling? Better I hope!
:flower3:

Ohh, it was funny, because I kept saying "I have to have a picture of these ducks" Here honey, come get in this picture with these cute ducks".....Those people had no clue that I was being a super secret agent.....

Isn't it great? We sure think so!

I'm not sure if we will make it to the Clambake in December but I hope to get over there for breakfast!

You are going to love F&G, what are your dates?

Oh yes, strike now! Here's my advice to you.....take it or leave it. Buy where you want to stay, figure out how much money you will spend if you buy through Disney, then take a look at Timeshare Store and see how much farther your money will go...... I saw Beach Club points there the other day for $88 per point...and they advertise financing if you need to go that way!

Thanks! I will take all advice! After a morning spent researching, I think we will do resale if we decide to buy. Even with a member referral, the price of resale can't be beat. Now we just have to decide where?? We're torn-lots of points at perhaps not our all-time favorite (but would still like to stay there) with hopes of getting a ressie 7 months out somewhere else OR fewer points at one that we'd like to stay at over and over...:confused3 There's just too many choices! But it's fun looking at everything!:thumbsup2

Another two cents....
Email or call Timeshare Store and get on their email list, we get new listings sometimes twice a day....
That way if you know what you want you can call fast. Also look for contracts that have banked points...
Again, I say, buy where you want to stay..:thumbsup2

Wig,
Lights on the Savanah side outdoors at Kidani are probably not a good idea because of the animals. I think inside the room you could do them somewhere.

What is interesting about this photo - besides the Washington Monument. The Lincoln Memorial is not in the photo, nor many other buildings along the Potomac River. Don't think I'd be swimming in that water today :)

That's what I was thinking, so maybe inside or maybe not at all...... it's going to be a rather quick trip.

Hmmmmm, it probably wasn't too clean then either, they just didn't know any better...
