A Wigdout Spring Break Adventure very short pre-trip report

Our Field Day is next Friday! Unfortunately I have way more days of school .... and you will be in WDW while I am still in school!

I know but I will be at home crying when you are there!

I know but I will be at home crying when you are there!

And that's the continuing story. One family goes, while one family stays back and waits their turn. Then that family goes, and as they are drying the tears on the way back to real life, another family is whooping it up on the way down. Just a big old Disney roller coaster of up and down emotions!

I talked to Nicole the other morning while she was waiting for Magic Kingdom to open. I could picture myself standing right there in the crowd! She put up a picture on Twitter outside her room overlooking to WL lobby. Yesterday she wrote that they had been upgraded at AKL when they transferred. I'm excited about seeing a lot of great pictures from her trip and from you guys and CP and Lady Lallie while we wait, and then we'll return the favor in August.

I'm glad you have Field Day behind you. It is both fun and exhausting. We have 3 1/2 days left. We've got an awards assembly Tuesday and a picnic Wednesday, so if we can make it through Monday, we've got it made! Thursday is a half-day, so there will be a few who only come to pick up their report cards and leave. The theme for the week will be goodbyes and mountains of paperwork.

Wow MeMom! You really are on the homestretch. We have four full days, then our half day. It will be a full house for the half day as well. We have our awards assembly early on Friday then will have a fun activity back in the classroom to finish out our day....I'm planning on marble roller coasters, done with foam insulation pipe that has been cut in half length wise. We use toilet paper tubes to connect them. They get very creative with loops and bumps and marbles are rolling everywhere!

You have such a great way of putting our Disney trips in perspective it is a continuing story. We are so lucky to have the DIS to feed our addiction!
The toughest part for me is that we don't have another trip until December, that's a very long time to wait.

The Rest of the Story.........

We had come to our final day. Our ADR was at Liberty Tree Tavern for lunch, so packing up was first on our list today. The purple locker needed to be secured for our next visit and then luggage taken over and checked for the airport. With our carry-ons left at the desk we were off to say goodbye to some of our favorites.

Baylor of course needed to get as many rides on BTMRR as possible so we started off in that direction, it was early so we had no problem getting on, in fact we ended up riding 5 times in a row! Baylor was a happy boy!
We headed over to check out the line for Haunted Mansion and on the way I snapped this picture (since it has my DGD's name on it).

Not much of a wait for Haunted Mansion so we rode, it was fun as always and the music is starting to remind me of calling Disney Dining, instead of the music making me think of HM....

We had a little time before lunch so decided that the Jungle Cruise would be a good choice, and it was, very little wait for that one either.
After Jungle Cruise we made our way back to LTT for lunch, it was yummy! I had the pot roast.....

Marc had the roast beast sandwich..........

and Baylor had the burger.....

This was such a good lunch everyone loved what we selected! In fact it was so good that this led me to that last phone call to change our LTT dinner to lunch.........and you all know how that ended up!

Typically I'm soooo sad at this point in the trip I can barely pick my bottom lip up off of the concrete, but since we had another trip coming so quickly I was ready to leave without shedding a tear! I just needed to get back to school and finish up the year, and get ready for another, much longer Disney trip. Little did I know that there would be a job interview and school change thrown into the mix...

We had a peaceful trip back to Kansas, it was funny though, while in Atlanta Baylor ran into the person that he sat next to from Wichita to Atlanta on the way down and decided to sit with her while we waited for our flight....... Do you supposed he was a little tired of our company?

Ok I think I have caught up on everything now. I've missed so much. But it's all good now. I think I'm done being sick now. Craziness is when I got sick I got the urge to sping clean. Not only is my closet COMPLETELY cleaned out (ok almost headed to Ikea in a minute to get one more organizer) but my car is as well. I still think that I need a bigger closet. I have some filing left in my classroom that needs to get done but then that's it. A bigger classroom would be nice too.

Bytheway, Wigd have you noticed that BD and Shocker have completely taken over your report? I think they planned it that way. I don't know why but it seems like they think it's their job to keep us entertained.

So in just a few more days you will be here in the glorious HOT sun with me. Just one little warning - it has been hot! Be sure to pack your sunscreen. So when you are you planning on posting your final, final, no, really this is it, FINAL ADRs? Hmm then again maybe you should hold off on that until you've gotten back from the trip. Oh, and if you arrive and you have no place to stay I've got room. Hey we could even pitch a tent in the backyard for Shocker and tell him it's Fort Wilderness.

Are we still on for the 30th? I'm dead set on getting ya'll off property when you come. Any place in particular you want to go? An outlet or 2 maybe? Hmmm maybe it's a good thing my trunk is completely cleaned out now.

Ok well I'm off to Ikea and who knows since I'm there I might even stop by Disney. Haha maybe I'll just stop by a resort with my mug from my last trip and just go in to refill it. Haha I'm so kidding. That would be just a waste of time to drive all the way there, get through the gate, park, go all the way in, refill my mug, sip some of it down, top it off again, and then leave just for a soda.

Your LTT food looks so good. I want to go there for lunch someday, it always gets good reviews. The dinner is just not my thing!

Well, I am certainly glad to find out that it was a Disney CM with a sense of humor that caused such a stir about the missing nights!!! Whew, that was sort of confusing me and being such a newbie I was trying to get to the bottom of it, for future referrence if needed. So, I have put a little note in my Disney Binder to be very careful about calling and making changes to a perfectly good reservation that has already been made, with either additional days or ADR changes.....I guess one never knows what could happen when working with these computers and how a wrong key could be accidently hit by a "serious" CM. Anyway, glad it was just a jokester at the "World" playing a little practical joke and not really a wrong key hit during one of the hundreds of changes to your reservations!!! Of course, I am even prouder that my friend, Shocker was able to get it all straight again too!!

Wigd. loved all the pictures you added! So proud of Marc for pointing at Stitch and not to his right!! Is there anything you would like to share with Shocker about you and your Mickey........or is it just Mickey that Shocker needs to have a talk with?? You should also be commended for the devotion you made with your Flatties......and Baylor should be given extra spending money for his willingness to be seen with the two of you and your flatties!!!

I don't know what Chickie was talking about "stealing"......me and Shocker....I am beside myself. I would NEVER steal anything!! Chickie knows I am new and merely attempting to learn the ropes of the World and of the Dis. I know my dear FRIEND Shockerusually refrains from responding to such attacks made against him, even though it is clear that he is merely seeking and speaking the truth(though being called a thief may indeed cause him to finally stand up for himself), but if it doesn't, I wil go ahead and say it.....he would NEVER steal a thing from his precios Wigd. He merely attempts to please her in every way he can think of. Off property, sounds like it could get even more costlier to me Shocker?????????

I'm happy that we aren't taking any "flats" with us this trip! Baylor did have fun posing with them as well, but when they were presenting the "flats" to the kids at school, they wanted to know who "that kid" was in their pictures....

Yes, December at Kidani, it's going to be a wonderful trip, we are taking the baby (who will be 17 months), her parents, Baylor and Max our German exchange student....

We didn't take Baylor until he was in the 1st grade and he hid behind the trash cans when we met Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum.......
The pattern continued the entire trip, if they were in a full costume he didn't like them but, if they had their faces showing he was fine.
