A Whole New World - Final Thoughts

Just like Jerry Springer, I feel that a few final thoughts are needed.

Here are the opinions of my family on our first ever trip to WDW:

Kev

Favourite ride: Soarin / Toy Story Mania
Favourite restaurant: 'Ohana
Favourite experience: The whole holiday - everything was better than expected and I couldn't find fault with any aspect of it.

Olivia

Favourite ride: Rock n Roller Coaster / Expedition Everest
Favourite restaurant: Chef Mickey's / Crystal Palace
Favourite experience: The parade at MVMCP, and when Emilia finally started to like the characters.

Jessica

Favourite ride: Haunted Mansion / Soarin'
Favourite restaurant: Chef Mickey's
Favourite experience: BBB, the magic shots on the photopass, the lights on the Castle.

Emilia

Favourite ride: Splash Mountain / Big Thunder Mountain
Favourite restaurant: Chef Mickey's / Garden Grill
Favourite experience: Meeting the characters (!) Going on the
aeroplane

Me

Favourite ride: Soarin', Tower of Terror
Favourite restaurant: 'Ohana / Sanaa
Favourite experience: Sooooo many! Santa shouting Jessica's name during the parade, Emilia hugging Minnie, first time on Main Street, MNSSHP, MVMCP, having quality time as a family, laughing together

I need to go back as there are so many things I NEED to do, but didn't get the chance during this first trip.

I want to experience:

A dole whip
A pretzel filled with cheese & jalepenos
Yak and Yeti Restaurant
The rest of the countries at Epcot
Different Cola from around the world
Disney Quest
Typhoon Lagoon
The Osborne Lights
New Fantasyland
Main Street Electrical Parade
Enchanted Tiki Rooms
Test Track
Studio Backlot Tour
Finding Nemo - The Musical

A Florida Mall

Universal Studios
Busch Gardens
Discovery Cove
Sea World

Great trip report. Ive been 8 times now for trips of between 10 nights and 26 nights and I still have lots left on my list of things to do!

I've really enjoyed reading your trip report (I've read it all today ) it takes me back to our first trip when our DDs were similar ages to yours. Happy memories, you can't put a price on them.

We started saving as soon as we got back!

We are hoping to go back in 2016, as it will take a long time to save - but at least I'll know it will be worth every penny.

I see you already have a shiny new ticker in place and you'll be amazed at how quickly 2016 will come round. We started saving for this summer's holiday when we got back from WDW in January 2010 and at first it seemed so far off in the future (eldest DD hadn't even started uni and she graduates soon!) but it's now just over 4 months until we go.

Hope your time goes quickly too.

I have just read your PTR and your whole TR in one go!

What an amazing holiday - sounds like you had the time of your lives. I actually can't believe how much you managed to fit in (and it has me slightly worried now that we may only do 10 days or so at WDW and then the rest offsite - I had originally thought 2 weeks WDW and 1 week offsite but that doesn't give us much time to do Universal / Seaworld / Discovery Cove and some shopping too!!).

Anyway, back to your TR. I loved the look of your girls' faces - they are all such pretty girls, with Emilia being very cute! My fave photo - well two are the one of you with the ghosts outside of HM and the one of Jess with Dug where he is licking her - her face is priceless.

Loved all your photos with the overlays - seems that is a must (although I know it is changing).

Love the idea of £2 coins - will lift that one although we don't have as long to save as you had on your first trip.

OKW looked lovely too - just as the photos prove. Glad you managed to change your room - we went to the Red Sea at Easter and had very noisy people above us - it took us a few days to sleep through them (pillow over head!) - every morning very early. I did ask to move but the hotel was full apparently . So, I am pleased you could move.

I have so many questions but will keep them for another time . I have also picked up so many tips, so thank you so much. Your costing thing has helped enormously too - you don't realise how many incidentals there will be do you.
