A Whole New World - A Disneymoon PreTrip - June 2009 - *TR IS STARTED!*

Hey! We'll be there the same time as you! We get there the 22nd and are leaving July 1st. Here's where we're eating compared to yours. (Mine's in pink)

June 24 - 50's Prime Time Cafe (4:05): We'll be at DHS too eating at Mama Melrose at 4!
June 25 - Le Cellier (6:50): We'll be at Chef Mickey's
June 26 - Chef Mickey's (7:00 AM): We'll be at CRT for dinner
June 27 - California Grill (8:05): We'll be at the late Luau at the Poly at 8!
June 28 - Boma (6:25): We'll be at 1900 PF at 6:25 too!
June 29 - O'hana (5:10): We'll be at Olivia's
June 30 - Tony's Town Square (5:30): Oh my gosh! We'll be at Tony's that night too! Only our ADR is for 6:30!

We will defintitely need to look for each other since we are there at the exact same time, especially on the 30th...I'll be the one crying my eyes out since it will be our last full Disney day! :rotfl:

There are perks to working at a Catholic school (getting Good Friday & Easter Monday off is definitely one of them!)

Now that you know our basic plan it is time to find out what specific things we are going to do our 8 glorious "relaxing" days at WDW!

We will start with our first park of the trip (it always is, it is great way to ease into Disney)....MGM/DHS

Besides taking tons of photopass pictures so we don't only have pictures with DF's outstretched arm, here are the attractions I am most excited for at MGM.

MUST Do, Otherwise I Will CRY:
Toy Story Mania – I have heard wonderful things about this new one! I can’t wait to try it. If it is anything like Buzz Lightyear at MK, it will become a new favorite.

Rockin Rollercoaster – A FAVORITE! Fast, scary, and Aerosmith! What more do you need?

Tower of Terror – I love it and hate it all at the same time. I always look like this in the pictures - :scared1: Never disappoints.

The Magic of Disney Animation – We have never done this one before, but I have always wanted to learn to draw a Disney character! Not being the best artist, this one should be interesting .

American Idol – Want to watch it, not participate in it, that wouldn’t be pretty.

Fantasmic – I was very upset to see that Fantasmic wouldn’t be showing on our scheduled day, but then I rememebered that we are staying on property and have park hoppers, therefore we will just go another night. I know a lot people can’t justify the wait for Fantasmic and think it is a see it one time kind of show, but it is a must as are all the nighttime shows!

Want to Do:
(Pretty much everything else except Star Tours, makes me a little queasy, although if DF wants to ride, I told him he can, but he says it isn’t a MUST do he would rather ride RnR or ToT again.)

Indiana Jones – We have seen this many times, however, we have missed it the past 2 trips, so I think it is time to pay a visit to Mr. Jones himself on this trip.

Lights, Motor, Action – Seen it 2 times, but always pleases and never disappoints.

Muppet Vision – Tell me, who doesn’t love the Muppets and a 3-D show? Although the effects are not as good as some other Disney 3-D shows, this one is always a classic. :3dglasses

Backlot Tour – Missed it last time, seen it before. Love all that behind the scenes stuff.

Voyage of the Little Mermaid – For the girly girl in me. DF gets Light, Motor, Action, I get the Little Mermaid.

Beauty & The Beast on Stage – We think this is a good time killer if you are waiting for a Fastpass time. Plus, I love the soundtrack!

The Great Movie Ride – Always the same, nice long, relaxing, dark ride.

In addition, I want to meander through that one store that is after the Disney Animation attraction, they have such awesome stuff in there and I know I can spend a small fortune, afterall we have a new house to fill with Disney things.

And any characters we meet will be a bonus! :cheer2:

MGM will be our first time doing EMH ever, I know they used to give out wristbands, but stopped that. Do I need to do anything special?? I am such a staying on property newbie. :rotfl:

Since they eliminated the wristbands, now you have to show your room key at each attraction. I haven't had to use this new system...on our honeymoon they were still using the wristbands. I've read both good and bad things about it over on the theme parks boards.

Thanks for info, I will have to venture to the theme parks boards for some more details. :thumbsup2

MUST Do, Otherwise I Will CRY:
Toy Story Mania – I have heard wonderful things about this new one! I can’t wait to try it. If it is anything like Buzz Lightyear at MK, it will become a new favorite. I absolutely love this ride!

Rockin Rollercoaster – A FAVORITE! Fast, scary, and Aerosmith! What more do you need? :scared1: I'm not that big into really scary stuff

Tower of Terror – I love it and hate it all at the same time. I always look like this in the pictures - :scared1: Never disappoints. Yeah, you can have my turn on this one, too, lol.

The Magic of Disney Animation – We have never done this one before, but I have always wanted to learn to draw a Disney character! Not being the best artist, this one should be interesting . Never done it, but want to

American Idol – Want to watch it, not participate in it, that wouldn’t be pretty. :rotfl: What? You can't sing?

Fantasmic – I was very upset to see that Fantasmic wouldn’t be showing on our scheduled day, but then I rememebered that we are staying on property and have park hoppers, therefore we will just go another night. I know a lot people can’t justify the wait for Fantasmic and think it is a see it one time kind of show, but it is a must as are all the nighttime shows! Love Fantasmic! A great way to sit calmly at the end of the day. . .

Want to Do:
(Pretty much everything else except Star Tours, makes me a little queasy, although if DF wants to ride, I told him he can, but he says it isn’t a MUST do he would rather ride RnR or ToT again.) I love Star Tours! You can have TOT and RNR. I'll take Star Tours. . .

Indiana Jones – We have seen this many times, however, we have missed it the past 2 trips, so I think it is time to pay a visit to Mr. Jones himself on this trip. Good show, IMO.

Lights, Motor, Action – Seen it 2 times, but always pleases and never disappoints.

Backlot Tour – Missed it last time, seen it before. Love all that behind the scenes stuff. Another never seen.

Beauty & The Beast on Stage – We think this is a good time killer if you are waiting for a Fastpass time. Plus, I love the soundtrack! Love this one, too!

The Great Movie Ride – Always the same, nice long, relaxing, dark ride. Nice, calm, and COOL! Important for June in WDW.

Up Next: What we want to accomplish at Epcot

You got some good plans, even though I must guiltily admit that Hollywood Studios is my least fave of all of the parks. :rolleyes1 Different strokes for different folks, I guess.

I really have to get the PTR back on its feet!

I promise I will!

I just wanted to say....

1 MONTH UNTIL OUR DISNEYMOON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Okay, I promise a real update soon....

Happy LONG Weekend everyone! :goodvibes

1 month! 1 month! I'm so excited for you! Maybe we'll run into each other.

MICKEY MAIL ARRIVED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
:cool1::cool1::banana::banana: Although it went to DF's house and I am at my house and I don't get to see it until tomorrow! BUT WE ARE GOING IN 28 DAYS!!!

In one week, we will be checking into the Grand Floridian & we will be newlyweds! SO excited! :cool1: It is definitely time for an update...wedding planning kind of took over my life, but I am here now, well at least for the next 3 days before the wedding so watch out for some updates!

WHAT WE WANT TO ACCOMPLISH AT EPCOT

MUST Do, Otherwise I Will CRY:

Soarin’ – This is seriously the best ride at Epcot! Now, usually simulation rides make me feel icky, but because Soarin’ is so real with all the scents and everything, it does not make me feel sick. This is DF’s favorite too, we are hoping to get front row so we don’t have to see the dangling feet. Maybe that is when the Bridal ears will come in handy.

Test Track – We missed this one in 2007 and the only time I have ever ridden in was in 2005...and I loved it. I was really bummed when we didn’t make it on in 07. And I have to remember to get our photo from this ride onto our Photopass card—I wish they did this with all the rides!

Maelstrom– I don’t what my obsession is with this ride, but there is something about it that I just love! It is one of those “silly” fun kind of rides. And again, in 2007, we missed this one because it was broken. Ah yes, heartbroken I was, but this year we will definitely ride, I am sure cracking up the entire time!

Spaceship Earth – We haven’t been on this one since the new addition, so we are excited to see it for myself. I have seen pictures from various TR’s so I know the ending, but it will still be fun to see it for myself! This is one of the most relaxing rides in all of WDW – love it!

Want to Do:

Pretty much everything else except Mission Space, even the green side. I went on it once, before they gave you the option of green vs. orange...and I promised myself that I would never put myself through that torture again! DF love it so we may get Fast Passes for it anyways, for him of course, because after all, it is his Disneymoon too! :rotfl2:

Living with the Land– Always different things to see in this one. We usually ride this one while we wait for our FP for Soaring’ or right after lunch at Sunshine Seasons. Very educational, this one fulfills the “teacher” side of me. I also like the Circle of Life show inside the Land Pavilion. We love animals so if we get to this is will be a bonus~!

The Seas with Nemo & Friends – We rode this in 2007 and weren’t too impressed. I do love the movie though and just for that reason would ride one of the Clam-mobiles again, but if we didn’t get to it, it really wouldn’t faze me.

Honey I Shrunk the Audience – Not one of the top 3-D shows Disney has to offer, but fun, except the mousey part...I close my eyes and lift my feet at this part because of my major mouse phobia (FYI: Phobia does not include mice that wear clothing; ie: Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse)

Universe of Energy– Another educational one, nice, long, & relaxing. DF often takes his mid afternoon nap on this one.

Journey into Imagination with Figment – How can you not love Figment? He is just awesome! One of my earliest Disney memories was meeting the guy in the hat who was Figment’s owner..(forget his name, and hey, I was like 3 years old). I also love all the activities after the ride, we also spend a lot of time in there!

Turtle Talk with Crush – Soooo funny! This one always gives me a good laugh. I would really like to explore the Living Seas area because I hear there are some pretty cool things (like Manatees) to see in there!

Grand Fiesta Tour (Mexico Boat Ride) – Ah, the romantic boat ride through Mexico. Very pretty and every time we go, no wait! Would love to try and get our own boat on this one too...break out the Bridal ears!

Disney Visa Character Meet – We get to do this twice this year since I am now a proud Disney Visa cardholder! The interaction with the characters is always great and makes for some great pictures!

In addition, if they are still doing that Kim Possible clue thingy, I wouldn’t mind trying that, I read about it in someone else’s TR and it seemed really cute! We may save this for our World Showcase day though. We also like to wander around the Innoventions pavilions. Illuminations will be another night, when we tour the World Showcase!

We have ADR’s at Le Cellier and I am VERY excited to try their Cheddar Cheese soup. Mmmm!

There are EMH at Epcot tonight too, and I am hoping to get back on Soarin’ & Test Track!
