No Disney but a lot of trains, and we all know how much Walt Disney loved trains! :) Also some photos of a classic old hotel from a golden era of railroad barons.

Nice pics! DW was in Roanoke on business a couple of summers ago and I went down over July 4th to spend the night...in the Hotel Roanoke. Great old hotel. The city was pretty nice too, my first trip there.

They were still building the funky new art museum when we were there.

Didn't see any pics from the Star on the Mountain, did you get a chance to go up there?
 

There is a great little zoo on top of Mill Mountain, not far from the star.

Roanoke is particularly nice to visit in the fall as it's surrounded by mountains (and surrounds Mill Mountain itself) filled with foliage color.
