Hi everyone! Just got back from a week at WDW (and my 35 birthday) and was it great! The weather was perfect and the food was great too. Now just so you know there are a lot of snacky foods and F&W foods, DH and I tend to get one CS item and share it, also I let DH run the show this trip, he called the shots so there were a few TS places that we cancelled because DH just wanted to wing it (I know, not the way I wanted to do it but oh well) We tried a few new places and items that I never had before....I am just starting to load the pictures now and there will be a TON from the F&W! Stay tuned!

Ok here we go. I am not going to do my dining reviews day by day because frankly, I forget what we ate when! Let me start with the breakfasts.

Yacht Club Galley. There was a menu change that I was not aware of. The few menus online listed cinnamon raisin french toast which is DHs favorite. Well when we arrived we noticed it was replaced with plain french toast with berries and berry sauce. He ordered it and asked for the berries and sauce on the side. Good thing he did because the sauce was way too sweet to eat. The berries were blueberries, raspberries and strawberries which DH and I shared, they were wonderful. The french toast was limp and soggy but DH put butter and syrup on it and ate it anyways. It came with a side of bacon and the waitress asked if he liked his bacon crispy or soft, he likes it crispy and they brought him a plate of it, DH said it was the best bacon he had onsight.

I knew that I was going to order the eggs benedict so that is what I got! It was out of this world wonderful. The eggs were cooked perfect, nice and soft on the inside, the sauce was awesome and they did not skimp on it and the proscuitto was fantastic! The only problem (which is not that big of a deal) was the potatoes that came with it were HORRIBLE. They were overpowered by the peppers and tasted burnt (even tho they were not). I was filled up from the eggs benny so I would not have eaten them anyways but DH was still a bit hungry and he couldnt stomach them...yuck.

The coffee was blech but we managed to get a few cups in us. The OJ and Grapefruit juices were nice and cold, served in a large glass and the server gave us refills at no additional charge.

Main Street Bakery Since we had a day without any breakfast plans we decided to check this place out...DH is a big French Toast fan so I thought he might like the french toast loaf. (We had our lattes from the coffee bar at Kona and they were like warm milk, no flavor at all!)

We arrived to the entrance of the bakery a few minutes after 9 and the line was out the door, it moved quickly though. We decided to get the cinnamon bun, french toast loaf and fruit. The cinny bun was not that great, it was on the hard side and pretty much unexciting (the best buns we have had are at the value and mod food courts). The fruit was great and the french toast loaf was very flavorful. Nice and soft and moist on the inside and a nice crunch on the outside. We will come here again for sure!

Kona Breakfast Our favorite place, we ate there this morning and I miss it already! We had two of the fantasic pressed pot coffees, oh god is this good stuff.

DH had his normal thing, Tonga Toast with bacon! The bacon was very crisp and there was alot of it too. He asked for the new strawberry sauce on the side (our server said they always serve it on the side). This was great as always but the strawberry sauce makes it even better! It is identical to the strawberry soup at 1900 Park Faire.

DH talked me out of the macadamia nut pancakes (I could kill him for that) and into the Big Kahuna Breakfast because it comes with a smaller portion of the pancakes, plain french toast, bacon, sausage and ham, eggs and potatoes. I told him he better help me eat all this food! I subbed extra bacon and sausage for the ham but they only gave me one link of sausage. The eggs were nice and moist and sooo good. The potatoes were awesome and had alot of flavor. The french toast went to DH so I dont know how that was. The sausage was great but the bacon was too smokey for me so DH ate it. The pancakes had the pineapple and nut butter on the side and OMIGOD is this stuff amazing. I could eat this every day of my life it is that good and get this, DH did not like it...hmpf...more for me next time!

Our server noticed my b-day button and brought out this little surprise...

A very good little cream puff with a light chocolate filling and a yellow cream on top with fresh whipped cream. It was yummy!

Thanks for the great reviews ! I need to work Kona breakfast in our plans somehow.

Crystal Palace We had a 9:20 reservation and were seated right away. The line to check in was super long and they did not have any pagers left so you had to listen for your name. Well these seaters whisper your name and do not walk around calling for you which makes all the people cram up by the front entrance and no one can get in or out of the restaurant easily. They should have a loudspeaker to call for people. We normally go at 8:05 but DH did not want to be on a strict schedule this trip so 9:20 it is...it was great coming from the Poly, just a few minutes.

This is a favorite of ours and it did not disappoint us. The food was super fresh and plentiful. Lots of great fresh fruit, watermelon, cantelope, honeydew, grapes, pineapple and the biggest reddest most delicious strawberries with real whipped cream ever.

There was a new bowl of the breakfast lasagne put out just as we got there so I decided to try it again, on previous trips I have not liked it but this one looked so good with all the banana and strawberries on top. Well it was very good this time, a nice custardy bread and fruit filling. The banana bread was great, full of nuts and banana flavor. The raspberry coffee cake was just yellow cake with a very sweet cinnamon sugar crust...nothing special. DH said the cinnamon donuts were good.

The bacon was very smokey, greasy and limp, the sausage links were great (they also had sausage patties). The scrambled eggs were awesome, the roasted red potatoes were great, DH said the potato casserole was very good, the corn beef hash was salty, the biscuits were soft and the gravy was pretty tasty. The croissants were so fresh and flaky I had two! The puffed french toast was going fast and we snagged a few pieces, this is super yummy stuff!

There were many empty tables when we were seated so there wasnt a line for the food, lucky us. No characters on our side of the restaurant. 40 minutes later no characters ever made it to our side, all 4 were still on the other side of the place. Now this is not a big deal for us 2 adults but the families around us were pretty ticked off. Kids were crying and whining, parents were getting nasty with their servers. I mean come on, keep 2 on each side and let them rotate back and forth. By the time we left the family next to us demanded to see the characters because they were done eating and wanted to get out into the park and the line for the food was backed up to the front door...we had a heck of a time getting out of there....but I would still eat here again!

This is the breakfast lasagne:

Cape May Breakfast Buffet/Goofys Beach Bash This is DHs favorite breakfast but it was just ok this time and I think that had to do with the service. We went here a 9:30 on our the day we checked out of the Yacht Club and moved over to the Poly. The line to check in was insane, all the way across the lobby. We normally eat here right when they open, before 8 am, and it has always been a very quiet place with great food. This time it was a chaotic mad house. When we checked in the hostess said 3 adults right? I said no just 2...she made a face and said but it says here 3 adults, oh well no problem. She gave me a pager and said it should be about 20 minutes.

In 5 minutes the pager went off and we were seated at a huge booth set for 4. The seater said 3 adults, where is the third person. I said no just 2 and I corrected the hostess when I checked in. She said ok just take this booth anyways. So we sit at this huge booth and the server takes one look at us, picks up the paper the seater left on the table and said where is the third person. OK PEOPLE WE ARE JUST 2!! So I explained again and he got irritated and made comments under his breath and walked away..ooookay what the heck was that about. So another table is seated with 3 people right in front of us. The server comes back and gets there drink order but has not taken ours yet. When he comes back with their coffee and juices I flag him down and tell him juice and coffee for us too please. Not a nod or a smile from this guy.

We go up to get some food and the first thing DH does is go to the yogurt bar area...this is his fav because of the blueberries, raspberries and strawberries. Well the only fruit there is tiny bites of strawberries...big time disappointment for him. Also gone is the carved ham area...anothe fav of DH. Ok fine no prob there is plenty to eat here. We get our plates and head back to the table and the coffee is delivered as is the juices...but my OJ is in a tiny little glass and DH grapefruit juice is in a huge glass. I never got the server to refill the juice or the creamer for the coffee. Nor did he ever remove the dirty dishes, maybe he figured since we were at a large table we could pile them up on the side.

On to the food. Everything was very good, the potatoes, the bacon was crisp and not greasy. Sausage links were great, scambled eggs, croissants, the best bread pudding ever! Fruit was so flavorful we had to get seconds on it, pineapple, grapes, melons, oranges and grapefruits.

We spent time with Goofy and Minnie but never did get to see CHip and Dale...the place was packed with people so they were probably hung up somewhere.

So now we want to get the bill and leave. The table next to us had the check delivered and the server looked towards us and walked away. We think he is going to just bring our check right? Wrong...he doesnt do anything. We finally flag him down and get the check and pay and I left him a very tiny tip and I am normally a 20% kinda girl but I left him 3 bucks.

Here is a picture of the fruit plate:

And my breakfast plate, again DH ate half his before I could get a pic:

Fabulous pictures!! I'm so hungry reading this! We just returned last week, and I'm in deep post-Disney depression. I love Kona for breakfast, but on our last day I wanted a nice lunch and we easily got a reservation at Kona. It was FANTASTIC! The best meal the whole trip. I think next time I'll have to do breakfast AND lunch or dinner there!

Looking forward to more!

Beach Club Market Place We were supposed to go to Boma this day but DH was tired and wanted to hang by the pool for most of the morning. This is the only CS option nearby so we went for it. We got the fruit bowl which is very good, coffee was terrible, a cinnamon bun that was good and 2 cheese omelet sandwiches..mine on a croissant and DH on a bagel. The omelet was hard and dry and the outside tasted like burnt cheese. We salvaged the croissant and bagel...would not get this again. The omelet is in a large pan cut into large slices and sits under a heat lamp, they are not prepared to order but they are put into the sandwich to order...they do not tell you this but you can have your choice of croissant, bagel (3 flavors), rolls or bread.

Peco Bills DHs fav CS is the Pirate and the Parrot across from POTC but it is never open anymore. When I told him that Peco Bills has a taco salad he was thrilled. I figured he could have that and I could get the tuna sandwich from CHH but I was not that hungry so I nibbled on his.

The wait was super long and it was very crowded. We ordered the salad and a water and the server noticed my BDay button and gave me a free peanut butter brownie thing. That was so nice!

The taco salad was this, a very greasy shell with lettuce, tomatoes and beef. Not a lot of beef. Where are the beans? Where are the black olives?? We doctored it up from the topping bar with onions and salsa..and BTW my DH loves pickles so he was going to put some on the side...NO PICKLES! Can you believe they did not have any pickles on the fixing bars? We asked someone and they said they did not have any...well they should have run over to Cosmic Rays and borrowed some!!! So we got some sauteed mushrooms instead and they were great. Overall DH was disappointed in the taco salad...nothing special at all. The peanut butter brownie was so sweet we could not tolerate more than one bite.

Here are 3 reviews of CS places that I did not take pics of.

1. Captn Cooks at the Poly. Let me tell ya in the morning this place doesnt smell weird but by 11 am the place stinks so bad it made me sick (we stayed at the Poly for 4 days and passed by it often). DH thinks it is the smell of the pizza oven. Well he was right. We came in from the pool one day and decided to share a cheese flatbread and non alcoholic strawberry daquiri. When I go to pay for the food they tell me "We dont have the non alcoholic drink, they keep forgetting to take it off the menu order thing" Ok great give me a water then. The flatbread was NASTY! It tasted like crap and was hard as a rock. I demanded my money back. The cheese was so overcooked it dried into plastic. We shared a chocolate chip cookie and that was fantastic.

2. Caseys in MK. We had hot dogs without the fries. DH piled his high with sauerkraut and I had onions, mustard and ketchup on mine. They were so good and very filling.

3. Germany, we each had a braut with kraut and a beer. It was wonderful! How can you go wrong with a combo like this??
