A Week in Universal, Trip Report 9/16-9/23 (Completed!!!)

Hi again, sorry I haven't finished this yet, I have been super busy. I changed jobs and no longer get lots of free time online (why did I quit that job???)

Anyway this will be quick.

We went to IOA in the morning, it seems reduntant because we really just rode the same things again.

We went to Mythos for lunch. I had never been before and always wanted to go, it looks so appealing from the outside. The inside was just as wonderful.

We got the following items:

This was a chicken wrap, after procrastinating so long on my trip report I am sad to say I forgot what its called, I do remember not liking it very much.

My mother loved this pizza

My youngest son ate every bite of this pizza

This was a steak sandwich, it was awesome, I ate half of it.

We finished up with these:

The chocolate thing was awesome, the other was a cheesecake.

After lunch we went to US and yup rode Men and Black again...shocking I know.

After finishing up we took the boat to Portofino I have to say I liked the Royal Pacific better. Everything was closed too. So we headed to Citywalk for dinner at Bubba Gumps. I loved this place.

Since we were at Bubba's we had to get shrimp. We had a great waiter, really friendly he brought us this delicious meal.

From there it was off to the pool.

I have one day left to report. I'll try not to take so long next time. Bad Diser.

Thanks for posting, I enjoyed reading your reports all the way over here in North East England. We love the Royal Pacific and the Hard Rock, we felt the Portofino was a little bit too far away too.

I think Citywalk is best avoided on Friday and Saturday nights. We went to the Nascar one Saturday night after a full day at the parks and ended up waiting for an hour for the meal or I should say my hubbie and eldest son did. I couldn't keep my eyes open any longer and had to go back to the RPR. The waiter just knocked our meals of the bill. He had kept saying it would be here in a minute all of the time but it just wasn't funny.

It was our last full day at the parks. Today it decided to rain. A great way to end our vacation.

The day started out fine, we went to US to ride our favorites one last time, while there we had lunch at Monsters Cafe.
I got the chicken, it was ok, standard couterservice fare.

My mother had the pasta:

And the kids had pasta.

We ended up going back to the room for awhile because of the rain and started to do some packing. Since it was our last day we put our ponchos on and headed to IOA, it wasn't as much fun in the pouring rain and having to put the ponchos on and off, it was very slippery to walk especially while we entered the Spiderman que.

For dinner we went back to Citywalk and ate at NBA City, my older son really wanted to eat here so we gave it a try. We were all very glad we did because the food was excellent, being a weeknight during off season we didn't have to wait, in fact maybe five other tables were being served.

My self and Zachary had the steak sandwich it was wonderful!

My mother had the salmon, which she said was very good:

Well that was our week in Universal, we left the next day and Tiffany's came promptly to drive us back to the airport. I would highly recommend staying at Royal Pacific Hotel and using the Tiffany service.
