Thurs. April 7 Magic Kingdom
We had an 8:45 PS for CRT today. We thought if we got on the bus by 7:30, we'd be there in plenty of time to have our picture taken on Main St. with no crowds. The park was to open at 9, and it wasn't EMH day. When we got there they were already admitting everyone into the park, so we weren't able to get the pic I wanted. Main St. was pretty crowded already. It was only about 8:15 when we checked in for our PS, but we were seated quickly. Breakfast was delicious! Emily wouldn't touch hers, mainly just because it was way too early in the morning for her. One of the servers noticed she was pouting about her breakfast, and asked her, "Would m'lady like something else for breakfast?" I hadn't asked because I didn't know they had anything else, but he brought her a bowl of Fruit Loops, and she ate it all. We asked for water for her to drink because the OJ had pulp in it, which she doesn't like. Of course, normally, she would eat french toast sticks, scrambled eggs, and bacon, which was what was originally on her plate, but she later complained they just brought her a plate of food without even giving her a menu and asking her what she wanted. I guess I should have expained that ahead of time. I absolutely loved the cheese stuffed french toast. Now, keep in mind I've been doing Weight Watchers for over 6 mos. to slim down for this vacation, so anything with lots of fat in it tastes really, really, really good to me. I didn't like anything in the bread basket, but I had more than enough to eat anyway. The character interaction was pretty good, but they seemed rushed. Emily was dressed as Belle and Kristi as Cinderella. It was a good photo op anyway. After breakfast we went on Dumbo. Our wait was less than 10 min. We finished fantasy land around noon and stopped for an ice cream. (None for me, I've got to be good after that breakfast.) We got FP for Buzz, and rode TTA and CoP while we waited for our FP window. I think CoP really needs to be updated. The last scene that's supposed to be totally modern or even a little futuristic is way out of date! Kristi was a little nervous about going on Buzz, but she loved it! By now the standby wait was only 10 min. since most people were eating lunch, so we decided to ride again. Kristi wanted to go on it all day, but we decided to take a break from the park. We went to Target to finish up the shopping we had started the night before. We went to Shoney's for a late lunch/early dinner. It was very good, but they didn't have any ice cream or dessert on the buffet. (Probably a good thing actually, but I really wanted some ice cream!) We went back to the room to put away our purchases, then headed back to MK. We saw the Hall of Presidents and Country Bear Jamboree (Emily loved this! She's quite the comedian herself!), then ran toward the bridge to watch Wishes. It was good, but we missed Tink's flight by about 30 sec. We browsed the shops on the way out of the park to avoid the crowds on the street. When we finally got back to the room, I refilled our mugs and we snacked on stuff we picked up at Target.
