A wedding, two first timers, and 3000 photos! New update 9/12

I just read your story from begining to end...What an truly loving couple you both are and the pictures are amazing!!

My husband and I will be married five years coming up and I want to renew our vows. We didn't have a wedding because I was diagnosed with cancer and he wanted to marry me before anything happened to me. He is an amazing man and I love him sooooo much. We are also a blended family (he had four children, I had one and we have one together) of six . He use to be in the Army.

My dream is to renew our vows at Disney with our close family....Thank you for sharing

I'm late...but I'm totally in! Awesome TR. Love the pics! :thumbsup2

Congrats on a beautiful simple ceremony. You guys look so happy and mushy! :goodvibes

and on the topic of food porn...the raviloli at Cali has got to be my favourite...DH and I go every trip, and I flat out refuse to have anything else as a starter! :rotfl:

I am glad you are joining in!! Thank you for calling us mushy LOL

That ravioli was really tasty!! I wonder if our food preferences will continue to be alike?

You two are so lovey dovey. Blech! Hahah, okay, so in reality it just makes me wish that I had a husband or boyfriend or guy friend to enjoy things like that with. Maybe I'll dress my daughter up like a boy and make her pretend to be my date.

I do love all the pics though and Cali Grille looks amazing, the food may be a bit too refined for my taste though. Bring on more of the story!!!

I do scrap, but I don't have the cricut :(

This isn't the Honeymoon LOL this is the wedding trip. We are going back for the honeymoon after the big vow-renewal :lmao: (hey it's another reason to go to Disney)

Now you are a SMART woman to make it two Disney trips :thumbsup2 When is your vow renewal? Sounds wonderful.

We are doing the vow renewal next summer, we are also talking about taking a welcome home trip to celebrate his homecoming ( We are good at finding things to celebrate)

Thank god for the Celtics being on tonight. Otherwise I probably wouldnt have ventured on the boards tonight and found your TR. Your wedding was beautiful and everything a wedding should be...all about you and your husband! I started reading your trip report and realized that we have A LOT in common. I live in Old Orchard Beach Maine, I could not wear my rings before our wedding either becuase they were fused (everyone just couldnt get that concept thorugh their minds) We were married at WDW in Jan of 09 but had our Disneymoon this past January the 3rd to the 11th and experienced the terrible weather. We had ice on the windows. Our reception was at the Cali grill and loved the ravioli. Im pretty sure this past january we went to the cali gril on our anniversary and iim pretty sure we sat at the same table as you.

I loved reading your TR I hope that there is still more coming!!!

Holy cow! We do have alot in common! :lmao: I am glad you have enjoyed reading and yes, there is more coming!

The ring thing almost caused me some real problems. Where I stopped wearing my ring for a few weeks before the wedding a few friends noticed it was missing... hard to explain when people don't know you are getting married!

Hey Mindy Im glad you found my sisters trip report and Im excited to see that you got married on my birthday in 2009. I lived in Old Orchard beach the entire time I was in college and loved it!!! Fun to find other Mainers who share our Disney love:love:

We headed off to find some of Mom’s good cooking at the 50’s Prime Time Café! We had eaten here on my last trip, and I knew it would be right up Josh’s ally. He is very much a meat and potatoes kind of man, and loves a heavy meal.

We headed in, and sat waiting to be called for just a few moments. We looked around and laughed at all the fun stuff they have in the living room.

Before we knew it, we were seated at a table with a TV! We were very close to a door to the kitchen, so we saw lots of servers as they went back and forth through the meal.

Josh and I when we got seated.

I guess we needed one from a different angle?

The menu!

We decided to get started with some drinks while we all decided what to have.
Andrea got Dad’s electric lemonade

IMG_0332.jpg

Josh got an iced tea that can be seen in the background while he drinks my PB&J shake here. (Really the shake was for Josh and I to share, Andrea got a bar drink, and John got a beer, so we had extra drinks floating around) :lmao:

Andrea thought the DIS might like to see a napkin:rotfl:

Josh and I with our milkshake.

Andy and John, dealing with Josh and I being ridiculous

IMG_0337.jpg

Our server was very confused when we told him we got married the day before, he was wondering why my sister was with us…. This became the running question for the rest of the trip! Our server was good, somewhat funny, very attentive.

Andrea and John decided to start with that we should all share some onion rings.

IMG_0338.jpg

When it came time to decide what I wanted to eat I was really torn between the chicken pot pie, and the meatloaf. I had had the meatloaf before, so I knew I liked it, but the chicken pot pie sounded really yummy! I asked our server who told me that the chicken pot pie is made from scratch, and that is was really good.

So I went with the pie.

IMG_0339.jpg

Andrea and John had the pot roast.

IMG_0340.jpg

Josh had the chicken sandwich

IMG_0341.jpg

We all munched along and enjoyed our dinner! One waiter came out of the kitchen, and while walking by noticed our just married buttons. He loudly asked us when we had been married. We told him yesterday, and he shouted “Nice of you to come out of the hotel to see us!” It was probably one of the funniest things anyone has ever said to me!

Soon enough it was desert time!

I chose the brownie and icecream

IMG_0344.jpg

Joshua had the smores!

IMG_0345.jpg

Andrea had the cobbler

IMG_0343.jpg

I have no idea what John had.. I don’t have a photo?

Enjoying my candy Mickey
IMG_0346.jpg

While we were enjoying our desert a man across the way got his cellphone taken away because he was trying to cheat on his homework. The waitress put in right in her apron and walked off.

Another super yummy meal!!

Love the update Beth! Too funny about the "coming out of the room" thing. I was laughing out loud when I was reading it!

I'm going to try to! I'm really excited about this trip. My friend has been working two jobs (substituting so that she can work in the school, and waitressing so she has income when she doesn't sub), and I have been adjusting to teaching second grade and planning my wedding, so it'll be a nice break from everything (and my last girl's trip without worrying about my husband at home!)

My fiance and my sister have all kinds of plans together while I'm gone (her boyfriend is in the air force), so I don't even have to worry about him feeling neglected.

Anyway... I'm loving your trip report! Thanks for all the great updates! The pictures of you and Josh are so cute!

I am so excited to read about it!! Thanks for thinking we are cute :lmao:

My favorite picture at the 50's Prime Time Cafe is the last one with all 4 of you. It is so wonderful how much fun you all have together and how comfortable you are with each other.

munchkin the reason you dont have pictures of John dessert is because he had the apple cobbler too...i just realized i have the only copy of the set of pictures from one whole night can u tell me how to upload them or whatever i need to do....

After our wonderful lunch it was time to get some photos with the hat! I love the pin place under the hat by the way! They seem to have the best selection of Ariel pins, which are what I collect.

This photo cracks me up, because they forgot to add something in…

Image0350.jpg

And a group shot with a fun frame!!

Image0352.jpg

Tada!!!

Image0358.jpg

You can see in the background here the High School Musical float. On the last trip I felt like we couldn’t get away from this thing, on this trip I really wanted to see it, and we couldn’t seem to time it right! I love HSM and have all three here at home…

Image0369.jpg

We headed over so that we could get in line to see the Muppets in 3D!! Josh is a big Muppet fan, so this was a must do for us! We got our glasses, and headed in for the show! This is so fun. I know that many people feel it is outdated, but I think it is a classic! We had so much fun going through the queue, Josh and I pointed out details to each other, and giggled at the preshow.

The fountain outside
IMG_0350.jpg

Andrea had started to not feel so well during the show, so she and John decided to have a rest outside while Josh and I explored the gift shop of Muppets, and over in the Christmas store. The Christmas store didn't really have a good variety, I was very disappointed!

Snowman in Florida!
IMG_0348.jpg

While we were over there, the boys decided to do StarWars, while Andy and I hung out in the shade.
Josh wanted a picture with this thingy, I don’t know what it is LOL

IMG_0351.jpg

And the outside of Star Wars

Coming up : We waited in line for that?

Great installment. I love the picture of the two of you in front of the hat. It was fun that you shared the different borders on the PP pics.

Now I'm curious what you waited in line for.....:goodvibes
