We headed off to find some of Mom’s good cooking at the 50’s Prime Time Café! We had eaten here on my last trip, and I knew it would be right up Josh’s ally. He is very much a meat and potatoes kind of man, and loves a heavy meal.
We headed in, and sat waiting to be called for just a few moments. We looked around and laughed at all the fun stuff they have in the living room.
Before we knew it, we were seated at a table with a TV! We were very close to a door to the kitchen, so we saw lots of servers as they went back and forth through the meal.
Josh and I when we got seated.
I guess we needed one from a different angle?
The menu!
We decided to get started with some drinks while we all decided what to have.
Andrea got Dad’s electric lemonade
Josh got an iced tea that can be seen in the background while he drinks my PB&J shake here. (Really the shake was for Josh and I to share, Andrea got a bar drink, and John got a beer, so we had extra drinks floating around)
Andrea thought the DIS might like to see a napkin
Josh and I with our milkshake.
Andy and John, dealing with Josh and I being ridiculous
Our server was very confused when we told him we got married the day before, he was wondering why my sister was with us…. This became the running question for the rest of the trip! Our server was good, somewhat funny, very attentive.
Andrea and John decided to start with that we should all share some onion rings.
When it came time to decide what I wanted to eat I was really torn between the chicken pot pie, and the meatloaf. I had had the meatloaf before, so I knew I liked it, but the chicken pot pie sounded really yummy! I asked our server who told me that the chicken pot pie is made from scratch, and that is was really good.
So I went with the pie.
Andrea and John had the pot roast.
Josh had the chicken sandwich
We all munched along and enjoyed our dinner! One waiter came out of the kitchen, and while walking by noticed our just married buttons. He loudly asked us when we had been married. We told him yesterday, and he shouted “Nice of you to come out of the hotel to see us!” It was probably one of the funniest things anyone has ever said to me!
Soon enough it was desert time!
I chose the brownie and icecream
Joshua had the smores!
Andrea had the cobbler
I have no idea what John had.. I don’t have a photo?
Enjoying my candy Mickey
While we were enjoying our desert a man across the way got his cellphone taken away because he was trying to cheat on his homework. The waitress put in right in her apron and walked off.
Another super yummy meal!!
