After the ceremony was over and all the pictures had been taken, we decided to head out for lunch. I was waiting for a fight to eruput between the families. BUT we all came to an agreement that Smoky Bones BBQ sounded good! We went back to change at my parents hotel (shudder), then headed out to eat.
I was pretty concerned that since the restaurant was pretty dead, the food would not be good. But I was pleasently surprised! We all ordered different things, but I know I had a baked potato topped with pulled pork and cheese. It was one of the best things I have ever had! I think my mom, DMIL, DH's aunt, and maybe one other person ordered this and we all agreed that it was great!
After lunch some of DH's family were heading back to GA. We hugged and said our goodbye's to them.
Here is where there was slight drama, but probably because I took offense to something that wasn't meant to be hurtful. If you remember we had spent all last night with DH family. Well we had planned a long time ago that we were spending some time tomorrow with my parents at DTD for a few hours. DH family knew this and were invited as well. Here is their comment after reminding everyone of said invitation. "Well you just got married and we dont want to intrude. You need to go spend some time on your honeymoon now." So are you trying to say we should not spend time with my family tomorrow since we are doing it after the wedding, but it was perfectly ok for you all to crash our first night? I was slightly miffed, but let it go.
We all said our goodbyes and my mom and dad drove us back to the resort so they would have an idea of where to go tomorrow when they came to DTD. DH went to our room and crashed for about an hour. Finally , we got up and got around. We had plans!
Here I am all ready for the night!
Where do you think we headed?
So pretty! This was the only time we got to see the wreaths the whole time we were there!
We walked in and were in awe. Amazed. To us it was busy, but after looking at some other reports, it was dead compared to some of the pictures I have seen!
We made sure to make a stop here.
DH is a volunteer fire fighter with dreams of being able to do it full time someday. we made a stop here every time we came to the park, and missed out on getting DH the shirt he really wanted. Next time I keep telling him!
I knew we did not have a lot of time. We had a 720pm ADR for Cali Grill, and I do not think we got to the park until around 430 or 5 if i remember correctly. We walked around mostly this night, taking it all in.
I wanted to get at least one ride in. What do you think was our first ride?? It might surprise you!
It was a compete walk on. I have to admit, while in the first room and the ceiling starts to "streatch", being the last row in, I did look behind me to see if I was too close to the wall! Shameful, I know.
When we got off the ride we decided to head towards the castle. It was about 615, and people were lining up everywhere. I knew it was too soon for Wishes, so we staked out a spot and asked a few women beside us what people were waiting on. Turns out it was the lighting ceremony! We had to wait. After talking some more, we realized that the woman was from Ohio originally and lived only about an hour away from us! Small world!
The ceremony was awesome, and I am really glad we waited!
Castle before....
And after (I wish this girl was not right in the middle!)
We fought out way to the entrance of the park to get to the monorail. We had to make our ADR! We made it to the desk to check in right on time, and requested a window seat. We were told it might not happen since others had checked in before us and also requested a window. Oh well, we would be happy either way! We waited about 15 mins to be called to our table, and IT WAS A WINDOW SEAT, WITH THE CASTLE FRONT AND CENTER! We were super excited!
I ordered the 4 cheese flat bread, DH ordered the cheese sampler. I loved the flat bread, and DH loved the cheese. Well one tasted like stinky feet to me

, but I really like 3/5 so I thought that was a good ratio!
Our apps came during WISHES. THe show was amazing, and brought tears to my eyes. When we went to disney on my Wish trip, we watched it, but I had no memory of it. DH got a video, and it is awesome. I love how the lights dimmed and the music is piped in. Total tear feast for me!
For our meal I ordered the Filet, and DH got the grouper. My filet was good. Not spectacular. It came with broccolini, and I did not care for it at all, too bitter, which is a shame because I love broccoli! I don't think i would order this again. I debated between the scallops and this, and chose this to be safe. I loves me some beef! Next time, I will try something else. DH loved his grouper and I think he might have licked the bowl afterwards!
For dessert I ordered the banana trio (I am making up the name, I'm sure lol), it was awesome, and bananas are not my favorite. Since DH got the cheese, he was not able to get a dessert, which was fine with him and a good thing since they brought this out:
You can see a pic of my banana dessert as well, it was amazing. We had our awesome server box up the chocolate cake for us since we were stuffed! Our bill came, and with tip our grand total was: $142

Good thing we were on the dining plan! We tipped the amount suggested on the reciept because our server was awesome and she deserved every penny!
After the meal DH wanted to check out the observation deck. I went out too, but only lasted about 30 seconds before I realized that I desperatley needed to get back inside. I looked down and walked in the dead center of the isle until I practically ripped the door off to get back inside!

I have never had that stong of a reaction to heights before! I guess I expected the walkway to be much wider. DH stayed out to take a few pics (none turned out, sorry!) and called his dad.
We headed back down to the lobby and looked around the Fantasia store, DH wanted a lanyard, but decided to keep looking for now. A quick trip to the restroom and we headed back to the monorail.
We had asked our server the best way to get back to our hotel since MK had closed for the night. You should have seen the buses lined up, it was pretty cool to see them all from our table at Cali Grill! She was very helpful and even went to ask someone else if she did not know the answer to our question. I know we took the monorail to MK, then I want to say we took a monorail to Epcot (we might have taken the monorail to the TTC though, that makes more sense) and from there we caught the bus back to our resort. Ok I know it was at Epcot that we grabbed a bus.
We dragged our dog-tired booties up to our room and crashed. We had a great day, and another long day ahead, so we needed sleeeep!
Next: MK, DTD, and what did we think of BOMA?
