I also wore tennies at my wedding reception. My MIL made them and she used beautiful lace and sequins on the sides and some pretty sheer ribbon to put in for laces that gave it a really nice look.( I know that our Payless has a good assortment of sheer laces that would work great for princess shoes) My shoes were just a cheap $2.00 clearance pair of white canvas shoes but once they were decorated they were perfect princess shoes for my Cinderella wedding.
Since we are going in Jan. I was leaning more towards having DD wear her sparkle princess shirt. I am hoping that if I explain that it will be more comfortable that she won't be upset.
Whoever created those stupid princess shoes should be made to walk 10 miles in them. (I bet however, that they would not be able to walk 10 blocks!) We did Tinkerbell shoes with the straps on for Halloween last year and they kept falling off every other step. DD cried her eyes out when I refused to let her wear them outside trick-or-treating.
