I am so excited to hear the Memories collection has been added indefinitely! We are thinking of doing a vow renewal, and it would be perfect for what we want.
Thanks for the info!
I'm delighted that Memories is here to stay! The addition of extra photos is great too. It's perfect for a renewal, although speaking from experience, the guest restrictions can be a little too restrictive. I think they would make the package more attractive by making the max guests 8 with the couple.
Don't know what the OP finally decided to do, but I thought I would update this with the info that Disney's Memories Collection has been extended indefinitely. However, starting May 1, 2012, the price goes up to $2,495. The only thing being added to the package is 20 5x7-inch photo prints.
I love you LOL we were plannning a Memories collection VR for this coming April and well we found out I was due for our 4th child on our wedding anniversary exact date which means that we had to pass on the trip. We are going back to the world with our kids to celebrate in September. Now you just made my day by saying it got extended as I will be able to to contact them and plan for our VR for September!

yay! hmm, now have to figure out if S/D is better for us, or the memories collection for our 30th. But, atleast there are options. Good luck to the OP.

I just went on the DFTW website, and it hasn't updated the info, that I saw. I am wondering where this info came from. I would love to know before I contact them to find out about deposits and so forth. (if we go this route). Thanks lurkyloo. Also lurkyloo so as not to hyjack this thread could I possibly pm you to ask about private functions you've had in the past? TIA
Just a little sidenote, you can do a 'celebration' for an anniversary, just don't call it a vow renewal. We are celebrating our 40th in February with 30+ guests. We went through disney's catering service for it (thanks lurkyloo). We have rented the UK Lower Lochside for appetizers and drinks, ending with a viewing of Illuminations. Expensive..yes! BUT, not as expensive as a Vow renewal.

Hi! The info came directly from DFTW. It could be that they are not going to update the site until the price actually changes in April 2012, since nothing about the Memories Collection (deposits, timeline, contract, etc.) changes except that and the addition of the extra photos. Or it could just be that they haven't gotten around to updating the site yet (October is a SUPER busy month for them). At any rate, I hope they give Memories its own section of the site at some pointit's totally buried where it is right now...
Oh, and I love getting PMs, so fire away! But you might also get a lot of info out of the tutorials I've written on non-wedding event planning at Disney, here: http://disneytravelbabble.com/how-to/private-party/
I am so happy to hear the memories collection is here to stay! DH & I were just talking the other night about how we really want to do another Disney VR. This time just us & our kids so this package is perfect for us! Now to figure out when to do it, hmmmm
Don't forget too, that if you know anyone with a Military affliation to sponsor you, you can get married on Disney Property at Shades of Green at a significantly lower price!!
We are doing our VR on the Disney Magic in May...we will actually get off the ship in Nassau and go to Cabbage Beach, where the ceremony will only cost us $500 (and that includes photography with high res disc of images!). Then we will get back on the ship and do dinner at Palo at only $20 a head. Can't beat that! We can take our own pics around the ship
