We've brought DS to Disney many times, and I'm still learning new ways to help make it a great trip for him and for all of us. Obviously, WDW does a lot right, since we joined DVC and keep going back, but there are always ways to help with the everyday stresses that we all deal with on this board. Tonight, DS and I went on youtube and watched videos of his favorite rides, and a few he wants to try this time. He was delighted! We had great talks about what he wants to do this trip, and talked through the first few days, etc.

It made me realize that this would be a great way to get kids ready for their first trip; especially kids who need structure and need to know the plan--kids on the spectrum, etc. I hope this helps some DISers to plan a great trip!

::yes::

There are a couple of good video links posted in post 3 of the disABILITIES FAQs thread. My favorite one is an interactive video that is like an actual walk in the park. The ‘host’ of the video talks about each attraction and then give you a chance to either choose to go in to that attraction or keep walking.
If you choose to go in, it links to another video that actually shows part of the line, the boarding area and at least a ‘taste’ of the attraction.
