A very strange experience - what would you have done?

She must have known it is socially unacceptable. How many other mostly naked people were there? I think she could have been looking for some attention. Otherwise, she would have tried to fit in.

The thread about Most Shocking Disney Moments intrigues me. Where is it?

I would have stopped her... and tried to explain (as best as I can) that she could not go out like that.

Wow, that would have been a shock! I'm curious what happened to her. I'm not sure about FL, but I believe here in OH it is legal for women to be topless. Certainly, not socially acceptable and not something I've ever seen (except for some protesters in recent years. Funny, I don't recall what they were protesting), but not not illegal.

I can understand your shock I would never expect that at WDW. A few years back I was in Aruba and a family of 7, ranging from about 18 months to the DH (all boys/men except the mother) had a ritual of coming down to the pool area, fully clothed, go in and eat breakfast, then return, strip and put speedos (except for Mom of course)... it was hilarioius! Obviously it was part of their culture and I wasn't offended because of where I was. Shocked? Yup... but not offended. Now... here in America, especially a FAMILY oriented location such as WDW... that' just not acceptable!

Speaking as a Cast Member, had I been there, I most certainly would have spoken to her immediately in the ladies room regarding proper attire. Whether or not she planned to leave the room that way, being undressed (in full view) was improper due to guests with (or without) children coming in at any time. Had I been ignored, I would have reported the situation to security.

I took my daugter to Publix supermarket once. They give free cookies to kids but that day my daughter didn't want one. I thought that was a little odd, but continued shopping. By the time we were at the meat department, she was looking pretty green and threw up every where (including her clothes).

I took her to the bathroom and removed all of her clothes and we left with her just wearing a diaper. I am sure people were thinking what an awful mother I was to bringing my daugter to the grocery store in only a diaper.

However, I was able to stay fully dressed during the entire time and at no time did anyone see my "grandma panties".
