This isn't exactly a trip report. We were only at DTD for a few hours yesterday. But I just wanted to share my magic.

First let me back up about 2 1/2 months to my Birthday September 4th. After I got off work I headed to WDW to get my gift card for my birthday.
Well, I couldn't get the gift card because my pass had expired, and I couldn't renew because DH Fred had been laid off. I spoke to a manager about my circumstances when she told me I could only upgrade in the next 3 days. Well, I knew that wasn't going to happen. So after telling her my sob story, she told me she would give me until November 30th to renew. Great! She did mention that they were giving an extra 3 months. So I would not have my year cut into though. I was A OK with that.

So now fast forward to today, Fred and I go to Orlando for pin meet at Flippers, and decided since Fred was now gainfully employed, and we had a few paychecks under our belt, I would upgrade myone day ticket to a "Seasonal Pass" for now. Then perhaps up grade to an Annual in January when things were a bit better.

We go to guests relations at DTD, and Julian is going to help me. Just in passing conversation, he noticed that my upgrading privaleges had been extended. I explain to Julian that unfortunately my husband had been laid off at the beginning of the summer, so I was not able to upgrade on my birthday. And explained what the nice manager at the time did for me. So he recieves my photo ID and goes to work. I have my debit card ready and waiting to pay the difference. He has me fill out some small paperwork for him, no problem. He finishes up hand me my pass and tells me that the paper work I did was for my "Magical Moment" and that he was "comping" me my "ANNUAL PASS" and that it would be valid until February 14th 2011!!

I kid you not, I just stood there in utter shock wondering if I had heard him correctly. I finally managed to say, "annual pass"?? To which he answered, "Yes". Then I confirmed, "I don't have to pay for it"? "No" he said. The I stood there and cried on the poor guy. I managed to fnally ask him, "Can I at least give you a hug"? He then came around the counter, gave me a hug and whispered in my ear, "It's gonna get better, don't worry. Now you go and have a magical day". Yeah, I guess so!!

So I walk over to hubby and he looks at my wet, red face and says, "Why are you crying"?? I told him to look at the back of the pass. He says, "Annual? Complimentary"?? I just shook my head between the tears that were still there. Wow!! Even now I am still astonished! My husband got up, went over shook his hand and said Thank you!

So it was quite the "Magical Moment" and I will never forget it. Thank you and God Bless you Julian!!!

Blessings,
Winnie
