firkat said:Hello. I just started with this thread and I am still on day one just after the concierge lounge. Usually I try to wait until I have finished the whole thing before posting a comment . . . but I am scared I'll forget my questions by the end. (Ya know after 3 kids and turning the big 4 0 this year, the ol' brain ain't what it used to be!)

Loved, LOVED the description of the Eastern Airlines ride. That was one of my favorites too (along with CofP). It was so cool inside and it felt like it just whisked you away. Of course I had never even ridden on an airplane back then!
Which anniversary will y'all be celebrating in August? That lounge at the AKL looks amazing! We are staying at the Poly in Sept/Oct and I have spent so much time oggling the offerings in that lounge! What was the hot stuff they offered in the lounge anyway? I may have to hit AKL concierge on a future trip!
The look of those hot air balloons when you woke up! OMG! That must have been truly MAGICAL!
Oh, boy, I soooooo get dementia; you have no idea (I actually have DOCUMENTED dementia!!!).
I am sooo happy you remember Eastern Airline's "ride," wasn't it the best "free" ride on property?
As you've probably scoped out by now, Gwen and I will be celebrating our 20th anniversary, not bad, huh?
I can't help with concierge offerings; we were there less than 12 hours and were only lucky enough to enjoy breakfast - which included HOT cereal. But look out we're on our way back to concierge for 10 days!!!
