A Very Disney Christmas! Nov/Dec 2010 PTR (Trip Drama & 2 Days! 11/24)

After your experience at BBB, I am going to be sure to double and triple check they got the photos taken properly. I'm sorry that you had to experience this disappointment!

Books: I love books! I have both of the bottom ones too. I have seen the DVD set on Amazon too but I have not ordered it yet. I may one of these days
:thumbsup2

I love Disney books, I think I might have to buy myself a new one this weekend, it's been a while! The last one I bought was the new Passporter in January, so I'd say it's time for a new one!

I have the Complete Walt Disney World book and I love it, I love books with lots of pictures! I think I'll have to get that Color companion to WDW, that looks great! :)

YAY NICE UPDATE!! Thanks to you, I went on Amazon and ordered the DVDs! I hope you enjoyed them! I'm sure you have probably read: The Hidden Magic of WDW. If not, it's a great book! I was a CM and did endless hour tours of MK and AK for my work locations and I still learned things in that book that I didn't know!

I have a couple of versions of the Unofficial Guide and the Complete Guide to Walt Disney World by Julie Neal. I love that one, because like you said, the pictures are great. I saw the Color Companion to the UG at B&N while I was on my Atlanta trip. I came THIS close to buying it that day! :thumbsup2

I haven't seen the DVD set---It looks awesome. I may have to order that. :)

I have the 2009 version of the Complete Guide and LOVE it! I added that DVD set to my Christmas list. ;)

I hope you hear something back from PP!!

Books are my weakness! The Color Companion looks great -- we are headed to Barnes and Noble this weekend...I wonder if they will have a copy there...:rolleyes1

I love the Color Companion. I didn't realize there was one. I only have the Unofficial Guide so I may have to make a trip to the city this weekend.....:rolleyes1

From screen to theme? What is that all about? Looks neat. Is that one newly published? I have a gift card to Barnes and Noble that a student gave me. May take a look! :thumbsup2

I want to join the chorus of the "I'm so sorrys"! :grouphug:I just feel terrible for you. I would be just devastated. I'm going to give you some advice that I'm not sure that I would follow myself: try to focus on the good times and not let yourself think more about this disappointment than you do the fabulous memories you have! Like I said, I'm not sure I could do that if I were you, but I know that's what the ideal reaction would be! :cutie:

If I were you, I would send an email back to them explaining what a special time this was for you and your daughters, and how disappointed you are that you will not be able to have photos of the occasion. Explain that you would consider doing the BBB experience again during your trip in December if you had some confidence that this wouldn't happen again, but that you're not sure that it would be worth the time and expense of doing it again if pictures were just going to be lost. See if that sparks them to offer you at least a discount on another BBB experience. I really think this is the least they could do. Honestly. It's one thing if you lose a picture in front of a castle holding a photoshopped Tinkerbell, but to lose all the pictures of a special event is worth more than just an apology, imo.

Good luck, and again, I'm so terribly sorry about this! What a pain! And what a sad thing to happen. :sad1:

I totally agree with all of this!:thumbsup2

I am so, so sorry that you lost these photos Becky!:sad1: Trust me...I know exactly how you feel. I think you know, but on my kids' first ever trip to WDW in 2007, I left our camera in the rental car at the airport on our way home. Lost everything. Including Katie's first BBB experience. And we did not have a single photopass picture that trip.:sad2:

Yes, it still bothers me when I think of it. However, like you, I was fortunate to be able to return a few months later and redid the whole BBB experience. In the end, it all worked out.

Admittedly, I will never have photos of my kids' first trip to Disney. And that breaks my heart. But fortunately we were in a position to return shortly afterwards. There must be many other families where something similar to this happens but they aren't perhaps able to return until their children are a lot older (if at all). This is what I remind myself whenever I feel sad about it.

I am sure Disney will comp your session in December. And your lucky princess will get to experience the whole thing again!:goodvibes

Mine & my boys 1st trip was in 2007. Since then the computer I had crashed. Luckily I had saved all of them to disc. Until I lost the disc. No where to be found. I only have 4 pics of that trip, a 5 day trip. Saddens me to this day.

I might have to hit our Barnes and Noble this weekend!

You soooo should!!! :goodvibes

I ordered that set of DVDs as well! I can't wait til it gets here!

YAY!!! I can't wait to watch all of them!! :goodvibes

From Screen to Theme is newly published--it came out in February! Here is the link to it on Amazon so you can read about it: http://www.amazon.com/Screen-Theme-Animated-References-Throughout/dp/1608444082/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1276229300&sr=8-1. I've not seen this one at B&N yet, though.

Yes, I did know that, Trish!! How very horrible!! I feel so bad for complaining about a few pictures when you lost ALL of yours. Please forgive me. And I agree--I'm very thankful that we can go back so soon and redo the BBB. That is definitely a plus!! :goodvibes

NICE!!! Was it the 6 pack?!

No it wasn't. It was just 1 dvd, but it was $16, so I am not complaining. When Ben tells me I can't spend any extra $ cause our trip is so soon. But you better believe I will get the 6 pack. I have it posted in my PTR.
