I have been thinking of you as well. I have been around, mostly just lurking about. Sounds like Andrea has taken to being a Mother quite well.. That is wonderful, she has a beautiful little boy, and I'm not just saying that to be nice, he really is a cutey.

I will try and pop in more often,guess i've just been sort of Blah lately.

Anything exciting happening in your life? Sounds like you had a nice trip to San Fran.

Other than San Francisco there hasn't been a lot of excitement. We did one picnic. I am sorry you ave been blah.

Yeah the weather was pretty scary last night. A tornado touched down just outside of town. Don't think there was much damage, but I haven't heard the news yet.

Happy Friday!!! I am excited for today, as a friend (who I haven't been able to hang out with in a long time) and I are going to go check out the new Swiss Chalet restaurant in town.

I am also excited cause yesterday I found out that there's a Cora's opening up in Red Deer soon. That's my favourite place to eat! So yummy.

Just watched the shuttle launch on ustream. I'm such a nerd, it gets to me everytime, and the tears well up! I just find it so awesomely-mind-blowingly-amazing.

Got tons to do today. We head down south on Sunday for the Firefighter Olympics, can you say beach and DLR???!!! So exciting. Then tomorrow I have this thing called the Great Urban Race in San Francisco - it's like the Amazing Race! Teams of 2, but my girlfriend and I are partnering up with 2 other teams. I have butterflies! It's way out of my normal comfort zone.

(the one with the school teacher on it) blew up.....we were new parents & up with our baby, so we watched & I couldn't get a grasp on what we had just seen.....I kept asking Mike if they were gonna ok & they were gonna find them.....etc. I was shook to the core when I came to terms with what I had just witnessed. We saw the grave for the Captain on the flight while at the Punchbowl Cemetery in Hawaii......still very moving.

Your race sounds like a lot of fun.....don't be nervous.....just remember it's supposed to be fun....so lots of smiles & laughter & the rest will just be icing on the cake!!! Good Luck!

I happened to turn on the TV just before the launch and I kept it on for a few minutes but I was praying the whole time. I watched the Challenger when I was in I think 3rd grade and still remember that!!

Any DLR time is good!! My only reason for going down there is DL so I don't ever have the opportunity for just a quick fix lol

I didn't watch the shuttle launch, is it terrible that I didn't even know about it? I don't pay attention to the news as much as I should.
It would have been cool just to have been able to witness it though.

Ah! I just glanced down at my ticker...23 days till I leave for DLR??!?! What in the world happened to all that time? I feel like the last time I looked it said 50+ days!
Wow. I am super excited but kinda sad....it's my last fun thing I have planned for the summer. After this I get serious with my job search.

Jillian.....23 days!!! I wish I could say that......add another 60 days to that!! I really enjoyed our summer trip to DL last year & eventhough we were home by Aug 10th.....the Disney feeling kept me skipping for the rest of the summer!!

23 days is not far at all. Unfortunately we are now going a couple weeks later, so we won't be there at the same time anymore. Oh well, maybe another time. We should try to arrange a time for all of us chatty regulars to meet up there one day.

I am not huge on all the Royal stuff, but it is kinda cool to see them in my home town, wearing the traditional white hats! Also, it kinda looks like Kate has Mickey's all over her shirt!

I don't keep up much with the royals either, but I do hear they are either on their way to Cali or are here now, or something. I guess that's kinda cool. I doubt they are coming anywhere near where I live though. Maybe San Fran would be the closest but that's still 2 hours away!

I just submitted my job application for my first 'grown up' job. It's a merchandising coordinator position with Live Nation. The requirements and stuff sound perfect for me right now, so I thought I would give it a shot! Not going to stress over it though, I really am not expecting anything yet. But it would be nice to get a call back

Ive been reading about their trip across Canada a bit on People.com. I am not huge into tabloids or anything, but I like reading up on celebs a bit from that site. Also it's cool to see how Canada has been portrayed from an American celeb site.

I just found out that Addy's bio mom was assaulted by her boyfriend last night!!! I'm just sick about it. He's the father to Addy's half sister, who's 3. He came home drunk (and he's on probation & no supposed to be doing that), started a fight with her & then while she was laying on the bed with the sleeping 3 yr old......punched her in the face. Luckily the neighbor heard the screaming & called the police. The 3 yr old woke up & was freaking out, as was Addy's mom...........makes me so mad that he did that. He's in jail with no bail, as he had an outstanding warrant from his last county of residence.

I advised her to get legal help in obtaining a restraining order & full custody. She just got cleared with children's services & I'm afraid this will bring them back into the picture.....so sad! She's really straightened out her life, but was having a hard time letting the 3yr old's dad go......now she seems to be looking at things differently.

Would appreciate prayers for her & the 3 yr old!!

Wow, that is just horrible. For both, but especially for the child. I hope she manages to stay away from him. Glad that Addy doesn't have to be around that!
