Yep check out the weekdays they are usually cheaper or maybe just include 1 weekend night so you can be sure to see the fireworks & other shows you want to see.

Sunday night is included in weekends, right?

For entertainment yes. But for hotel rates, often in the offseason they drop Sunday night as most people have to get home for work/school Monday morning.

Andrea,

You should be able to obtain a good rate during that time frame, generally speaking anyway. How close are you wanting to stay to Disneyland? Is breakfast being included very important? And if so, is a continental breakfast acceptable? I believe you posted that a $400.00 budget is mind for a hotel? And for how many people?

Well that's good news!

Now have any of you stayed at the Quality Inn behind Mimi's Cafe? Or heard about it? I found rates of $65 per night there. We will be just using it to sleep.

Yes, normally Sunday is included with the higher weekend rate. That has been my experience and observation. It is not always the case, but normally is typical.

I want to stay with in walking distance if possible. We liked HOJO, but we can only afford it if there are entertainment rates, and those are stressful to wait for. It's just going to be the two of us. Breakfast isn't too important.

Andrea did you read my TR?

Not yet, I will have to do that!

We stayed at that Quality Inn on our first night...and we were not happy. That being said..yikes I can't believe I am saying this but due to our horible experience they have offered us a really good deal for our next trip and I might take it so that I can take the savings to stay at PPH concierge our last night...

I put in your dates, mind you as time passes the rates can drop, typically the closer to one's arrival date, the higher the rates can climb. Especially at peak times of course, such as holidays, spring break, special events and so on. But this gives you an idea as to the money one can save with these properties. The lowest being at @ $44.00 per night. And again, that is for your particular dates, in 2012. I would definitely keep an eye on the rates over time, and when the timing is right for you, book it, wherever it, may be. One can lose out by just one day on a great rate.

Yikes! Maybe not a good idea there? What was so bad about it?

Depends upon where you are staying. If it is on South Harbor near the Woody parking lot, that can be a perfect walking distance. Or a 15 minute walk otherwise to Disneyland.

I don't mind walking to the parks in the mornings, but walking back to the hotel might be tough. If there's a shuttle back to the Days Inn at night, it would be nice.
