My DH and I arranged our own excursion a few years ago. It is a oceanfloor walk wearing the old fashioned type sponge diver helmet. This experience is only offered in Nassau and Bermuda. It is a family business and we found the Hartley's to be professional and welcoming. We had a wonderful experience.
No diving experience is necessary and it is safe for children as young as five years old. My husband used to dive quite a bit and had even been a dive instructor at one time. Although tame for him, he also enjoyed the experience as it is so different. The Hartley's had even tamed a grouper to allow you to touch him and be photographed. This experience made it impossible for me to eat grouper ever since. :teeth:

Web site is www.underseawalk.com

We got a great picture that we used for our Christmas cards that year.

I visited the website and it looks so cool! I wish we had known about it when we cruised last year!

They also offer this in St. Thomas. We were there a month ago and it looked quite awesome!!

:earsboy: Just checked out your recommended web site....Looks Super Fun! Did you find it easier booking your own excursions? Mandy ::MinnieMo

We saw information about this at the tourism bureau in Nassau. I highly recommend stopping there if you want to find something unique to do. The "walk" looked interesting, but we ended up doing horseback riding.

I didn't see an excursion for horseback riding in Nassau - only in Cozumel. Was it something you did on your own???

TIA!

Yes it was easy to book. If you research ahead of time, you have more options for excursions. Disney offers some fun excursions but we like to do our own. The horseback riding option in on line too.
You can get information on:

We like to find interesting things to do on www.frommers.com. We feel safe with their recommendations as they do alot of research and they are reputable. The only drawback is you usually have to supply your own transportation.

I hope this helps - Bon Voyage :goodvibes
