Your dad was so nice to us! He hung around the gift shop while we shopped and then walked out to the beach with us and smiled happily for the camera. I'll get his pictures together soon and put them on here for you to see. He was so gracious to take us over to CBR on his day off. You have a nice dad!

Don't think I haven't thought about selling it, 'cause I have! I end up throwing it in the trashcan at the beginning of the following year. I figure if they didn't get a parent to come and get it at the end of the school year, and they've survived all summer without it, it can be trashed.

Poor little Brooklyn. Ear infections are so painful. Hopefully the medicine will kick in before bedtime and she can sleep some tonight. Nighttime is usually when my kids get sick.
She would have made the party, if there was a party. I took it all down a few minutes ago...sadly. I hope the day we end up doing it will be a beautiful, perfect day for being outside.

Bella and I had a deal. I told her if she waited for me to get back, I'd take her to Disney World in July!
Two weeks from tonight, she'll be home already. We'll be fighting over who gets to hold her.

Wow!!! Brooklyn was a big baby! Hollie was 8 lbs 6 ozs, they were really close!!! Well, I considered that big when all my friends were having 7 lb babies to my 8 pounder!!
Awww, bless Brooklyn's heart!!!! Does she get ear infections a lot? Hollie had about under the age of 2 1/2 and they finally sent her to an ENT specialist. They said if she had 1 more they were gonna put tubes in her ears and guess what..........she didn't have anymore! But, they are so pitiful when they have them!
I can't believe the doctor hasn't sent her for tubes yet. She's had many ear infections. It hasn't impaired her hearing, though, so that's good. Drew had them all the time, and they put tubes in his ears, removed adenoids, and cut away bone inside his nose to stop his troubles. It did work, but he already had some hearing loss due to it. I guess that's why the last incident didn't bother him as much as it would have one of us, because he already couldn't hear very well.
I send some pixie dust for Brooklynn to get better really fast so she can enjoy the Disney Party....
moparop April 7th is my DD Lexi's bday too. I guess I can assume there's cake in your near future.
My DS Aaron's bday is on April 2. I will be all 'caked' out in the next two weeks.

It suddenly dawned on me yesterday that although my hubby and I had talked about what we were going to do to celebrate Liam's birthday, I had actually done nothing to prepare. OOPS! Thankfully, everything has fallen into place, even at this fairly late stage. For some reason, I have a much harder time being on the ball for Liam's April bday than I do for his older brother's August birthday. I fear the new baby has no hope! Poor kiddo!
I'm taking the cake down there and we'll have a mini party with Mommy, Daddy, Ben, and assorted plush Disney characters.

When I was taking pictures on the plane, I noticed how dirty the window in front of me was, but on the ME bus, I was too happy to notice if it was dirty.

I believe that Eeyore (I have many) came in a little gift set that Jill bought for me many years back. Check Kohl's sometime, because they have had some Disney ones before. I have a Mickey and Minnie that are a bit larger than that.
Brooklynnsmommy - glad to hear you can go to your moms. I hope Brooklynn is feeling much better by then. I just took Anna to the doctors this morning because of an earache. She has an infection and is on medicine.

We're all sort of bummed about postponing, but I just didn't want Jill on the road that long in stormy weather, and I didn't want any of the others from this area to take a chance on having a wreck getting here just for this. It's not like it's a birthday, so we'll do it in a few more weeks.
I hope they will both get a good long night's sleep, since they don't have to get up early in the morning now to come here.

Morning MeMom. I too am ready for Friday and this weekend. Caleb has been sick this weekend and I want to rest but that most likely won't happen. Tommorow am we have Calebs 6 mos pictures and then my mom and I are going to work on making invitations for my friends bridal shower and then tommorow night we are going to the high school musical bc my cousin is in it. And sunday I have twin cousins who are graduating from college and my aunt is having a graduation party for them. So probably no chance to relax this weekend.
I love toddler conversations. My newphew told my mom yesterday morning when he called her to wish her happy birthday " I can't wish you happy birthday right now Maw-Maw bc I am on my way to Step 2" Where my brother lives there is a step 2 store near them that on one morning a week you can take your kids in there to play. And my newphew has been on a kick where he can't talk right now...tooo busy...i call you later.

We still would have done it if it had only been a rain forecast, but Lelan was saying severe thunderstorms with possible tornadic (that is a word, right?) activity, as of this morning, so we just had to make a call so everyone could plan other things, if they wanted to. If it turns out to be pretty, I'll be sorry, but I just did what I thought I needed to do at the moment.
Can you prepare any of the food and then freeze it?? That's a lot of food $$, hate to see it go to waste. Although, you do have growing boys at your house, so I'm sure that it would get eaten!!! Are you right on the border of Tennesee? So, how long does it take you to get to Alabama? Have a safe trip!
The canned drinks should be fine and the jars of spinach dip and cheese dip. The ham and turkey will go in the freezer, but it and all of the bread will be eaten long before we have the party. These two boys and their friends will see to that!
I'm on the north side of Nashville, closer to KY, but TN is a skinny state, so it doesn't take long to get to Huntsville.
I know declansdad would tell you to box the cake and send it up north but...
Report card time here too. I just finished entering my marks and interviews are April 8th and 9th. Our kids will have an extra long Easter break this year. Lucky ducks!
Hope all is well with Brooklynn and Jill and Bella. We have chicken pox and strep passing around here.
Does he want a piece with lots of frosting or just a little frosting? I'm not a frosting person. I scrape mine off and just leave a hint of frosting on the cake.
We've had strep at school, but I haven't heard anything about chckenpox. When the kids were little, I made them chickenpox cakes when they had spotted faces.
Aww, sorry to hear that you're going to have to cancel your safari. That stinks, but maybe it's for the best. I am sure Brooklynn and Jill will appreciate your driving down to visit them, though. Especially since you'll be bringing a Mickey cake!
I sure hope Brooklynn is feeling better now. Poor thing! I used to get ear infections constantly as a kid, so I know how awful they can be.

Jill's work is very good about letting her stay as long as she feels up to it, but when she gets tired and they are covered, they're fine with her going on home. They're trying to get her to move to the office when she comes back, but she's weighing the pros and cons of that, after the workload she carried at the other place.
