A turkey question

we only bake a turkey on thanksgiving
the rest of the year we drop it in the Fryer

its a typical game day snack...as the boys like to play with fire when watching football

We do it every couple of months. We also cook breasts and tenderloins on occasion. DH likes to cook, and we work pretty well in the kitchen together, so we don't mind making a big meal.

Gotta love the turkey! We tend to have turkey breasts throughout the year and a whole bird on holidays. We roast, we fry and we smoke them- we have 4 breasts and a small turkey in the smoker as I type (hickory). Our friends and co-workers love them and I let them know a few days ahead to make sure they want it and have room for it (they freeze pretty well).

Leftover turkey that we have frozen I generally use for enchiladas, Pepperidge farm casseroles, etc. rather than straight up turkey. I hope to load up the freezer with several with the sales going on now...off to check the smoker!

Once or twice, maybe. I'm usually not in the mood to cook all that. =)
