Well...I decided to try and keep this up. I don't know how far I'll get, as I will probably run out of ideas, but we shall see! I may have enough Disney inspiration to continue this each day until my trip. (And maybe I'll get some inspiration from others)

yeah, they must be scared to roam around down there in south miami. I have some friends that still live down there. I guess I never noticed that the love bugs weren't around in south miami when i was growing up.

12 loads of laundry
11 days of packing
10 hours of DISing
9 days of walking
8 days of working
7 chances to win the castle
6 days of free dining
5 cups of coffee!!!
4 full suitcases
3 days of shopping
2 puppy kisses
and 1 night of no sleep (I’m too EXCITED to sleep!)

This is REALLY cute!!!!

Speaking of getting ready . . . I THINK I'm almost there! I leave on Sunday. Today I got all of my clothes together, and MOST of my toiletries. So I'm MOSTLY done. Now I just have to put the finishing touches on the house. When going on a trip I HAVE to leave the house straight!

Are we there yet?!!!!!

I understand what you mean about having the house straight. I've been doing the same thing---and isn't Disney SUCH a GREAT motivation for cleaning?! (We moved in back in February and still don't have everything straight...doesn't help that we just built a garage and are still putting shingles on the roof! But that doesn't stop us from goin to our favorite place!)

I'm glad the DIS is up and running again. I have 2 special posts coming up. Hmm...which to do first?

I'm the same way about having to leave my house clean before we leave on vacation. I HATE coming home to a dirty house. You are so close to your vacation!! How exciting

I have a question….if we want a King-sized bed (instead of 2 queen/full beds), is it better to call the resort(All star Sports) to request it, or should we call Disney Reservations and add the request there? I’m not positive, but I recall reading that it’s better to call Disney Reservations and request it, and then a few days before your arrival to call the Resort and make sure it is noted in their system.

Last year we happened to end up with a King-sized bed at the All Star Music, but we hadn’t requested it. I also thought I read that the rooms with the King-sized beds were all handicapped rooms…which means the bathroom is bigger and you lose room space. But I don’t recall last year’s room being a handicapped room. Can anyone confirm whether they have non-handicapped rooms with King sized beds in the All Star Sports? And also whether I should call the resort or Disney Reservations?

I sure hope not! Mike didn't get to see it last year, and though I've seen it a million times (okay...more like 9) I really want him to see it. Well...at least there's Mickey's Philharmagic!

I think calling the reservations hotline and requesting the king size bed there is the best way to do it. DH and I didn't request anything special since POP is booked and I read that all the King rooms are handicap. I don't want to take a room I don't need just for the bed when someone else really needs the bathroom. I don't think all the King rooms in all star sports are handicap though. My Grandmother and I shared a King size bed room once there and I don't remember that being handicap. Sorry I can't be of more help there.

as for honey I shrunk the audiance...I can't believe ANOTHER attraction might be closed while we're there!!! That's sooooo unfair!!! I so hope it's not closed. I love that show!

Wow that sucks about HISTA. Although if you ask me, HISTA is really dated. Because seriously, how many kids have seen Honey I Shrunk the Kids? I know it's a classic and all, but I don't know, it just doesn't appeal to me. I don't know if DH would like it much either.

I'm put out about Spaceship Earth. That was closed another time we were there one year. Poo.

Rockin' Roller Coaster is just OK. DH doesn't like Aerosmith anyway.

If TOT were closed, I just might actually reschedule the trip. Because DH is a big Twilight Zone fan, and I know this will easily become his favorite ride.

Sucks about HISTA, but I agree witht TheLastPrincess on it being dated. I'm actually surprised it's still there after all these years. I wonder if they'll ever do a new one. Can you imagine an Incredibles 3D attraction? That would be pretty cool.

Definitely call reservations and do you have access to a fax machine/.

You can fax it to....2 days before you leave...get the fax number for resort...put your and dh names, arrival date, reservation number and attention to Room Assignor.

Now, I kknow a lot people say they don't take them anymore, but they do...

They have people designated to assign rooms and when they get these faxes in, they go into a special folder and every day they are pulled out and the relevant for that day are loooked, so they can try and meet your request.

We did that last year and got exactly what we wanted at all star Movies

yeah HISTA is dated...especially when there are other 3D movies (Tough to be a Bug and Mickey's Philharmagic being the newest) but I get a kick out of that snake! I just would like DH to see it once. I think he would appreciate seeing it just the one time.

I hope they do offer another chance....because I just don't see us making the decision now. Even if we did, my parents wouldn't make their decision this early...and I would want them to be able to get it later if they decided to go. I don't want to go in mid-summer again....but that's probably when they'll want to go since my sister is in college now. ugh!

I can probably do that. But I will call first. I think I will call tonight, and ask about the King Bed situation...first I'll find out if they have any non-handicapped rooms with King Sized beds. And if they do, I'll request one.

Sleeping in a queen bed wouldn't bother me at all, but the fact there would be 2 of them in the room would just be strange. Plus, Mike really wants the King bed. (that's what we have at home, afterall. It's difficult going from a King bed to sleeping in a smaller bed somewhere...believe me)
