oh trust me, they'll be there. But they won't bother you in the park. Just get caked onto the front of your car. i lived in south florida till i was 12 years old and everytime we went anywhere when it was love bug season our car was just covered in them!

Hello everyone! I had a good time bowling last night, although I was TERRIBLE! But all that matters is we had a good time.

I got my gift cards today!! woohoo! Since I just cashed out for the last one it should arrive sometime this coming week. And I'll be equipped with $125.00 to spend on alcohol! haha Just kidding...it won't ALL go to alcohol.

I'll be arriving at Disney in exactly 2 WEEKS from today!!!

A banana for each day!!!

I also received an email today from Priceline, and it says our tickets are Electronic, so I was right and we'll be picking them up at the check-in desk at the airport!

I'm SO ready for this trip!! I'm trying to get all my laundry done...slowly but surely but I'm not hanging them like this little guy. hehe

Ok, what else, what else. Ummm...I'm ready!!!!!!!!!!!

I hope you have fun on the boat. Did I mention Mike works on Saturdays, Sundays, and Mondays for 12 hour days? I probably didn't. So yeah I'm sitting at home...that's why I look forward to vacation so much! We only have 1 or 2 days a month when we're off together. And usually we end up doing some type of work on the house. I am usually pretty lonely on the weekends.

I saw on here....UK has free dining offer already....for next year..isn't that strange....how early it is?? I think it said August 10th- Sept 22nd... So, maybe that is a hint at what ours will be if we have it

They are called Love Bugs...& they are a Creation of The University of Florida..another Reason to be a Gator Hater!!!! They were supposed to wipe out Mosquitoes..But instead they Just created a Bug that reproduces constantly!!!!! Hence the Love Bug Name....& they are big during this time of year....

thanks for posting this!!!!!!! Where on earth did you find the info!!!??? When you book, is it like booking online where you only have to put the deposit down and you can pay it off gradually? Or do you have to pay in full because you are getting the free dining???? I've GOT to find out because if we can just put a deposit down we are SO going to book while we're down there!!! I can NOT let this deal pass us by!!!!

Mike goes in at 5 AM, but he can usually stay awake until 10, so I usually go to bed with him, and if I can't seem to sleep then I will get up and come to the computer or watch TV in another room.

Money, money, money!

I just cashed out for another $25.00 Disney Gift Card at SR!! When I first joined I thought “well I guess I can try to make $25.00 before my trip” and never did I think I’d be bringing $125.00 in Disney money on my trip!

We’re having issues with the postal service, though, and I’m pretty ticked off about that. For some reason we haven’t gotten mail in 3 days! I am waiting for my other 2 gift cards to arrive…and I’m very anxious!

I spoke with my Dad last night, and I asked him about “stories” from past trips that I could tell. (I already told him about DISboards….and he actually DOESN’T think I’m crazy) I told him all the ones I had written about, and that I know there are probably more things, especially in the past, but I can’t think of them. First he said “well, we didn’t bring any old people last year, that’s the problem.” He thought of something from a long time ago---he told me that once upon a time…when I “wasn’t around,” he and my uncle (mom’s brother who was 16 at the time) were riding golf carts around WDW property. Well, my Uncle was a daredevil, and enjoyed trying to ride up the “slanted walls”--as my Dad described them. As he was doing this over and over, he ended up crashing the cart and dinged it all up. Dad said that the next year the price of renting the carts went up from 15.00 to about 50.00! LOL (not sure how accurate those amounts are but that’s what he said)

I can rustle some more stories up in the coming weeks (only just over 2 weeks left!)….stay tuned for those!

In the meantime, I am getting a little anxious, and starting to worry about having all my ducks in a row for this trip. I have a shopping list, which I probably need to get working on this weekend, and a to-do list, which I ALSO need to get started on. But I am worried I may be leaving some things out that I really need to be thinking about.
Okay, some questions:
1. I added my flight info to my reservation through Disneyworld.com. I already received my ME passes before I booked the flight. I just wondered if there’s anything else I need to do to be sure our ME ride is scheduled?
2. How do I access my printable flight tickets? (I ordered through Priceline.com) Will they send me something through email? (sorry, I’m a doofus and not experienced at flying)
3. I guess I should call to verify my reservation? Should I call the resort itself? (I’m assuming this would be a good idea)
4. Is there anything else I need to be doing to assure my vacation runs smoothly?

I called Disney this afternoon to check on our reservation details and flight information. They had it all in their system, and we are good to go! And I just realized I only have 8 more WORKING days until my trip!
That's 3 next week (I'm off Labor Day and Friday) and then a full week before my trip.

OMG I never heard that before! I never heard of love bugs before I started coming to the DIS, but I never imagined that they were man-made.

I found the info on welcome forum on here.

I verified it is true as my friend is down there right now at Polynesian and she got paper about it in her checkout papers...

I would guess, just the deposit is due now.l.....they couldn't expect people to be able to put out like 2 or 3 grand with no notice, right??
