A trip to WDW w/NO kids? Hubba Hubba! Wink Wink! UPDATE: EXTRA, EXTRA!!! Pg 158

Hey congrats about the flight!!!!!!

Our flight leaves at 7:05 AM, which means we'll be arriving around 9:30, and getting to our resort LATE MORNING.....!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Of course, this also means, we have to leave for the airport AT THE LATEST by 5 AM, since the airport we're flying out of is an hour away. The "other" airport, the one that is 15 minutes away, is one of the costliest in the country. $400 per ticket. :faint:

But we got our tickets for $200 each. Not GREAT, but it sure beats $400, even if it does cost us an extra 45-minute drive.

Are you using Magical Express?

Congrats on getting the flights booked! I think we were all sweating it more than you!!!

My flight takes off @ 8:20 tomorrow which means waking by 4, limo arrives here @ 5, and sitting around the airport for 2 hours.

Coming home I wish I could have gotten a later flight (we leave MCO @ 12:30) but the kids have school (first day back) on Tuesday so we want early bed Sunday and Monday.

I'd love a flight like yours though...7:50 sounds great!

Cool on you booking your flights. But you have me confused. If your plane leaves at 7:50 pm...you definitely have to leave the resort before 6 pm! :confused3

f

:thumbsup2 I only live about 25 - 30 min away from the Atl airport. :thumbsup2

:lmao:

hahaha that's like when I was about to announce our DIS meet. She already had it figured out before I even posted it!

Nothing Gets Past Sharky!!:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

congrat's on bookinf flight's!!! how long are you staying at all star? thank's
kathy

thank you! staying til the 21st....I'm just so excited we get almost that whole day at Disney!

:woohoo: :woohoo: WTG!!! on your flight!!!!!!:yay: :thumbsup2

I was getting worried there for a while!

Hehe Thanks!! :thumbsup2

first of all, goodmorning everyone. If there's even anyone else awake on here besides me.

Thank Gawd!

um...yes!!

YES I'M SURE....SPILL IT!!!

Grrrr!! Do I need to spell it out in big sky writing!? YES I'M READY!!! :surfweb:

:yay:

WOOOOOHOOOOOOO!!!

That's so awesome that you're arriving @ WDW with enough time to enjoy some sights!! How cool!!

and :rotfl: on the explination of the am/pm thing.

great great greatness!! That sucks that Mike has to work the morning after you get home but that's good that he doesn't mind. I don't think I could work right after getting home...hence why we are coming back Saturday instead of Sunday. But, more power to him. You gotta do what you gotta do to get some Disney awesomeness in your life.

sounds like ya'll got a really good price too. See everyone? Waiting till the last min doesn't always mean you have to pay an arm and a leg.

that's also great that you got a straight flight from La to Fl...totally cool! The layover in atlanta shouldn't be too bad...as long as there's not a bad storm rollin' through I can't imagine why you'd be delayed. At least by that time you'll know that if you ever have any other lay overs in Atlanta you'll have someone to call and hang with! :thumbsup2 I only live about 25 - 30 min away from the Atl airport. :thumbsup2

anyways, lookin' forward to seeing the updated itenerary. and :yay: I'll be added!! I'm not gonna update mine just yet because i'm still waiting for my other plans to pan out. :headache: I wish we could hurry up and get an answer one way or another on this one thing. Hopefully by this weekend we'll know something.

Oh yeah! And I'm also glad to hear that Priceline worked out good for ya'll. Gotta love those $$$ saving web sites! :goodvibes Your welcome on the tips I gave ya while you were still making a decision. I hope I was able to help in some way.

:lmao:

hahaha that's like when I was about to announce our DIS meet. She already had it figured out before I even posted it!

Hope your Red Cross guy shows up today. Have fun Defibulating ppl :lmao: It doesn't seem like it was two weeks about that that guy didin't show up. I guess time is just flying by now! which is awesome.

You're so funny, girl! Can't wait to see your other plans if they pan out!

Ok so if I get delayed, I know where I'm sleeping that night...:rotfl2:

And if there IS a storm threatening the Louisiana area, my behind is staying right where it belongs...at Disney!

It was a lady today, she's his LEAD, she promised SHE would come out this time since he failed to show up last time. And we found what happened...out he took some cold medicine and didn't wake up til 11 AM. LAME!!!!

Anywho, I'm officially re-certified! (I took the class 2 years ago but just CPR not AEDs)

Oh that's SO AWESOME! I am just happy to be there before 2....hehe. With our other one-way option we would not have gotten there til after 6 PM! I don't think I could have been able to stand hanging around all day waiting to go to the airport and get to Disney. LOL

$400! I can see why you are not flying out of there...what airport is that?
5 AM is not so bad. I'll probably be up that early because I will be too excited to sleep! We will leave our house by no later than 7 PM, drive to my parents house (30 min from us and they are about 20 min from the airport), drop off my car, maybe grab a cup of coffee, and my Dad will drop us off at the airport by 8:30 so I don't have to leave my car there. We'll probably sit around for a while...believe it or not, the New Orleans airport is pretty quiet in the morning.

Of course we're using ME! I am so excited about that! :thumbsup2

Cool on you booking your flights. But you have me confused. If your plane leaves at 7:50 pm...you definitely have to leave the resort before 6 pm! :confused3

Yeah, I said before 6..hehe.. I thought I read that the bus picks you up about 2 hours before your flight (I expected it to be sooner, but that's what I read) Anywho, we still have the latest flight that we can get! :thumbsup2

(P.S. had to delete some smilies again)

Thanks, I try :thumbsup2  I'm keeping my fingers crossed in hopes that those plans work out too.

:rotfl: I'll still be in disney on the 21st silly!! if ever you do get delayed in ATL you know who to call :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

I wouldn't blame you on staying in Disney if there is a storm threatening La! I would too!

that's good that you got your re-cert! Also good that the lady showed up today and didn't try to re-send that lame-o-excuse guy! sheesh! some people just don't give a rats patooty about their jobs! Where's the work ethic these days!?:confused3

stupid smiley police popping up again. that is getting annoying!

If you are using Disney's Magical Express, your bus is scheduled for 3 hours before you scheduled departure. Therefore, your bus should be for 4:50 pm-ish. Plus they want you at the bus stop approximately 15 minutes earlier than that just in case. So plan on 4:30 pm!

Oops helps if you google Bathtub...& Not bathtubs!!!!

Now the 12th pic in Bathtub...I could have gone all my life without seeing that Pic!!!!

I googled it both ways, and also used yahoo to check out the images. both times nothing was bad.

Am I missing something the google image was a lady in a towel next to the tub.

Is the picture you guys are talking about still up there?

Lesley

Ok, I’m ready to spill the beans now!

READY?

Are you SURE?

I mean are you TRULY ready for what I’m about to say?

Well OKAY…

I BOOKED OUR FLIGHT!! :dance3:

And the coolest part is that we’re going to arrive at the Orlando airport at….

12:50 PM!! :woohoo: (This is the one that comes during the day for you am/pm challenged people…hehehe)

So that means we should be at our resort by 2 PM Orlando time! We’ll drop our carry-on bags off (assuming our room is not ready early by some miracle) and probably eat something. And we may even visit one of the parks…who knows! Now I have half a day to plan! Yes, I WILL plan it! (to an extent) I’ll let y’all know what we decide to do!

First, here’s our detailed flight info:
FLYING DELTA
-Direct flight :thumbsup2 to MCO (Orlando Airport) which leaves MSY (New Orleans Airport) at 9:55 AM---so we don’t even have to wake up at the crack of dawn! Arriving at MCO at 12:50 PM
And here’s the other cool part….
-Returning flight leaves MCO at 7:50 PM! :yay: So we don’t have to leave WDW property til almost 6 PM! :yay: How cool is that?!
-We do have an hour layover in Atlanta (arrive in New Orleans at 11:02 PM), but I’m hoping that we won’t get delayed there. I’m just really glad that we have a direct flight going TO DISNEY. Mike works the next morning after coming home, but he said this was fine with him. I guess he really likes Disney just as much as I do and doesn’t want to show it! After all, he IS the one that had the idea of going after I told him about free dining! Ahhhh
Just for that I will be nice and let him sleep on the plane/car ride home.

Well now that you know the itinerary….just how much did it cost for me to work out an extra umpteen hours at Disney? $160.00 ea. roundtrip…including tax! Not bad if I don’t say so myself. (The cheapest ticket we could’ve gotten with a direct flight to Disney would have been $148.00 and we would have gotten there after 6 PM on arrival day and had to depart at 8:30 AM on our last day! Now that I think about it, we would have had to wake up earlier than on our park days!)
A lot of people kept saying to fly Southwest but it would have cost us $160.00 per ticket BEFORE taxes and fees. Also was told to try Airtran…they had late flights flying in (and early going back) at the cheapest rate which still would have worked out around the same price as what we got with Delta (through Priceline BTW).

So I’m actually pretty happy we waited to book! :thumbsup2 Even though it made me nervous! I am just so excited that we get the MAXIMUM possible time in WDW! :woohoo:

Are y’all breathing a sigh of relief? I know you are! I know I AM! Well I’m actually breathing deeply from the excitement…but….LOL :lmao:

WOOHOOO!!! :woohoo:

Thanks for everyone who gave flight tips when I was still deciding what to do!

Up next….Updated Itinerary with 1st and last day’s changes (and the meeting time with Leger13 added in)

I am confuzzled....Isn't Disney only like a 7 hr drive from Georgia??

Since it is so close, are they flying on puddle jumpers??

I didn't see any mention of karen and the girls flying to Disney on your thread??:confused3

You are one tricky girl!!

I asked you on another thread, if your update was, that you booked your flight and you said no, that is Friday:sad2:

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

You are Pure Evil:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Darn You could have saved $90 bucks with My Flight Plan....But Bubba was on the edge about it any way so I guess Ya Did Good Kid!!!!
