We just came back from a week tour of DVC resorts so I wanted to give you a short trip report. We left from NH on 4/18 driving and arrived in WDW on 4/18. I had made a last minute reservation at AKV for a savannah view studio. The resort was nice but the hallways seems to go on forever. I think we are so used to the SSR ease of getting to your room. Our room had a great view but it felt very closed in and dark. I'm sure this is a theming issue but I wanted something a bit more bright.
On Sunday, we moved to SSR to a 1-bedroom. We checked-in early but still had a garden/parking lot view in Congress Park. Oh well, we were just glad to be there. My DD and I had the mother/daughter spa package in the afternoon which was WOW! The resort looked to be very full. We didn't have problem with buses at all except for having to do alot of standing on the way back from the parks at night. We did the DDP but won't be again because we just ate way to much. We had the best time in Epcot with the Flower Power concerts! The house cleaning at SSR was also fine, I made the mistake of looking behind the night stand and wished I wouldn't have but I don't clean behind my night stand at home everyday either.
We started for home on Friday afternoon after eating a great lunch at Wolfgang Puck's for lunch. We reached the GA border and we were already tired. I called Member Services to see if they had anything available in HH for the night. We booked a 1-bedroom and checked in around 6pm. We woke up the next day and decided we would stay an extra day and drive straight through on Sunday. This was a great way to end our DVC vacation. The pull-out couch at HH was horrible and my DD refuses to stay in anything less than a 2 bedroom again. She ended up sleeping on the floor on top of blankets instead. All in all a great vacation.
