A Touch of Disney 2021 Experience - Superthread - Read First Post for Updates - Updated with Full Menus

They were giving prizes out. We got a bullseye, Eve, wally and one of Jessie critter friends. Only played 3 of the games.
PanchoX1, do you mind sharing what time you played the games? Was it right at opening? Later into the evening? My girls would love to get to play!

Yeah, no. Opening day the games weren’t even open at 2pm when we went by. And not a single prize anywhere in the park the whole day. That didn’t happen.

This confuses me since I believe Pancho was also there opening day (Pancho, please correct me if my memory failed on this!) and Pancho says games were open and got prizes. I've also seen from a couple places that the games were open opening day (but they didn't mention the prizes; Inside the Magic being one of those places that mentioned it). There are pictures of people playing them. Nothing about what time they were open, though.

I'm wondering if they either were open earlier or later or took a break at some point? Seems they were closed at least during the time you tried to go see them :(.

it may have been around 2:00-2:30. not super sure. We got in the gate just after one., had food at smoke jumpers and then strolled through the park till we got there. so maybe even as late as 3:00

yes, we were there on the 18th.

Mini Report from yesterday (3/21). Sorry if it doesn't seem too comprehensive, been so busy today so I'm just going off of what I remember yesterday.
- I got to M&F around 11:12am. I've been following vloggers and they always seem to show the structure open at that time. I got there and it was open, and they had us sit until 11:30am.
- Sidenote: while waiting in the structure, I saw on ig that people already inside they were allowed to line up at 10:45. Then let in around 11ish.
- You can rent strollers and wheel chairs at the parking structure. That is where you do security and the health check
- The tram route took about 10-15 minutes? I never realized how long that pathway was lol While walking on the pathway I put in a mobile order for Monte Cristo sandwich at Smokejumpers.
- Once I got to the line area the lines were going pretty quick. Each line had maybe 10 parties in each of them. I was in the gates a little after 12. No long waits, so they seem to have gotten the lines under control.
- Mobile ordering is the way to go. If you don't mobile order, you can also pay at the marketplace cashiers. There were a few booths that stopped mobile and marketplace orders b/c they got backed up. Golden Dreams was one of them (has the wings and strawberry rose lemonade)
- You can use dining cards at Lamplight Lounge and Carthay, just not on alcohol
- I didn't see any prizes given out at the games, but the games are free. The lines move really slow mainly b/c they have to clean between each group.
- Legacy Passholder area is open from 12-6pm.
-Characters: I saw Goofy, Max, Minnie, and Mickey, Lightning McQueen. I looked for Donald but didn't see him. I saw Miguel but didn't grab a picture.
- Photopass: I saw photographers on the pier, entrance by the trolly, Hollywood Blvd, and by the Walt statue.
- Lobster Nachos were delicious.

I stayed pretty much all day. I left around 6:45 because I got cold. I wanted to stay when it was dark to see the pier lit up. Make sure to pace yourself with all the food.

We went yesterday (Monday 3/22). We entered on Harbor side, visited the Star Wars store and WoD, then went to the esplanade just after 11:00 a.m. Shortly thereafter the CMs started holding folks in a line on the DTD side. They moved that line into the esplanade lines after the gates opened around 11:20-11:25. They only have so many distancing markers on the esplanade and apparently they didn't want lines going further than those.

We started mobile ordering while we were waiting in the esplanade. We were able to stack/stagger mobile orders, which worked pretty well. We didn't want to do too much before we got into the park, though, because we wanted to spend the $25 card. We were able to use the card on mobile ordering (and to split a purchase between the last few dollars on a card and a credit card).

Plenty of tables. Only one time did we have to walk any great distance to set our food down and eat. Mask compliance generally was very good. Saw only a couple of people the whole day who were trying to eat or drink while walking.

We really enjoyed Chip & Dale. We also saw Mickey, Minnie, Daisy, Pluto, Goofy & Max, Donald, Joy, Sadness, Lightning McQueen, and Mater.

Games were open, no prizes. But we don't want the prizes anyway and usually won't pay to play, so it was a nice chance for us to try out a few games.

Photopass is marked on the map, but there were also some photographers randomly in spots. If you see one in an unmarked spot, be aware that they might not be there later. We got Photopass pictures by the Walt & Mickey statue, in Hollywood Land, in the middle of Cars Land, at the Cars Land billboard, on the bridge to Pixar Pier, and by the plane in the Grizzly Peak area near Grand Californian. We missed out on a photographer at the trolley in the front of the park. There is a Legacy Passholder picture spot (no Photopass photographer) in the Pixar pier area, where you also get your Legacy magnet and pin, a Disney Visa photo opportunity (with photographer) by the entrance to Grizzly River Rapids (2-5 p.m.), and a WandaVision set (no photographer) in Hollywood Land. There also are a couple of D23 photo backdrops.

We have a few Touch of Disney maps that we picked up on our way out of the park. I'll mail them out to the first folks to send me a private message with their address. [2 maps left!]

For those who have been, were you able to load your gift to the app for mobile ordering? I would love to mobile order using the gift card. Thanks! We are going tomorrow for hubby's bday.

Can someone briefly explain how ordering at the kiosks works? I understand that you can order lots of items from different locations and then pick them up later. But do you need to pick times for your pick ups like mobile order? Or do you just show up? Are those lines different/longer/shorter than the other lines?

Sounds like how they do for Food+Wine or some modification of it. Marketplace for all-in-one ordering option.

question is at the places - two lines still? ordering and/or receipt and pickup line? The question I have is with receipt, can you go directly to the pickup line? Hope so!

Yes when you pick up your food there are 2 lines. One for mobile ordering. The other for market place pick up, which you show your receipt

We didn’t load it (in the sense of it remembering the number) but we were able to choose Disney Gift Card as an option to pay with for mobile ordering and then type the number in.
