A Totally Different Kind Of Report

LOL you mad this Black woman look twice. Must admit I got closer to the computer to take a second look....lol:rotfl:
Enjoyed your reviews

LOL that you had to have a second look. I'm still looking and going, "no way did I gesture like that!"

Thanks for following my story!

love the pic, have no idea who the guy is but still very funny. I had a chuckle.

Did you get on soarin' in the end?

Like the sound of those 4 dips, I am a big dip fan, bread and dips is ordered when ever it is on the menu, then I am too full for the next course which doesn't of course stop me from eating it.

thanks for a great trip report.

We did finally get on Soarin' :yay: but we had to sacrifice the fireworks show to do so. :sad1: Fortunately, we've seen it several times, so we were okay with that choice. This time. Love Soarin'!

Tweety, please tell me your secret. How in the world do you eat and drink all that stuff and still remain a nice size? I gained ten pounds just reading all this. :rotfl:

I love your enthusiasm for life.

Briarmom, thank you so very much for your tutorial on quoting. It has added to my vast storehouse of knowledge. I like to learn new things and I am an 'old dog'.

You are very welcome.
And may I congratulate you on your weight loss! :worship: I need to decide to do some of that myself.

It's a big flaw, though. Are you ready for this? He doesn't like anything on bones! :scared1: This one flaw does bother me on occasion, as I was brought up knowing that all meat is better on a bone! :thumbsup2 Gnawing on a chicken wing or baby-back rib is a true joy. The messier the better. Right? Anyone else with me on this?

I'm with you sister!

Briarmom, thank you for the kind words. I have worked awfully hard to lose this amount of weight and even harder to keep it off. I have probably lost closer to 600 pounds as I had to lose some of those pounds over and over again. It has taken nearly 4 years. I am still fat but not so much that Barnum and Bailey are sending me applications anymore.:rotfl:

I am envious of your upcoming trip. Please write a TR for those of us who can only dream?

That's very kind of you to say...The last few years have been South Beach Diet and Weight Watchers. Most of the time I'm pretty good, but when I play, I like to play hard. :cool1:

It certainly is one of a kind, huh? After I left Pepper Market that night, giddy, I practically skipped all the way back to our room in Casita 5. Told my husband, excitedly about my encounter with Collin Raye, handed him the camera and asked if he could get the pictures off right away, so I could see them. He downloaded them into his laptop, and I heard: "Uh...WHAT were you doing with your hand?" I said, what do you mean? And he showed me. :scared1:

I'm with you sister!

Amen! :thumbsup2

That's something to be really proud of SlightlyGoofy...keep up the good work!:yay::yay:

Tweety, thanks for the kind words. I admire those of you who work hard to keep the weight off. It is those skinny folk who eat Little Debbie cakes by the box and lose that irritate the heck out of me. My best friend is like that. :rotfl2:

I do South Beach and also count WW points, it is second nature to me by now. Going to make myself a SB pizza for dinner.

I know what you mean...my mom and sister eat tons and never gain an ounce...not fair! :confused3

Here we go with all three things I promised...the funny celeb-encounter picture, the best food deal in Orlando, and the best drink in the Orlando airport!

So, before we went to Orlando, I saw that one of my favorite country-music artist's, Collin Raye was going to be there. Having used some of his music in the past to make montages for my station's radiothon for our children's hospital, I decided to make a cd of one I had done with one of Collin's songs (Love Remains) years before, just in case I ran into him.

So, the first night of our event, I'm enjoying Julianne Hough's music...come out of the show and my cellphone rings. It's a co-worker who says: "Guess who I just had dinner next to?" ..."Collin Raye". Oh my gosh, HOLD HIM there, I will be right there. YES. Collin Raye is in Pepper Market! And I'm right around the corner, coming out of the Coronado Ballroom. I FLY to Pepper Market. (in the out, past CM's who say..."um excuse me, but you're going..."...I say, "don't worry, I'm not eating, I'm just looking for someone"...in,I fly and there he is...Collin Raye! He is so gracious and he puts up with me clinging to him. I give him the CD. I can't find my business cards. Anyway...here's a "normal" stupid fan picture:

You lucky girl!!! I LOVE Colin Raye and probably would not have been able to utter a single word...

Tweety, my momma done told me that life is not fair. She were right too! :rotfl:Hubby, who is so lazy that if the remote breaks he cannot reach over the 18 inches to turn the TV by hand, eats non stop.

I am glad you got to meet your heart throb. That was a vacation you will never forget and you have the pictures to prove it too!

I had the opposite problem. I was a blubbering idiot. Couldn't stop talking. And with my hands too. :rolleyes1 At one point I even told the poor guy he smelled good. (he did, though)

It was an incredible trip for all kinds of reasons. Thanks for re-visiting it with me!

Tweety, I turn into a blithering idiot when I get nervous as well. I often consider some of my chance meets with fellow DISers where I could have made a better impression. :cool1:

Vacations are just memories stored up for when you are not longer able to go places. Stockpile them and enjoy them far in the future. The best vacation pictures are those that are kept in your heart.

I was pretty intent on my artistry when I heard: "How did you get your potato open?" Followed by (different voice): "Yeah, how did you do that?" I realized that the person across from me in the buffet line, as well as the person behind me, were both talking to me. They were waiting, with baited breathe for the answer. I saw they each had an unopened potato on their plate and were wondering how to add all the toppings. This was my moment to divulge my profound secret, so I obliged, glad to finally be able to share some of my extensive food wisdom: "Uh, I squeezed it open". I answered. "You know...with my hand here..." Oh, wow, thanks! was the reply I got. PHEW! I was a hero to two people that night. I'm so glad I could be of service. :rolleyes1

:lmao::lmao::lmao:

This is just HIT my funny bone. I almost cried. Thanks for sharing your trip. It was a wonderful read. Thoroughly enjoyed it.
