A Totally Different Kind Of Report

I have read many many restaurant reviews/trip reports here and admired every single one of them. However my circumstances have never amounted to me having the same kind of wonderful trip experience that most of you have. By that, I mean a total Disney immersion full of Disney Dining Plans and nothing but Disney. Instead, my trips to Florida have always involved Disney, family and other adventures. This trip was partially business (if you can call the Children's Miracle Network Celebration business)...I was fortunately sent for such "business", but I assure you, it was total pleasure. A rewarding experience I'll never forget. It was also a trip to visit family and friends.

Anyway...on to the food part. I arrived via air on Wednesday, March 19th. After taking the Magical Express to Coronado Springs, I was hungry. They told me I had to wait for a room, so I headed for Pepper Market. Since it was the beginning of my trip, I was eager to maintain healthy eating habits from recent weight loss.:worship: Hah! Let's see how long that lasted! :rotfl:Anyway, after looking at the selections, and not wanting anything too heavy, I selected what they called a Shrimp Cocktail. I would call it a Salad with Shrimp Cocktail. This was really good! It was 4 large shrimp and cocktail sauce served on a bed of nice green lettuce with an Asian-style dressing. Light and delicious, and surprisingly not as expensive as many other options. It was $8.95 plus an iced tea for $2.19. With tax and the automatic service charge (they should leave that off and let us add it, cause I would've added more) was $13.05. If you're looking for a nice light meal at a reasonable price, this is it! (sorry, didn't take a picture).

Thanks for that review. We stay at the CSR every year and I don't remember ever seeing that on the menu...or I just missed it. That sounds really good and I'm going to give it a whirl on our trip in September.

You know, it doesn't seem to be on the menu, but I swear it was there. By the way, I have much more to report and some pictures as well, but I can't (so far) figure out how to post pictures! Anyone who can give me a quick course in picture-posting would be very appreciated!

So, my husband arrives, our room is assigned, and we're off to Downtown Disney to meet friends at T-Rex for our 7:45 reservations. Hungry for a good snack, what's a couple to do? Wolfgang Puck Express, of course! It's time for Nectar of the Gods...otherwise known as Butternut Squash Bisque.

(Okay I give up for now as I've tried repeatedly to add a photo here and it's just adding gibberish). I've searched for help, thought I followed the advice and I don't get it. Call me a photo IDIOT.

Great reviews so far! Looking forward to hearing how the rest of your trip went!!

Testing to see if a picture goes through.

If there's a better soup in this world, I have yet to find it. I love this Butternut Squash Bisque any time of the day or night. I've walked miles in the Chicago Airport to find Wolfgang Puck's and this soup. I've begged at the counter at 10:00 in the morning for them to have it ready already.

My husband, wanting something light also (after all we were on our way to dinner), ordered the side mac & cheese.

He loved this and even sacrificed a bite to let me try it too. Very rich, creamy and cheesy!

We shared a fountain drink, and our Appetizer/Snack stop was not only delicious, but reasonably priced as well. Soup was $4.95, Mac & Cheese $3.95, Fountain Drink $2.65. With tax, the total was $12.30.

That wonderful red stuff is red pepper swirl...YUM!

Now, I can't figure out how to post two DIFFERENT pictures in one post.
WAH!!!!!!!!!!!!:headache:

are you uploading your pictures to photobucket? If you do all you have to do to post multiple pics here is to copy the IMG code. You can post up to 25 images in a single post.

hope that helps ... I'm a technical-dummy so it took me a while to figure out how to do it myself.

I did put them on Photo Bucket, but every time I try to select another picture, it puts the butternut squash soup picture again!

See? I never thought I'd get ticked off at my favorite soup, but I'm starting to!

Okay, I think I might have it this time. (crosses-fingers and hopes this is a picture of mac & cheese and not soup)

Woohoo, your pictures are working - great reviews so far. We love WPE but never tried the butternut squash bisque.
