Ok- this may be TMI :confused3 but I'm going to put it out there, Cuz I know I'm not alone.

I haven't read this one before:

Spray bathroom air freshener / my husband would have gotten kicked out of the room if we didn't have it :rotfl2:

I did read bring liquid hand soap and plan to use that tip on my next trip. Also my son still uses flushable wipes so I brought some for the room also.

I just bought mini Oust sprays at Target in their dollar bins. That way you don't have to lug a big ol can of it. :thumbsup2

Breath mints, Listerine strips :scared:, or gum. The stores sell only candy mints.

.....Spray bathroom air freshener / my husband would have gotten kicked out of the room if we didn't have it :rotfl2:...

Air fresheners are also great to have to get rid of that "closed up room" smell while you are away from home :thumbsup2 I usually bring a non-aerosol linen type spray - which can double up as a air freshener and add a nice touch to the bedding....

We would never leave home without it. I like to spray as soon as we enter the room to freshen it up. :cheer2:

I always bring a non-aerosol container of Mia Rose Air Therapy. All natural orange scent, made from orange peel oil, no chemical smells. Freshens up the room and the bathroom, too, if necessary. I get mine at Trader Joe's for about $4, but I've seen it in grocery stores and on Amazon, too. And, it's supposed to energize, you, too!! :hippie:

I have packed liquid hand soap for every vacation we've gone on. And a roll of paper towel to dry our hands with.

I also pack Lysol and Lysol wipes. The remotes, doorknobs, and faucets get sprayed down when we enter the room.

Yeah, I'm a germaphobe. ;)

I agree with the lysol! On a trip to Myrtle Beach I started throwing up on the ride down, as the week went everyone got the stomache bug for 2 days, god bless the people who stayed in the room after us :scared1: Linda

I wipe down the doorknobs, etc, too. But the remote goes right into a gallon zip bag for the whole time we're in any hotel room. A person just can't get all those cooties off of it!

I don't leave home without my air freshener. If I fly, my first purchase when I arrive at my destination
is a can of lyesol (sp?). I spray every hard surface, the curtains, the carpet, the bedding, the shower curtain, etc. I think you get the idea. :rotfl:

You my friend are not alone.:grouphug:

I have to be honest never hit me to kill germs in the room. I will be bringing some Lysol on my next trip. Heaven forbid the people in the room before me had something (Stomach flu) YUCK
GREAT TIP!

What about the suitcase smell...I do not like that either! You could put a bounce sheet in each suitcase before you get to disney and then when you open your suitcases...everything smells fresh!!!! AAAAHHHHH! That's what I am doing!

I also ALWAYS bring a couple of kitchen trash bags....to pack dirty smelly clothes! The laudry bags in the closet of the hotels are never large enough!

I am also bringing the GIANT ZIPLOCK bags and pack them in our backpack...so if we go on water rides of any type...or it starts raining...all of out stuff in the bag will not get drenched!

My Husband says I am prepared for any Disaster that could come at me.
I have a plastic tub that I have been filling up with all of the little things I
think I may need for our trip.
As of now I don't think I can put one more item in it.

I have:
Bug repellent wipes & Bug bite anti-itch pen

Lysol spray and wipes (with throw away gloves to wear)

Mini Oust from Target

Mini bottle of Dish soap (and heavy duty Paper towels for washing with)

Concentrated Liquid Landry Soap-1 tblsp measure-Dryer sheets-Quarters ect.
(for doing a few loads of clothes)

4 Cup Coffe fillters- & (small can ground coffee-in the strenght that I like-
WDW coffee-(Yuck) and I had to use double the packs to get it strong enough) & powdered creamer.

Hangers with clothes pins attatched

2 mini Shoe holders with the Pockets-hooks to clothes rack in room (found at cheap bins in Target)

Mini Pop up Hamper (cheap bins-Target-I'm keeping it folded for packing)

Bought a smaller spray bottle and will add Wrinkle Release
(so I won't have to Iron)

2 Fat Pens for Autographs (POC-Found cheap Bins at Target) & the autograph book that we have almost filled from
several trips.

Small Misty Mate--Mickey Fan from our last WDW Trip

Mole Skin--for blisters

A Bag of every kind of Cream imaginable (triple antibiotic, anti- itch, ect.)

Body Powder for the Boys (heat rash relief) & also bought Me the Monistat Powder Gel for Heat Rash-between thighs)

2 Relief Bands (helps relieve motion sickness without drugs)

Guide to the Magic book

Pin Collecting Book that can clip on your belt loop--(in case my DS finds some pins at the parks).

Weekly Pill Medication Reminder-- plastic (so I won't forget to take meds. on trip).

Be Kool -soft Gel Sheets (which can be placed on the back of your neck to keep Cool--last 8 hours--Walgreens)

I put all the the items that go together in a Ziplock bag and labled them for the purpose they will be used for. Also I will be packing more Ziplocks.

That's all as of now but the list may get longer. :scared:

My germaphobia starts with the airline flight, I carry the Clorox wipes in the flat travel pack and wipe down the table tray and arm rest on the airplane.:surfweb: :surfweb:

As germophobe as I am... I didn't even think of wiping down airplane or hotel room surfaces. YiKeS! :scared1:. I ALWAYS carry Purell with me, but I"m going to have to snag some clorox/lysol wipes before our next trip! My husband will think I'm insane-- I can just see myself running around the room wiping everything down like a maniac!.

I bring a nite lite with me, if I remember. Nothing worse than stumbling around the room in the dark.

I have to be honest never hit me to kill germs in the room. I will be bringing some Lysol on my next trip. Heaven forbid the people in the room before me had something (Stomach flu) YUCK
GREAT TIP!

Believe me - the previous guest ONLY leaving stomach flu is the LEAST of your concerns!

Be as germaphobic as you want. Hotels are inherently nasty. There has also been an increase in bed bugs (yes - they're real) as well as other very unpleasant, disgusting, and nasty surprises.

I don't care how thorough housekeeping is - hotels are disgusting.

Since you mentioned your husband would have been kicked out of the room if you didn't have the air freshener, I thought I should mention matches.

Not sure if many people know this but striking a match burns up some nasty smells in the room. We always keep matches in the bathroom. They are my preference since I don't like breathing in the chemicals of the air fresheners and sometimes the fresheners just mingle in with the smell in the roo
