A thread to notify others of changes?

Hi
I am looking for a thread that hopefully exists where people who change their adrs, resort room types, dates, resorts, etc are put on one thread so people that are waiting to get a reservation know when to call.

For example, we are going to BC Nov 11-17 with a garden view. We want to add an extra day either the 10 or the 18 but cant because they don't have the garden view on those days so we would have to upgrade our package to lagoon view for another $900 just to add the day. Not worth it.

We really want to make it a standard view plus that extra day.

Is there a thread for this?

Thanks in advance!

ADR's would be on the dining pages; I know some people do post when they cancel a popular ADR.

As far as resorts go, even if someone posted that they canceled their ressie or dropped a few days, it doesn't usually go back officially on the computer until they roll over the next day. Usually by then, someone has called periodically and happens to snag that reservation unknowingly and by the next day, it is gone.

The restaurant board already maintains cancellation threads.

Don't see the need to have one for resorts because it probably won't go back into the system as soon as it is cancelled.

Interesting idea but likely of very little use. With the call volumes Disney gets from people checking daily to see if an ADR or room has opened up its most probable that by the time it's posted here someone has already grabbed it. That's your best strategy, if you really need or want something, keep calling to see if you can get it.

Thanks for the replies. yes, I have called 5 times already. I just hope they don't put a note everytime I call and get annoyed and put us on the blacklist!

They don't put notes on your reservations every time you call. The only way they might know that you have called is if a room change or addition, or a room request or celebration note had been made on a pre-existing reservation- they would be able to see the different dates.

I can't imagine how anyone might end up on a blacklist unless they had been banned from WDW completely for past transgressions. And they would have to be major rule/policy/law violations.

They are not going to "blacklist" anyone for asking if a room is available. If they're going to do that, it'd likely be for a caller who engaged in systematic abuse of the phone agents.

Monica5:
There is a cancelled room thread under the "discount codes thread". I posted a question there myself (I also need to add a day) but now I wonder if I should be calling myself instead. I thought the operators see the same thing we do on the resort ressie site?
