A Thankyou Thread

I thought it might be a nice idea to start a thankyou thread off. By this i mean a particular DIS member(s), that you just wanna say a small(or big thanks to), im sure there are lots of you out there who have been over whelmed at the friendliness and helpfullness of certain people here on the boards. I am still surprised today that people who i have never met can be so kind, so Id like to start this thread off by nominating

SD(aka Spotty dog), he has been like a rock to me whenever I've had a bad day, felt down or ever felt like giving up, he's always there with an email to make me laugh and brighten my day, so Dave thankyou!

Janice(our super Mod), thankyou for making a little boy in this house very happy, your generosity will not be forgotten.

Jules, how thoughtful of you. I have met both SD (and Val and the kids ) and Janice and they are both truly lovely people. I have received kindness and support from many DISers and met quite a few too.

Today is a day to celebrate being a member of the wonderful DIS family, I feel! Thanks, Jules.

Like Dave its hard to single people out when so many of you have been so NICE !!! Like yourself Jules I have yet to meet anyone from these sites but I found them really easy to talk to about Thomas (the son I lost) and also my worry about glaucoma.

A special thankyou to Bev97 and Janice who sent me PM which helped a great deal.

But I think you're all GRRRRREEAATTTTTT !!! and I hope to meet up with some of you in the future.

Good idea Jules

I don't quite know where to start to be honest!! I've met so many good friends on here who deserve thanks in some way. At the Meet on Saturday I said to Shirley it seemed daft that I still told friends at home I was going on a 'Dis Meet' as it's really a 'Friends Meet' (Makes sense to me!).

But, special thanks to ...

Dave, Valerie, Gary & Julie - Who'd have thought a Meet by the shark at Universal in '01 could have made such good friends to me, Bryn and Carys - thank you

Me (aka Squitty/Michelle) (& Ne!) - My Mate Me!! Endless chats on the phone and shopping - what more could I ask for from my friend!

Kazzie - My 'first' Dis buddie!

Shirley, Janice & Sam - My Ladies What Lunch friends who always make me laugh when life gets bumpy!

Annie (Mrs Dazzle) - My 'local' friend and coffee time mate!

But, its really thanks to everyone - you're the best!

I've made loads of new friends here over the years - many I've met and many I've yet to meet, from the UK, USA, Canada, Australia, Germany etc etc.


Everyone has been downright friendly and supportive throughout - even tolerant of the odd dodgy shirt or two! - LOL

Well, I AM going to be sloppy - so many new friends have been made on these boards that, like everyone else, it would not be fair to single them out.

But, I would like to say special thanks and hello's to Astrid, my coffee morning chum and 'Also New Forest Friend' (looking forward to cream cakes next week, petal , Mazzy, Kazzie and UK Deb - so helpful with all my endless queries and for SpottyDog - I can't imagine life before Dave and Val
