This position requires an independent action oriented thinker, who is eager to manage projects in the QA department, track resources, department budget and approvals for Disney Online Quality Assurance projects.
Primary responsibilities include supervising projects through the defined production process and department policies. This includes enforcing, revising, communicating, and educating production staff. In addition this role is responsible for the agenda as well as conducting the DOL Daily Production Call and supervises all follow-up and action items established during the daily meeting of the QA department. Secondary responsibilities include aggregating, distributing, and facilitating communication between Disney Online production teams, quality assurance, and site integration. In addition this role is responsible for developing insightful analysis of production throughout the DOL organization and supporting the Department by reporting on Defects by Developer and project with reporting tools provided.
This position works along side the QA Team Lead and the Director of QA. A successful candidate will be someone who is an inventive, independent, insightful, and efficient problem solver with knowledge of television, film, software and website production. Proficiency in writing is a plus.
Qualifications:
Exceptional organizational skills (attention to detail while not losing site of big picture), with the ability to interface professionally with all aspects of DOL production, including upper management
2-5 years experience in project management or production operations
Excellent written, verbal, and listening skills
Team player, exhibiting common sense and analytical reasoning skills
College or University degree preferred
Undergraduate degree in Business Administration, Computer Science or Film Production
Working knowledge of the Internet and online technologies
Position requires ability to understand quality assurance concepts and website software development process
Knowledge of CASE, RUP and other software development methodologies
Must be able to work overtime when required
CMS knowledge and experience preferred
Specific Skills Required:
Familiarity with Internet technologies: HTML, JavaScript (client-side verification), Shockwave, Flash, Quicktime, RealPlayer, CGI, HTTP, HTTPS, and FTP. MS-Project, Excel and Word Skills.
