While u were probably sleeping on disney property i had a disney experince of my own earlier this morning. The Disney Store opened up at midnight and i was there. I wasnt able to buy much but i could not resist an xperince like that. I bought 5 shirts and a pair of pj's (2 of the shirts were for myself and everything else was a gift) and i only spent like $26. I was excited and had to share with you guys. I'll post pics later but only if u want to see them.

Hope ur having fun and taking TONS of pictures. Cant wait to see them.

Hi Memom and Jill and family!
Love the ending....its so sad to say goodbye to Disney! I would like to see if two weeks is enough....my guess is no. I think I could spend an entire month and not get sick of it. I plan on trying someday!


I was thinking of you the past few days. "I wonder what Memom is doing now? I wonder what pics she is taking? I wonder what it is like to wake up in Disney on a holiday? I wonder what they are eating for Thanksgiving? I hope its wonderful!" Seriously....all these thoughts going through my head as we prepared for our day. I was so fortunate to have my brother and sister in laws here. We had a fun-filled few days together.... well, Happy Thanksgiving! Looking forward to hearing/seeing all about your trip! Hi MeMom and Brooklynnsmommy! Good to hear all is going well. It's nice to hear the holiday is full of laughter. The decorations must be beautiful. So nice to get an update. Enjoy the days you have left.

Don't they though?!?!? I want to meet those sweet girls someday.
We saw two little girls dressed in Pilgrim outfits the other day playing at the My Little Pony station at Once Upon a Toy. Their little bonnets had mouse ears on them!

We are enjoying our stay. It's cold in the morning and at night, but the days are nice. People have been in the pool every day. Lots were in there yesterday.

We saw the first official lighting of the Osborne Lights for 2008. We got there about 5:45, and it was packed. We came for the full experience, so we plopped ourselves right there in the midst of it and waited. Brooklynn got a kick out of the snow falling. The lights are so pretty, and unless you have stood right in the middle of it to see it and hear it and hear the people around you clapping and oohing and aahing, you just can't comprehend how cool it is. No pictures or youtube videos can do it justice. I called Dawn and held the phone up for her to hear, and she called back later (but I missed it) and said she got the music, but wasn't sure where we were. So, Dawn, that music was live from Osborne Lights.

We've been to Animal Kingdom, Magic Kingdom, and Hollywood Studios. Today is our Epcot day. We'll be there pretty much all day. We're meeting some Dis friends at 6 - SwansLoveDisney and Janloz - if it all works out as planned. Tomorrow, we are supposed to meet snowbell at Magic Kingdom sometime before we leave. I woke up with my right eye all swollen, wouldn't you know, so I'll be meeting them in sunglasses, for sure. I've had a cold for a while, so this morning it decided it would move into my eye, I guess. It's not enough that it has taken up residence in my ears, nose, and throat for the last two weeks.

We did have two good Thanksgiving meals. We ate at Liberty Tree Tavern on Wednesday, and then we ate at Chef Mickey's on Thursday. When we were leaving Chef Mickey's, I checked my phone and had a message from MickeyMomof3. We just missed her. I'm pretty sure they walked by us as they were going out and we were in line to go in, but I didn't hear my phone. With all the music and noise, I've missed several calls, so now I just put it on vibrate and put it in my pocket. That works better.

I'm going out for my morning walk. I'll come back to meet up with whoever is going to rope drop at Epcot this morning, which supposedly is everyone, We'll see if the big boys really do get up as they claimed they would. This is the last day. Time does fly when you are here.

MeMom: I'm sorry you've been sick. I have to say, I'm impressed that it hasn't interfered with your waking up early and going for early morning walks.

I would love to see the Osborne lights in person sometime. I've seen YouTube videos, but before that, I didn't know that the music was from Trans-Siberian Orchestra. I saw them live last year with my boyfriend and we are going again this year in under two weeks.

I hope that your Dismeets work out as planned! Can't wait to hear about it when you get home.

Have you heard the talk of them changing the name of Pop to Animation Inn & Family Suites? I read a thread one day that said that's on the drawing board for several years down the road. If true, they would be using classic Disney stories as the theme - Snow White and Pinocchio were mentioned. We won't know until we see it, but classic Disney would be cool.

if they do change the name I hope i get to go back and visit one more time before it happens.

Jill shared with Ariel that Brooklynn watched her movie often, and of course Ariel was just thrilled to hear that.

(I just noticed that Ariel looks like she more playing the role of one of Cinderella's stepsisters in this picture, but she really was being sweet. I just caught her at a bad second, apparently. It looks like she's thinking, "Get this snot-nosed little kid outta here!", but she's really not.)



In a few hours, we'll know what our new baby is.
I don't know what Jill has planned about getting word to you guys who are interested,
but either she'll get on and tell or she'll give me the word to let you know.
She's ready to know, and she's really ready for Brooklynn to stop calling it Baby Kermit!

After asking a few questions, the girl couldn't understand why I wasn't already a DVC member.

Committment. That's why. I can't make promises to a future I can't predict in an area like this. If I can afford it, I go, and if I can't, I'm not paying every month for something I shouldn't be.

Anyway, I redirected the conversation back to the young people, because this was John's idea. If they get DVC, they'll get their money's worth, but at 51, I'm doubting I will get forty years of trips out of it.

My dad asked me on thanksgiving if i want to go half with him on DVC. As much as i would love to i opted not to becuase one he couldnt even help me pay my storage unit how is he going to pay dvc. and two if i have money to go, i'll go. DVC is not for me, at least not right now.

Jill and I talked about her doing an October report, hopefully when she gets internet at home for her Christmas present. We also talked about a title for a Thanksgiving report, if you guys are interested in reading another long drawn out report by a boring old school teacher. Really, if you guys are sick of hearing about/from us, please just be honest and say so. I don't want to you to feel obligated to read and reply just because you're all just too kind to see someone ignored. We enjoy getting together with you all and getting to know you though this venue, but we've been here a long time, and it may be time to just pass the torch and let you move on to new, fresh people so that we don't just drive you to boredom with the same old faces and places.

I'll never get bored of your adventures and stories. With the new addition coming next year, your adventures will only get better. I hope you guys stick around. And if you decide to (which i hope you do) i'll be here

I was just thinking the other day when you said Jill might get internet for christmas how much FUN it would be for us all to be on here on a regular basis!

PLUS....you MUST show me your christmas pics. I would be oh so sad if I couldn't see those And I really enjoy seeing pics of Brooklynn and watching her grow. It's really wild when I think back to how small she was when you guys started doing your TR's.

Some people laugh at me for making friends on the internet.....but I think I have some pretty good ones!!

I'm still hoping we can all make a large party trip together someday . And then we could do a giant group TR So don't you go ANYWHERE!!!

Everyone here is like my 2nd family. I havent made any friends since i moved to WI, i dont want to be seprated from my DIS friends too.

Megablocks - You could have just kept thinking I wouldn't have liked being a cold, enclosed fridge. You didn't have to tell me about it! I worked at McDonald's as a teenager, and I always stuck a pickle bucket at the door to hold it open whenever I had to go in there to get anything.

I did that at Dunkin Donuts only i used a tub of ice cream or a box of bagels
