A Ten Day Ride on A Magic Camel - Almost Finished Trip Report

I won't be on again until tomorrow evening so I just wanted to say bye and have a safe and magical trip :wizard:

We'll be thinking of you back here in Dis-world and anxious to hear all about it when you return

So, within a few hours, this trip has been spammed, lost, found, re-authored, and hijacked. What a way to finish out!

Of course, most people probably missed all of the chaos as they were out having Sunday fun with their families. My day was church, lunch, pack, Walmart, fill up with gas, back home - and I am in for the evening, because I have got to finish up around here.

****************************************

From Coronado Springs, I met back up with the gang at Magic Kingdom.

Look at this cute little hot dog eatin' girl.

And that is all I have time to show. You've all seen Spectro many times and Spectro pictures even more, I'm sure. If I can think of some new things to photograph from the parade - new angles or whatever, I will do it this time.

I've got to go put another load of clothes in and get the kitchen in order before I leave it for a week. I hope you've all had a nice, peaceful Sunday.

I don't know what it is about it, but I love the pic of the MK at dusk. It just captures something intangible about being there...it just seems so peaceful or something.

And the pic of that cutie patootie eatin a dog or dippin into the fries....awwwwwwww just so adorable :cutie: I keep saying that don't I?

I hope you all have a wonderful time! I can't think of anything to change about your pics...I love them all and your descriptions and humor and beautiful family are more than enough. :dance3:

Happy Thanksgiving Memom and family!!!!!

MeMom and Jill, if I don't catch you before you leave tomorrow, have a magical time and I'll see you Saturday! Can't wait to meet you all in person!

at least it made for an exciting afternoon! :lmao:

It was our last night, and it was Jill's request that we get Casey's hot dogs and watch SpectroMagic.

So we did!

my kinda night!!! :thumbsup2

i love that little outfit!

really cool fireworks pics too! what setting do you have your camera on there? i'm sure your camera is way fancier than mine, but i was just curious.

i can't believe you guys are leaving tomorrow!!!!!!! you must be so excited! i have a little over 2 weeks left and i'm beside myself. i hope you guys have a wonderful, happy, magically festive holiday trip!!!! and HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!! :goodvibes

Great day of shopping! Looks like we both were at Walmart. ;) A turkey for .57cents a pound, what a bargain! :thumbsup2 I got a cute Mickey fleece hoodie and and several other bags of stuff. Found the "Littlest pet" Lexi was wanting for Xmas, boy was it hard to find. :)

party: YOUR TRIP IS FINALLY HERE !!!party:

I probably won't be on the DIS until after work tomorrow and you will already be on your way. Have a wonderful trip with your family. Drive careful and don't do anything too crazy. (like forget your camera in your room or trip on the curb) Enjoy the time at WDW and come home with tons of shopping pics. I'll be happy to see anything, you have a great eye. Go ahead and indulge in the many great food choices but save room for dessert. Yummy! Have a Happy Thanksgiving. You will be missed here, I'll be here when you get back.

I hope you only see :sunny: skies all week !!!

Hey MeMom!!

You know, I think we get jyped on Walmart here! American Walmart is so much better! A couple weeks ago when I headed over I got a suit at walmart in MI! I've never seen a suit at walmart before! And it's actually nice!

Great pictures MeMom! I've never been over to Coronado. I love the nighttime magic kingdom pics too! It's just such an amazing atmosphere, and your capturing of the fireworks was really cool. Plus you have that cute little Brooklyn and her family to share the evening with! :cutie:
And I reiterate, I want that Alice tea china!!!! I collect traditional tea cups and...oh I don't know how I'd get it home, and it's way too expensive to ship it to Canada from the parks. I guess we'll see how much of a shopping pushover I become when I get there! ;)

Anyhow, I'm another MeMom and Jill, who wont be on again until tomorrow night so I'm stopping by to wish you bon voyage! :goodvibes I hope you all have a safe trip and a FABULOUS time! Also, have a great Thanksgiving! I guess I wont have a chance to chat with you again until after I come back! In anycase, I hope you have a magical trip! I can't wait to hear all about it! :wave2:

Wow, I was wondering what happened to your TR before I left for work. I was pretty confused. So glad it got straightened out!

I love the picture of MK at dusk, and the picture of Brooklynn covering her eyes is so cute. Is she at the age where she thinks that if she can't see you, then you can't see her? :rotfl: I love it when kids do that! It's so much fun to watch them.

Have a safe, fun, AMAZING trip! I will be thinking of you guys and looking forward to hearing about the fun time you had. Tell Goofy he's my favorite and I'll see him in February. ;) Have a happy Thanksgiving!

It is 2:41 a.m., and I still have much to do. I hope you all will forgive me for not having the time to do personal replies for the last few days. I feel bad about it, but I just had/have so many things to do before I get out the door for good this morning. I am so grateful for all of your interest in the pictures and report, and I appreciate the kind comments.

Now for the last few pictures...

Jill and John wanted to go ride Toy Story Midway Mania one more time, if I recall correctly. I remember they went somewhere, and I think that's what they did.

I would call Jill to verify that, but she might not appreciate a middle of the night call, so we'll go with my memory.

I stayed with the wee one.

There was one last Brooklynn (still in her nightgown) and MeMom walk through Everything Pop.

This girl will log enough hours to get her shopping license at a very young age.

IMG_4753.jpg

It's mostly window shopping, though - a lot more looking than buying, so it's not too dangerous.

IMG_4756.jpg

We saw one last Pop breakfast, but this morning we didn't pig out. We just got some fruit and yogurt this day.

IMG_4757.jpg

I decided that we would sit at the same table we were ate when we started this trip. Here's the view from that table.

IMG_4758.jpg

In the middle of a cold, dark Tennessee night, I can imagine myself in that warm place, palm trees swaying in the breeze, the sound of the water, families passing by talking of plans for the day...

That's why I enjoy taking the pictures, because they really do capture a moment in time and allow you to enjoy it again and again.

We went back to the room and watched our last little bit of Disney TV.

IMG_4770.jpg

Jill and John returned, and while they were getting all of their things together, Brooklynn and I got out of their way and walked some more.

We said goodbye to our favorite kiddie pool,

IMG_4818.jpg

and waved so long to the Head family.

IMG_4835.jpg

I pretty much just followed this little thing around the resort, whichever way she wanted to walk, for a while. We wanted her to be worn out by the time our flight took off so that she would sleep, so we walked for a good while.

IMG_4838.jpg

Did you notice Brooklynn in the reflection?

When we got back to the rooms, they looked much like they would when new guests would come in later that day to begin their Disney fun.

At 11, official check out time, we hauled all of our bags out and went back toward Classic Hall.

Here we are, officially homeless.

IMG_4844.jpg

We parked ourselves at an outside table.

The view from where we sat.

IMG_4846.jpg

We went in to get some lunch before it was time to meet Magical Express.

IMG_4842.jpg

IMG_4843.jpg

Then it was time.

IMG_4849.jpg

IMG_4850.jpg

From the bus, one last second of Pop from the window.

IMG_4855.jpg

Some blurry pictures of the gang telling us how happy they were that we had come.

IMG_4881.jpg

IMG_4884.jpg

They acted like they really would like to see us come back, so of course, we didn't want to disappoint them.

Brooklynn missed out on them asking us to return, however.

IMG_4889.jpg

Still grasping for the last few seconds of Disney.

IMG_4891.jpg

IMG_4892.jpg

We saw this cool airplane while we were waiting at the gate.

IMG_4895.jpg

Next summer's trip may be a good time to take Brooklynn to SeaWorld. We know she would love it, because she loves animals of all kinds.

Jill spotted her bag out on the tram.

You know you're back in Nashville when you hear the country singers belting it out.
This is the airport extension of Tootsie's.

IMG_4910.jpg

'Bubby' was happy to see his little sleeping beauty again.

IMG_4912.jpg

(He was coming from work when he picked us up, so he was kind of grungy looking. Sorry about that. He cleans up pretty nicely!)

It had been a wonderful nine nights and almost ten days.
It wasn't enough, of course, because it never is.
I want to add a couple more days on in the future just to see if maybe eleven nights and twelve days is enough, or maybe two full weeks. I think in two full weeks, we really truly could do everything we wanted to at a good pace, and be ready to leave very satisfied. I hope we can try that sometime.

I apologize for such a pitiful rush job here at the end, because I know I put in some bad pictures and skipped over some good ones in my hurry.

The rest of the summer was busy with church camp, school workshops, and returning to school for me.

Jill, John, and Brooklynn went back to school and work. They were fortunate enough to be able to return to Disney World in October, and I hope she'll be able to put up pictures of that trip soon.

Since school started, it has been non-stop work, work, work. I really haven't even had the time to think much about this trip, so it hasn't seemed like a painful wait. I am very ready for the break from work.

I'm glad Trent gets to go, and he's looking forward from the break from school. His buddy, Jarvis is coming with us, and he's been excited about it. He said he last went when he was about twelve. They've both talked mostly about the food!

I'm sad that Drew can't go, but he is working long hours and some double shifts this week, as he works in one of those stores that people will be bombarding in the wee hours of the morning later this week. He'll eat Thanksgiving dinner with friends, and I know he'll be fine, but I'll still be wishing he was with us at Chef Mickey's on Thursday.

I have to go to school today, but it's a planning day, so hopefully it will be productive. As soon as the day is over, I will be steering toward Alabama to Jill's house. We'll be stopping over this evening in Perry, GA for a few hours of sleep. We plan to be on the road again very early in the morning. Tomorrow, before lunch time, we will be at All-Star Music, where I am hoping to be greeted by pretty Christmas decorations.

We will probably get the internet two days so that we can take care of bills and other correspondence, so when we have it, we will check in and tell you guys how it is going, and maybe we can even put up a picture or two.

I wish you could all be there with us, and we'd get that table for a hundred and just sit around and share stories of our families and get to know each other. We might even fill up an elevator or two on Tower of Terror and make some crazy faces for an awesome picture. Or we'd fill and entire Magic Kingdom train and wave furiously at passersby who would think we were all nuts. Or we'd ride Soarin' and all clap at the end because it's just such a cool ride. Or we'd fill several rows at the Candlelight Processional and sit there in quiet reverence, listening to the beautiful music and performance the choirs and orchestra have worked so hard to share with us. Or we'd just stand in the presence of a beautifully lit icicle castle, thinking how blessed we all are to be able to experience things like this.

I hope that someday our trips will cross will all of yours, and that we will be able to meet face to face. Until then, we enjoy your friendship on this forum, and we count it as a blessing to know you through this. I'm grateful for the people who provide the Disboards so that we can be here in this way to share our trips and all of the Disney fun we create outside our trips.

I'll be off and on today, and I'll try to say a final "See you soon!" this afternoon before I leave. We haven't come up with a title for the new trip yet, so I guess we'll hang around here until we think of something.

I hope you all have a good Monday, and hopefully this will be a very nice week ahead for so many people as we get together with people we love for some special time away from work and worries.

'Bye Brooklyn! 'Bye MeMom! 'Bye Jill and John! See you real soon!

MeMom, thanks for a wonderful trip to the Magic Camel! I have absolutely loved sharing your trip with you over the past few months. I think I would be really depressed if you weren't leaving tonight for another fun-filled adventure. I know I will think of all of you often over the next few days -- tonight while you are mere hours away down I-75 in little Perry, GA; tomorrow while I am at school and you are checking into All-Stars; Thursday while I am watching the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade and you are eating at Chef Mickey's. :goodvibes

Have a wonderful, magical, safe, and fun trip, and give Mickey a big hug from all of us at Chez Charleston Princess! Let him know that we are counting down the days until we see him again! (194 days away)

Looking forward to all the light fixtures, hidden Mickey's, Brooklyn stories, window shopping, and funny commentary when you return!

Okay, one last good bye this morning. You must be on :cloud9:

I was wondering whose pretty purple suitcases those were. Very nice Brooklynnsmommy. :lovestruc

I can picture myself at that table having a POP waffle. Love the tour of POP.

I hope you take lots of pics of ASMusic, so I can maybe make up my mind between the two resorts. ;)

Good luck on your Mission "find blanket", I know you are up for the challenge. :wizard:

Sleeping beauty Brooklynn is so precious, she is too cute!

Enjoy the Magical Monday, off to work I go! :dance3:

Wow looks like I missed a lot yesterday. Great finish to the TR MeMom. I have probably missed you but I wish you a safe trip and just remember, we are all jealous that you are there AGAIN!. :goodvibes

I just love this picture for some reason. The MK at night is my favorite!

Aw...I hate going home! I loved this TR!

So, I was thinking, would you read my TR if I just did one with all my pics from the trip and then just said what they were and stuff? Because I can't remember exactly everything we did...

Memom,

Safe trip to you and all your family. I love your TRs and can't wait to meet you and all the family I have come to "know' through the TRs and the other Dis groups on Saturday.

i would say i'm sad to see it end, but i'm not because you're leaving today for another trip. what great timing!

hope you have a good planning day and that those disney thoughts dancing in your head get you through the day. and have a safe trip down to alabama and then to florida! i would wave at you guys when you pass but perry is about 2 hours south of here and i'm assuming you'll be coming into georgia on I-20, so you won't be passing me as i'm up on I-85 north of atlanta.

i think taking brooklynn to sea world would be awesome. the last time i was there was 1992 when i was 15. i loved it almost as much as disney world. almost. ;) i do want to return sometime soon.

HAVE A MAGICAL TRIP!!!!!!!! :goodvibes

BYE  MeMOM, JILL AND FAMILY!!!!!!!
I know you will have a wonderful time and be safe :goodvibes

I can't wait to see your Holiday pictures!!!!!! :upsidedow
