Ohh wonderful update of more shopping pictures. I had a dream last night that I went to WDW, in which I was very brave and drove in a few hours from my northern NY to Orlando, FL just so I could get to Disney World. I recall spending a lot of money and not being able to do anything, because when I got there the park was closed Not a very happy dream.
But your pictures are uplifting enough!
Brooklynn is absolutely adorable.
Glad you're with us! Don't I wish you could drive from NY to WDW in a few hours, because that would mean from TN it would probably be just an hour or so! That would, however, be DANGEROUS to my bank account, as anemic as it already is anyway.
Getting there and finding the park closed? Bad, bad, dream!!! Go back to sleep and do it over, with a better ending. This time, you find out the parks are open 24/7 and everything is half price!
If you come by Le Cellier a little after 6, you should be able to see the first surprise of our trip for our kids. They don't know that my inlaws are coming on our trip (they didn't want to tell the kids in case they had to cancel) and since we arrive at WDW 2 1/2 hours prior to inlaws we are planning to head over to Epcot and have them meet us at Le Cellier to surprise the kids. The plan is something like, "Let's call Granny & Poppy and let them know that we made it safely before we go to dinner." And as they are talking to them, mention something about Disney is the place dreams come true and then have them show themselves to the kids. So if you hear alot of screaming from that part of Canada pavillion, you will know it worked.
i will PM you my cell number too since I would love to say hi even if for just a few minutes.
Maybe I could stand over to the side and take pictures of the expressions on all of your faces when that big reveal comes. Capturing the kids' faces would be a treasure for you, and then your own joy at watching them would be another nice thing to have. We'll exchange numbers and see what happens. That's such a sweet idea for you to surprise them!
I agree we are very lucky that our gas has dropped to $1.99 or anywhere in that range. I hope it drops another .30 or so. Hopefully those prices will get to all of you very soon and stay there!
Thanks for another set of great pics. Brooklynne just gets more and more adorable every day!
Brookylnn also gets more and more sassy little girlish every day! She thinks she looks pretty spiffy in her painted fingernails, fake jewelry, and dress-up clothes. Gosh, just thinking about her brings tears to my eyes, because I love her so much!
Great safari photos, MeMom. The lion pics are fantastic!
I also loved your shopping pictures, of course. The gift shops in AK are my favorite. I love how they have all of the regular stuff, plus lots of unique things, too.
They do have the coolest things. If I had a house with fifteen rooms, I'd do one for about every resort/theme at WDW. I'd definitely love to have an AK/AKL room with all that unique stuff. I think all the plush characters in their safari clothes are too cute.
It's best not to put Wild up there too much! It seems it puts "ideas" into their heads! I had a very Wild Wednesday today! If one student had not been there it would have been a Wonderful Wednesday!
Great shopping pics! Brooklynn looks like she is a natural drummer!
Welcome back to school! One student can make a HUGE difference! I don't go with Wild very often, believe me! I'd love to put Whispering Wednesday up sometime, but I never have. I'd be sorely disappointed within the first few minutes of the day, I'm afraid.
it was great seeing the different resorts. I was not sure of Shades of Green and had no idea how to ge tthere.
great update and pics.
That is CBR coming up. I went there and said I should have kept it as the resort it is beautiful. Oh well.
I love resort hopping, as you well know. CBR is pretty. It seems like a lot of people don't like the service there, but I don't know about that part.
You gave me an idea of new photos. Light fixtures!! I'll have to pop on over to that thread and see what's happening. Hidden Mickey's and lights! Who could ask for more???
It's an interesting thread. Lots of cool pictures! Come on over and add your own.
Light lover's thread, funny! I have to go check that out.
I think that "wonderful" is pretty safe. I don't think you can be too safe when working with third graders, or children in general. Don't want to plant any ideas in their minds!
I'm glad that Drew can move his arm now, and I am praying for the hearing in that one ear to come back too The hospital bill So sorry about that! Well, I'm sorry that any of it happened at all, but to have to deal with that on top of it all, stinks!
Also, I am impressed with you being able to keep this TR going until your Thanksgiving trip. I am so glad that you are, because I really enjoy your reports!
I seem to like to stretch one trip right into another. It just takes time to put up as many pictures as I do, so where one person might have ten pictures from a whole day, I have ten pictures of one fifteen minute event.
I just like being there again in detail, rather than skirting through it. I do have to speed up on this, though, because we will be back in four weeks. I know Jill wants to share her October pictures, too, if she ever gets to be at a computer for any length of time.
Be sure to check out all the awesome Disney lighting over there on the LL thread.
I have to agree with Brooklyn, making music IS much more fun with you tongue hanging out! How adorable! I love the one of her outside too. I noticed that one on the Light Lovers thread and almost mentioned how cute she was...then remembered I was on the LIGHT Lovers thread and restrained my comment. So I'll say it here, and say it again...
BROOKLYN IS SO CUTE!
And being on topic with the Light Lovers thread, I have tried to post on there twice now and the first time my computer was being mean, and the second time was last night when the boards went down! So, eventually I will share my current pics on there. I plan to take many, many more in TEN DAYS with our new digital camera.
Looking forward to your adventure at Pepper Market! (That was Pepper Market, right? I've never been there, only seen pics...but really want to go...)
Hooray for your now single digit countdown!!! Give that camera a good workout, and bring back lots of good pictures!
That picture was of Caribbean Beach. That's the food court. Doesn't it look so neat? Pictures next.
****************************************
So, here we are at Caribbean Beach. Our mission here was pretty much just to eat, browse, and take some pictures.
I love how this looks in pictures!
Yummy!
This was so good!
Gift shop pictures.
Unique postcards.
You can take the resort home with you.
Earrings are the only jewelry I wear, so I always look at them everywhere I go.
You may have seen these earlier, when I was posting for
Ma and Dad before they left.
Everyone needs a cushy soft flamingo for a pet. I think they're cute.
I didn't buy one, but I think they're cute.
Get the resort mugs while they still make them. They seem to be making less and less resort specific stuff these days.
Jill getting a cab to take us around the corner to Pop.
Art work in the lobby.
And here we are, back home.
Have a thrilling Thursday, all!
