When i have special disney pens i dont even want to use it for fear that i might lose it (or someone will steal it from me) but i usually end up saving 1 and using the others
I get pens on every trip, since I use so many at school, so I have multiples of most. I had only one AKL one, though, so I'll be buying more when I go over to see AKL Christmas decorations in November.
I have a picture similar to that of my Nephew(9). We went to sixflags for a day and he was SO tired when we came back. It was about 8 when we left and as soon as we got into the car he was out of it. The problem is he has medicine he has to take with food. So we went to BK and got him some nuggets. We kept trying to wake him up, but he just could not wake up. I had to cut up the nuggest and feed them to him while he was sleeping. It was so darn cute. I hated to disturb him, but he HAD to take his medicine.
Sleeping baby/kid pictures are so sweet. They make you forget about what demons they can be when they're awake!
The french fry pic is the cutest photo ever.
Thanks. Note that Sulley was still hanging in there with her!
Great pictures from the Animal Kingdom Lodge. I need to plan a day next time at Disney just to resort-hop.
Brooklynn is such a cutie at the pool.
Definitely take time to resort hop. All the resorts are so cool.
Ahhh, I so needed an AKL day today, MeMom (I must confess I was having a Queen of Hearts day where all I wanted to do was yell,
"Off with their heads!" ). Thank you, thank you, thank you! I always cheer up when I see pictures from there.
Of course, I have a new dilemma today -- I started thinking about how fun it would be to stay at Wilderness Lodge next summer (instead of AKL)...do you have any great pics of WL including the gift shop (because gift shops are very important to me in my resort choice)?
Does everyone at your house still have their heads this morning? I hope they all made it through your wrath!
Wilderness Lodge will definitely be the first deluxe we stay at. Trent said he wanted to stay there the first time he ever walked in that lobby, so the decision was made right then that when we could stay deluxe, Wilderness Lodge would be it.
Ooh, I had that chicken and pasta with the garlic bread when we went. It was pretty good.
Oh, how I miss Pop.
I hope that you get to eat at Boma sometime. We ate there for my belated birthday dinner, and it was really good! My sister is not at all "adventurous" when it comes to food, but even she found things to suit her.
I miss Pop, too. I just read Glenda's account of running over there for lunch, and as always, I just felt like I was right there this morning.
We're going to Boma eventually. Maybe next summer. I think I can talk them into breakfast, and I might have to settle for that, but I would truthfully like to go for supper.
Who is that in the pic with you?
Some tall, dark, and handsome fella I met on the way to our room.
Good Luck!!!! For some reason, I'm thinking if your school system is like mine, it would never happen!!!! Rats!!!! Too bad...because I think it would be an AWESOME field trip!!!!
Love the cutie in the pool! AKL looks like it would be a fun place to stay! We need to hop over and visit next time we are there. We didn't take the time last trip to check it out!
Hannah keeps asking when we are going to see Mickey....I really wish I could tell her when it would be! I'm hoping for a Fall Break 2009 trip, but we'll see if I can pull that off! Depends on how the school does fall break....
We keep trying to get our Reading Specialist to find us some workshops in Orlando, but so far, we've gotten nothing.
AKL will be our second deluxe, I feel pretty sure. Still, that's a long way off! For now, we enjoy visiting. There is so much to see.
Just have Hannah keep saying that sweetly to her dad. You'll get there, because he won't be able to resist that for long!
Thank you! WL is so beautiful! Now I am having cold sweats trying to decide where to stay.
What a wonderful thing it is to have such a choice as
"Which deluxe resort should I stay at?"
i read somewhere on the dis that someone's son gets excused from school because disney world is considered educational. i totally agree!!!!
i know as a teacher you probably disapprove but i'm pulling my kid out of school to go to WDW when the time comes. my dad always pulled us out of school in early may for vacation. it was our reward for doing well throughout the year. and it was good motivation!!! so i plan on doing that wiht my child, if possible. of course if he/she is not doing well in school, i won't do that. i know a lot of people disagree with this but my parents did it and i don't think any permanent damage was done.
we had these at boma.....so good! i was surprised. i figured i probably wouldn't like them that much. i'm not big on sweets. but they were very yummy!
Not only do I approve, I've skipped school myself to go to Disney World. Remember Jill's birthday trip last year? My friend who is our Reading Specialist has been trying to talk her husband into a Halloween trip, but he won't go for it. She asked if I'd go with her and the kids. It is tempting!
Maybe you can talk Jill into Boma for me.
Ahhhh Zebra Domes....drool.
Wonderful pics! Love the one of Brooklyn and the french fry.
That's what I say when I think of zebra domes... "Aaaaah!"
Then I don't say anything else
for a while
since my mouth
is busy
eating them!
Good Morning Mom! Love the AKL pics!
Sorry I havent been around. Between my "interesting" personal life and trying to write my report, I havent been on other threads lately. Hopefully in a week or two, I'll be back up to speed!
-Gmax
It takes a good part of the day just for you to answer your fan mail!
I've had my say about your friend. There are better things ahead, and someday you'll see the reasoning in all of this.
Your pictures were wonderful as usual---your pics are making my decision about where to stay next September SO difficult---AKL? WL? Decisions, decisions, decisions!!!! I love how much you guys stop to chill out and relax!!! You know how to handle it!!!!
We are able to relax on our ten day trips. The one coming in November - I'll probably be doing very little relxaing, since it could be my last trip until next summer. I'll be going full speed trying to get in everything I can, especially all the Christmas stuff.
MeMom:
Yes it is still Caleb. Hopefully we should get to meet him sometime tommorow.
I have already said my prayer for Caleb this morning. Hoping to see him soon. We're thinking of you all.
Memom, I loved the pictures in this update. Only 81 more days until we go to POP. We are eating at Whispering Canyon and Boma. I can't wait unitl I can see all of these places in person.
You'll love it all. We're almost ready to move down to the 50's in our countdown. I think we're at 61 or 62. I'll have to check.
Great pictures of AKL--we ate at Boma's in August--it was such fun to try a variety of food and desserts! We loved the little fruit tarts!
You can share pictures and try to help me in getting Jill convinced to go!
Count me in!!
Great plan, it's not like there are any pictures around as evidence that it happened!
Well, anyone who is available the end of July and first few days of August - we'll be at Pop then. We'll reserve a table by the pool!
Must go destroy pool-hopping evidence.
Have a good day, all! Meetings again today all day, but at least they feed us a good lunch, and we get a break from the kids. This is good experience for our student teachers, since we're not there to save them or help them in any way.
