I can smell the oranges and pine trees!!! Soarin' is my favorite ride at Epcot!

There are so many things I enjoy about this ride.

I love the feel of hang gliding, because I doubt I will ever experience the real thing.

I think the scenery is just beautiful, especially the ocean and the snow-covered mountains.

I enjoy watching first-timers as they experience Soarin' for the first time.

And I love hearing applause at the end.

There's a family that recreated a Soarin' ride at their house using a yard swing and a big screen. They have the dark entrance way, and one of their sons did the Captain's speech before you go in. They put a lot of work into it, with fans blowing and the swing being moved to the music and scenery. You should try to find the thread, or at least check out the video. I believe you youtube Minicot to find it. They made it and had an Epcot party, with Soarin' and a Mexico party and something else from Epcot that I can't recall at the moment.

(Added to say, I just went and found the thread on the Theme Parks Board. The other thing they did was Illuminations.)

No I already bought our park tickets, so when we added tickets to the package, it ended up not helping. Then I tried a different code for room only and they said we were in a blackout date??

Memom you are the first person, I think, to ever take pictures of the scenes in Soarin' - they were so fun to see! And thanks for the info on Minicot - I checked the videos out on youtube and they were really neat. The kid who gives the Soarin' spiel is priceless

Thank you for the Soarin' pictures-I haven't seen pictures from it yet. I only went on it once, but I have been dying to go back on it ever since. When we went in April, Epcot had nighttime EMH, and we got there a little late and didn't have much time, so we decided to just wait the 45 minutes for Soarin', since we figured that was probably the shortest wait time we'd see the whole trip.

When I get home from work, I am going to YouTube Minicot (and a whole bunch of other Disney-related things )

I just love the soarin pictures. My favorite part is the ocean with the surfers. I completely feel like I am with them. I will have to check out that video on U tube when I am home tonight. I am blocked at work.

loved your soarin pics. i haven't ridden that since may 2007. in september since i was only there for 2.5 days we didn't do epcot. and this past trip i got lucky to see WS, as you know, so i didn't push my luck! erica and i will actually be on this ride a week from tomorrow!!!
