I certainly wasn't offended -- lord knows I've seen plenty at our local Walmart!

that is true!!!!! We were actually in Walmart yesterday in Alabama and Hollie, of all things, takes off her shoes and wants to walk around there holding onto the buggy. I (didnt' mean to say it so loud!) said, "You are not walking around this store barefoot! You will get nasty, dirty walmart feet and I will not have my child getting that!"

I got a weird look! But, that is what I call dirty feet.....walmart feet!!

Good to have all of you with us. John, Brooklynn, and I are at MeMom's and we just went to Walgreen's to pick up pictures. Jammin Jungle parade music in the background! We are in the midst of planning Brooklynn's Monster's Inc. birthday party. Have a great rest of the weekend everyone!

Thanks. I think my kids are pretty adorable, but it's always nice to hear it from someone else. Another installment is coming today. I'm waiting for Sears to bring my new refrigerator, so posting will be done around whatever time they show up.

Yeah, that was after Kristi had dropped her silverware twice at Whispering Canyon. That was a good meal, and Trent says it was one of his favorites. He'd like to go back next summer.

Only Brooklynn says "Dondle". I'm always glad when we catch him by the Mexican pavilion. We will definitely work out a future trip when we are at Disney World at the same time. My trips can't be after the first couple of days in August, though, because we head back to school. Summers, holidays, and 'stolen' weekends are about all I've got to work with, but someday our paths will cross. I really wish I could be at the meet you guys are having soon!


Okay, no delivery guys yet, so I'll get started.

After the parade, there was just a short while before our Crystal Palace reservation.

We were here,

and didn't want to wander too far away from the area.

Plus, there wasn't time to go to a ride or show, so we did what any smart person would do to fill the time.

We shopped! (Get those Disney shopping baskets out, guys!)


Jill modeled this hat for all of you hat lovers. Isn't she just too cute in it?

(I just noticed the guy in the back looking at her like she was crazy.)

I found these nice boxers, if anyone is interested - however, there is no model for these.

Many, many Crocs.

I can't wait to buy Brooklynn (and all my other future granddaughters, hint, hint) lots of this fun stuff!!!

Looking at these pictures makes me want to go back just for a shopping trip. When I'm there, I say no to buying everything I want, but then I get back home and wish I had this or that and regret not buying it.

I am dying to get in a three day trip before school starts. Just fly down, do DTD and maybe Animal Kingdom and a little resort hopping just get in one last big gulp o' Disney before school starts and I have my loooooong wait until Thanksgiving. It would be crazy absurd to do that, but I want to so, so, so much! I think it's because last year, we went to Disney as soon as church camp was over. This year, Disney was over, so after church camp, I now have two idle weeks just begging for a Disney fix before I go back to school. If Jill wasn't working, we'd be on a plane or in the car headed that way, I can almost bet you!

We'll get to the Crystal Palace meal next, but for now, feel free to browse and do some more shopping.

i know I am a few days late on this, but the New York State animal is the Beaver.. that is where I was brought up...
Now I live in NJ -- the state animal is the Horse...
Whenever I am in Disney, I only allow myself to purchase two things... one kitchen item and one ornament

I think the beaver is pretty cool state animal, but Scott is surely even cooler.

Do you have the red and black kitchen stuff, or do you have the light blue and white? I started to get a few of the blue and white things this last time, but I have so much kitchen stuff that it would have been money wasted. I would have loved it, no doubt, but I couldn't justify buying it.

Maybe if some of my old stuff gets broken, I can buy new Disney stuff.

Yep. I am the proud owner of a sparkling clean refrigerator. No cracked shelf. No stains. Brand spankin' new. My other one was long beyond needing to be replaced, so it was time.

What, you don't think dad wants to model the boxers? If Trent had been with us, nut that he is, he probably would have unfolded them and held them up to model. He's got one of 'those' personalities who can get away with doing stuff like that.

That is my intent when I take the pictures. Not only do I want to re-live being in that place, but I want to share it with all who are waiting. I'm glad to hear you feel that way.

Teachers go back August 6th. We usually do a couple of days prep before that. I'm not sure what day the students start. We'll have several days of in-service before they show up. (I will be taking notes with a Disney pen. I've gotta hang on to every little fun thing I can throughout those meetings.)

Aaaahhh, good, you're just in time. They're calling our party in now!

Erica, stop looking at the castle and come on. It is a pretty view, but we'll look at it later. Food awaits! (And air conditioning. It felt so good in there.)

This is such a pretty place.

We hadn't been sitting but a minute when this wild animal came out of nowhere. He slowly stalked Brooklynn, creeping along the bench seat on his knees.

He was so cute with her.

Then, he tried to go and be cool and grab my shades.

I explained that I really needed to have them, because they're my favorite sunglasses, so he gave them back.

Those sunglasses will become very important later in the trip due to an unexpected event.


I can't say enough about the food here. It was deliciious!

The chocolate cake with peanut butter frosting was "to die for" - really, really good.

The characters stopped visiting with children periodically in order to have the parade.

Eeyore is my guy. I have about ten different plush Eeyores. He's just so sweet and needs so much love.

How cute is he?

The main man....er bear, Winnie-the-Pooh.

Brooklynn decided she should try to kiss Piglet's mouth, and her search for his mouth looked like this.

This is Jill and Brooklynn in the parade. Only Brooklynn didn't know she was in a parade at all.

The whole atmosphere of the place was a great first day dinner for our trip. We highly recommend it.

We gave it four thumbs up.

Brooklynn never really mastered the thumbs up idea.
