A taxi for 6?

We have ADR's at a few resorts and we want to take a taxi for the quickest route. There are 6 people in our party (4 adults/2 children). Are there taxi (vans) that can accomodate that many people? Are they more expensive? Are these type taxis readily available at the resorts (POFQ) or do we need to schedule them?

Taxis are usually readily available at the front of the resort. Whether or not they're vans or sedans is luck of the draw. If you need a van, the Valet stand can always call one for you. You can also call ahead to reserve one. 407-422-2222.

Prices are the same as a sedan.

We were there July 4th week '05(crazy busy). Used the vans many times all we did was request a van out front never had to wait more than 5 minutes and most of the drivers put the stroller in the back without us even having to fold it up. One driver even had a karaoke machine that my kids still can't stop talking about. Have fun.

Wow, that's great! You mean that when you were ready for the taxi you just told valet and the taxi was there within 5 minutes? You don't have to "schedule" them a few hours before hand? (I'm new to all this taxi stuff. ) You think I could get a taxi that quickly...even at 7:00am in the morning? Were you at a deluxe, moderate, or value...or does it even matter?

Our stay was split between AsSport and POR. All resorts had a transportation desk just outside the front door. We used taxi's for early morning games at WWoS and for dinner at several resorts. We also used ME and Disney transportation to all of the parks. The one and only time that we called ahead for a van he left before we even made it out front. Another driver saw him pull away and called us another van that arrived very quickly. Our first time without a car and it worked out very well we really enjoyed not driving for the week. Did the same thing for a quick trip in Nov. and it went equally as well. I am heading down for an off site trip next week and will have to rent a car and drive just printing out all the directions makes me appreciate those last trips even more.
