Awww, praying for you and Joe and Im sure that everything will work out in God's timing. NYC sounds great. We love to visit there. Sorry you have to sell the DVC, but at least you can still go to Disney

Looking forward to hearing updates on the house and TR!
Thank you! You are exactly right - it will work out in God's timing. It's just the waiting for his timing that gets to me!

I know people who have waited much longer than 2 years for things, so this is nothing. Trust and faith!
I hope to have a TR update soon, and...hopefully a great house update too!
Lots of prayers heading your way, Brook! I hope the family loves your house so much that they are willing to buy it at the current asking price. I hope you are able to move to NYC very soon! What a fun place for Henry to grow up.
I am sad that you are selling your DVC contract, but if it will help you realize your bigger dream than it's all for the best! Like you said, you can have a great Disney vacation at a mod or a value. Your words helped me to remember that! Thanks!
Thank you! I would LOVE to get our asking price. Man, that would be amazing. But we'll take much lower even!
My aunt doesn't understand us wanting to raise Henry in the City. But, I really truly look forward to it. Some things WILL be harder, but there are so many rich opportunities for him there. The culture, the history, the education, the people... I know people who have been born and raised there and they think it's a wonderful place to raise children. It truly can be.
I'm so glad my words helped you too! I know it couldn't be easy to give up the Grand...

But, it is true. Magic is all over that property! I think we could have a good time camping out on lawn chairs at the Hippy Dippy pool!

Though, I don't think Disney would like that too much...
Oh Brook!

How exciting and scary at the same time! Wow, you and Joe have quite a full plate right now. I'm so sorry to hear that this crappola recession has hit your area too. Man, does it ever stink! But I think it is ultra-fabulous (I remember you liked that phrase!

) that you're going back to New York!

I love love love New York

, I really do. But DH isn't as keen on it as me so we won't probably ever live there. But we like to visit! When we were first married, we wanted to move to NYC so badly, although we were watching 'Mad About You' a lot so maybe that had something to do with it!

I am so glad to hear that making a move like this will make life easier for Joe as well. And Henry is so cute that he'll fit in anywhere you go! I'm wishing you and your family the best. And I'm praying that God will bless your family and sell your home! Keep the faith Brook. I'm totally crossing my fingers for you too! Ugh, did that sound like valley girl 80's to you? Like it did to me, like totally!

Take your time with your TR too, I don't mind waiting one bit! And good news that Disney will still happen for you too. Like others have said, you can still have a wonderful, magical time even if you don't stay deluxe. Take care and keep us posted!

It has hit our town so hard. I feel awful for so many families. There is a gal I know in town, her and her boyfriend have five children and he was laid off.

Thankfully he was able to get something part-time elsewhere, but still! 7 people on a part-time salary! I haven't a clue how she does it. But she does. She is the coupon QUEEN! It's amazing what deals she finds! And thankfully she shares them with me.
I'm so thankful Joe likes NYC as much as I do. He's very excited about moving there and just as ready as I am - in some ways more! He looks forward to the career opportunities and having independence. He also is excited about doing something he has NEVER done! It will be life changing for him, I'm sure!
I
totally didn't read your Valley Girl sentence as Valley Girl, but laughed out loud when you commented about it!

Thank you for your prayers and encouragement!!!! When you (and anyone else for that matter!) comes to NYC for a visit, we'll have to line up a meet!
I miss Mad About You, that was such a cute show! I forgot they lived in NYC - what part, do you remember? Their apartment was a bit over the top, but not nearly as unrealistic as you find in Friends or other shows!
