Wow - did that park empty out! Sounds like a late night in the MK coming up - something I've always wanted to do, but haven't really had the chance. Although we've stayed still about midnight, I want to go one night when it's open really really late!
Thanks for the advice about the wheelchair/
scooter. We'll have a car, so we could break the scooter down. I'm just not sure about all the pushing of the chair we'd have to do. May have to talk to DH about that and see if it's even an option. Although, if my dad wanted to walk a while, he could just get out of the chair and push it. Maybe it is a better idea.
It really did empty out! We were pleasantly surprised. Late night at MK is a lot of fun, if I remember correctly it was open until 3:00 am and then would re-open at 7:00 am!
That was a big benefit of the push chair with Poppa - he needed to stretch his legs sometimes and would opt to walk. Usually then someone would take a turn getting pushed...even Henry.

So, if anything someone else could ride the scooter while your dad walked - it's kind of a nice break for the walkers!
AK at night - such a rare sight!

This is one of the advantages of crowded season - during low season you have to make it to EEMH otherwise AK closes before sunset...
The PJ is very cute! Is Henry going for a trendy hairstyle or did you just not have time to take him to get a hair cut?

Which reminds me: I really like your current haircut. The short hair looks very elegant!
Also thanks for the Kidani pictures. Once again, they show how much talent you have in taking wonderful pictures!
I love AK at night! There really isn't much to do, but it's such a rare event I love to just be there!

I knew someone would ask about his crazy hair in that picture--it was a mess so it looks even worse than it was. I ALMOST posted "We got him a haircut!" too!

His hair was very long, but he preferred it that way-each time we asked him about a haircut he would say "No, I like it long!" we had it trimmed back in Minnesota and he BAWLED the entire time. So I put it off for a while, and it's been in the 90s here in NYC, so we had to get it cut - he was MORE than willing this time! I kinda like it longish, but the really short cut he has now is just better for the summer.
Thank you for the compliment on my hair! I am loving it short, it's so, so easy - I'm ready in 30 minutes for the day and it's so much cooler for the summer.
Your welcome for the Kidani pictures! It's such a beautiful and unique resort.
Once again I love the pictures of AKL...such a gorgeous place!!
Henry looks so cute in his Buzz Lightyear pjs and he is growing up so fast Brook!!!!! He is becoming a little man!
I know!

It's unreal how fast he's growing up. New words, big sentences, new skills are mastered every single day.
Animal Kingdom looks so cool at night!! Fun!!
I love Henry's pjs. I can't believe how BIG he's getting. Wow. Tell him to slow down.
I do,
every single day. I'll tell him you agree with me, 2 against 1!
I always skipped Nemo for FOTLK before March. I won't now. I'll do both!
They are both so great, aren't they? They are such different shows, it's a toss up as to which one I'd rather see!
You didn't answer my question though. Can I still call him Dut Dut?

I remember reading your question - sorry I missed it. Oh yes, you can call him Dut Dut! I don't mind one bit - it's so cute! He still hasn't lost his word for motorcycle, which is bamo. Someday I know that one will go too.
Timon's my guy! Happy that Henry enjoyed him
Timon came close a few times to wave at Henry, it was really fun!
Great update. I don't know if I already said it but I am enjoying all the pictures of Kidani. We are hoping to stay there next year in a 2 BR Villa. How did the 2 BR Vila work out for you?
EE sounds like fun at night and will have to try it sometime. Looking forward to seeing how the night at MK was and if you ended up with your corn dog nuggets.
We loved the 2 BR Villa! It was incredibly spacious - and while we didn't really use the 3rd bathroom, it did come in handy a couple times. It's very nice that the balcony extends all the way across the mater and the living room too. It's a great resort! I do wish it had a counter service and a slightly larger selection of "quick foods" in the gift shop, but otherwise it's fantastic.
Absolutely gorgeous pics from around the resort!
That's so awesome that you were able to see FOTLK and ride EE in the dark! It's amazing how much the park emptied out.
I really hope you get your corn dog nuggets!
EE in the dark is like nothing else...you can't even see the track! I loved it!
Glad crowds were a tad lighter for you guys!!
Will you get corn dog nuggets this trip!

You have to!!!
Wasn't TS3 the best! I loved it! I also am a fellow basketcase.
Corn dog nuggets...we'll see!

(I could SO go for some right now!)
TS3 was awesome! I truly did not expect to get that wrapped up in the movie, but they really hit it-good for every age. I want to go see it again!
Oh, I love your little photo tour of Kidani especially the rocking chair detail shot!
Glad the crowds were much more manageable at Animal Kingdom when you returned! We have never ridden Everest at night -- I can only imagine how intense that must be!
Henry's new Buzz pajamas are very cute!
I thought you might like that detail!

Those chairs are such a nice touch to the resort, I enjoyed sitting in one soaking up the savannah and the sun.
EE at night is just nuts...you can't hardly see the track, so unless you know the ride by heart, you have no idea where you will turn or drop!

The view at the top is beautiful though with everything dark and the Tree of Life all it up.
He was very excited about the Buzz jammies! He's just hooked on Toy Story lately - even Cars has taken a back seat.
I'm glad your family got to see a couple of good shows at AK, at least! I loved watching your FOTLK videos, it's almost as good as actually being there! Can you believe I've never done EE? I've either been pregnant, or alone with David every time.

I'm hoping to be able to go in September.
Love the Buzz pajamas! We are very into Buzz at our house right now too. I hear a lot of "to infinity and beyond!" as well as "don't touch my Buzz Lightyear buttons"

It's so funny what they get obsessed with!
We loved TS3 too, I think David spent half of it in my lap though. I didn't expect it to be quite as scary as it was. I forgot tissues- boy was that a mistake!
Oh! I hope you can get to ride EE this time! It's a fantastic ride! It never fails to make me scream and surprise me.
"Don't touch my Buzz Lightyear buttons."

That's cute! It is funny what they get obsessed with. Henry was SO into Cars, but now hardly gets excited at the sight of McQueen!
I didn't expect TS3 to have scary parts either - thankfully they were over quick! I'm glad we didn't do the 3D otherwise Henry would have been crying I'm sure.
