A Surprise Disneymoon - Oct 2011

I have gotten nothing else done in the way of wedding planning. I still need flowers and bridesmaids dresses. Well, I guess I did get a little done. I ordered a slip to go underneath my dress and set up an appointment to get my alterations done. I think I'm going to do some bridal pictures sometime in July when my dress and slip get in.

James and I have been together since 2007 and in 2010 he proposed to me. Now it's story time! Yay! So Dustin and I were talking about how I like to go theatre shows and James usually comes along with me. He was saying he and his wife Ashley were considering doing something cultured along those lines and he asked me what I suggested they should see. I told him Wicked was coming to town in a few months and it was an amazing show that they would love. Fast forward to November. We go see Wicked and during intermission James and Dustin go outside to smoke and check out the fountain outside the theatre where James was planning on proposing. Well, it was late November and the fountain was turned off and James had no plan B. He was getting worried.

After the show and curtain call, the cast members came back on stage to talk about a charity they were supporting. You donate money and for certain amounts you get something in return. For seventy-five per person there was a backstage tour led by one of the cast members of the show. Afterwards I made my down the stairs and at the bottom realized no one was behind me. I figured we just got separated by some people and waited patiently. Well now James was seeing how much money he had on him while Ashley was enthusiastically telling him it would be perfect to propose on stage. If he didn't have enough money I have a feeling that she would have shoved the rest on him.

While I was waiting I decided that I just had to take the tour so when they emerged I led the way to the front and plunked my card down for the tour. Now this is the part that everyone fixates on. Yes, I paid for the tour. What was James supposed to say? "No, I want to propose to you and when you tell the story later it'll be more romantic if I paid for it". I wanted it so I paid for it.

Moving on, we took the tour, I impressed our cast member with my knowledge of the show, saw amazing costumes, and the fabulous props and scenes used. At one point another CM came over and started talking about his role as Wizard and how he liked playing him different ways. Our CM took the opportunity to step back and finish changing into his everyday clothes and I noticed that James was missing from my side so I looked around, saw him next to the guy, shrugged, and turned back around so I wouldn't miss anything. I guess I just had amazing timing because James dropped back to ask if we could get back onto center stage and showed him the ring. I must have just missed it.

We were about to be led out when our CM said he had one more thing he had to show James so everyone shuffled out except us. We got back onto the stage and our CM excused himself to say good bye to the group. I absorbed the moment on stage then James said something about how he loved me and always would...and then I started absolutely bawling. I guess he had a little speech but I was crying so hard I heard none of it and he did drop to one knee but I don't know when. All the details of the exact moment are fuzzy because of all the tears. I don't even know if he actually asked me to marry him. It was a big blur. I still cry everytime I tell anyone but I'm just a big hormonal mess. You don't want to see me during sad movies . It's pretty pathetic.

This was not the night he proposed but don't I look cute all pregnant?

Well, there are a little more than 100 days until the wedding and what more do I have done? Nothing...well, I did pick out some wedding jewelry. I still have no flowers or bridesmaids dresses. I think I might just take the easy way out on the dresses though. I want navy, knee length dresses. One of my bridesmaids is driving me crazy about the whole thing. I have an out of state bridesmaid and a pregnant bridesmaid so I'm thinking I'll let them do their own thing and buy whatever. Makes life easier for me.

I have a flower appointment this week. I decided on a flower shop. It's small and family owned (in other words, cheap). Now I just need to tell them what I want, put down a deposit, etc. I visited them before and got a price but can't remember what they were supposed to look like but now I have a better idea of what I want them to look like so I'm going to see how much it costs.

Moving on to why I haven't been around for a while. The girl who has the shift I wanted at work quit. She worked 6 to 2 Monday thru Friday and I've been pushing for the opening shift for a while. She quit and the manager offered it to me so I said yes without a second thought. She left us midweek so we had to cover her shifts for the rest of the week and to make it easier I volunteered to do hers. That week I worked like crazy; I spent every day at work and midway through Friday I was in overtime. So now I either work 5 days a week and get 40 hours or I work 6 days a week and get a few hours of overtime. Yay! Anyway, I think I finally got used to the early hours and caught up on some sleep I've been missing because today is the first day that I opened and haven't been drowsy and useless after I got off work.

Now that I'm all caught up, I'm hoping to keep up more often with pictures of my Disney purchases and our wedding updates. Here's to hoping.:goodvibes

I finally have bouquets! I went to the flower shop with my pictures and got a price quote then booked them that same day. I had been to this flower shop previously but didn't like the flowers I asked them to quote for me. I think about a month went by before I finally went back. This time I knew what I wanted so it made things so much easier. As a matter of fact, the price she gave me for these were cheaper than the bouquets I originally had priced.

My bridal bouquet is made up of lavender and ivory roses and bluish/purplish hydrangeas. The bridesmaids bouquets have the same lavender roses and hydrangea but ivory colored carnations instead of roses. Now that I think of it though, I wanted some pink flowers as well. Rats, this means I'll need to go back and ask her to throw a little pink in each bouquet which will raise the price. I thought I had this all figured out.

Oh well, at least I still have the whole flower process started. My bouquet was actually the one I had priced at the very first flower shop I went to where she was surprised that I didn't want a bunch of fancy extras like corsages. Anyway, at the first shop she priced me for an exact replica of the bouquet which I didn't want. I finally figured out what was wrong with the flowers though. They were to poofy and frou frou. So with the flower shop that I booked I showed her the picture and said I like this but it's just too much. What can you do to fix it? Immediately she pointed out some little flowers and said take those out and it'll be much better. We subtracted those and some little berry looking things and all of a sudden I had found my flowers! I liked the atmosphere as well. It's a little family owned flower shop on the way to the venue.

In other news I picked up my slip for my dress and now just need to wait till the end of July to get my dress back from alterations.

So I did it...I booked a haunted carriage ride for James and I. I was worried because the TA told me that I couldn't book any carriage rides until ninety days before my trip but on the boards someone was talking about how she had booked one. I finally got through on the phone and booked my ride today. For a while I was worried because I wanted to do it on the eighth but she couldn't find anything so I was worried that all days were going to be completely booked. I asked for a few other dates and she found some open slots so I finally decided on the fourth which was my Food & Wine Festival day. I figure get there at eleven. Explore and eat until we're sick. Go back to the hotel for a break and from there head back to Epcot for some more eating and afterwards leave for Fort Wilderness to have our carriage ride. Depending on how we feel, we might leave for Fort Wilderness really early to explore their walking trails as James and I just recently started jogging together. Afterwards, we can relax as we experience the magic that is Disney in the form of a fun horsey ride!

All activities are now booked and all reservations made. In about two weeks I'll surprise James for his birthday and then we'll review our reservations. If he really wants to try a certain restaurant then I'll try booking it and then cancel one of my picks. It's also up to him if he wants to attend MNSSHP. I want him to feel he has something to do with the planning of our trip. I really want to do the party but if he doesn't want to then I'm definitely going to plan a trip where I can do it some other time. I was thinking about it and I think I'm going to keep the segway tour up my sleeve as a last minute surprise for him. So excited! :cloud9::cloud9:

So James birthday is in three days and I have decided how I'm going to surprise him with our honeymoon. I'm going to set up a scavenger hunt for him. I found some blank postcards I have that I completely forgot about so I went online and found some postcard pics of Japan, France, Canada, Ireland, Mexico, and Australia. I'm going to print one pic on each postcard and say something like wish you were here along with a clue to the next postcard and either the letter E, P, C, O, or T. On the last postcard (the one without a letter) it'll say something to the effect of unscramble the letters to find out where we're going on our honeymoon for the Food & Wine Festival. :worried: Ew, I really need to work on the wording; it sounds really rough the way I have it.

In other news...check out our awesome possum cake toppers:

Fruits Basket cake toppers

Shigure Sohma & Tohru Honda

The story behind these later.

So will our guests think our cake toppers are cute? Yes. How many of our 50 guests will actually know the story behind the cake toppers? Not including James and I...4 people, 6 at the most. There is a back story to go with these characters and very few people will actually get how appropriate these toppers are. You all are lucky enough to hear the story behind them!

Let me start by saying Fruits Basket is an awesome anime series that ran in 2001 with 26 episodes. The only brush with anime I had before James was Sailor Moon, a few episodes of Inuyasha, and Shin-Chan. He told me about this show and said that I would love it. Oh, and James is 8 years older than me (more on that later, I promise that is a relevant fact).

The series tells the story of Tohru Honda
5895345312_6f2f6cc154.jpg
an orphan girl who lives in a tent and supports herself. Eventually she finds a home with her classmate Yuki and his cousins Shigure and Kyo. She learns that thirteen members of the Sohma family are possessed by the animals of the Chinese zodiac and turn into their zodiac animal when touched by the opposite gender not of the Sohma family, are weak, or when under stress. When Tohru discovers the Sohmas' secret, she promises not to tell and is allowed to keep living with them. The Sohma's curse, however, is deeper and darker than Tohru realized, but her presence soon becomes a large, positive influence on those possessed by the zodiac. She sets out to break the curse, and on the way, meets and discovers each of the Sohma's vengeful zodiac spirits. Each has a different personality, just like the animals in the Chinese Zodiac. Tohru's existence changes the Sohma clan's lives forever...

That's the story behind the show and Tohru...on to her cake topper counterpart Shigure.
5895343932_397c9a3a57.jpg
Shigure is laid-back, a nonviolent peacemaker in his own words. He is a flirt, a tease, and often jokes that he likes high school girls. He writes romance novels (I like to think of them as Harlequin novels...one of Tohru's friends calls his stories smut). He transforms into the dog.

Now once again only six people will understand our cake toppers. Shigure and Tohru are nothing of a couple; they are like brother and sister but Tohru is young and bubbly while Shigure is the dirty old man who likes younger girls and turns into the zodiac dog:teeth:. Hilarious, I think so :rotfl:. To all others though they are just two cute cake toppers and a random pet dog (which we do not have):lmao:

Well, James birthday is now past. He knows we are going to Disney World and is excited. He wants to do all the classics: Haunted Mountain, Splash Mountain, and Pirates of the Caribbean. Those were the three he listed.

Moving on, let's talk about what I think about love .

Favorite love story: Romeo & Juliet

Favorite Disney-oriented love moment: the relationship between Carl and Ellie in the beginning of Up

Favorite Disney couple:Either Robin Hood and Maid Marion or Bernard and Bianca

Real life couple I most admire: Phoebe Cates and Kevin Kline

Fictional couple I love: Jean Pargetter (Judi Dench) and Lionel Hardcastle (Geoffrey Palmer) from As Time Goes By, a British sitcom

What is love? Going to a restaurant, ordering a burger for each person and sharing an order of onion rings

What do you inspire to be? I want to be that couple that others absolutely hate because we're so sickeningly perfect together yet they secretly want to be just like us!

/
Aww I love your cake topper and the story behind it!! And Carl & Ellie are Perfect! Can't wait to hear more about the planning!

All our activities are officially booked for the honeymoon! The last thing I had to do was buy our MNSSHP tickets which I did last night. We are going to party on October 6. Originally we had a reservation at Jiko on that same day at 6:15 but we decided to reschedule that dinner for the 5 at 8:00pm so we wouldn't miss anything.

I'm freaking out a little because now that almost everything is done I have to pay for it all. I wrote down what I owe to whom and I have a plan to do it. It's not that much actually.

Here's who I owe to:
our venue (I owe the most money to them)
dance lessons
bakery
flower shop
bridesmaids dresses

That's it. Our photographer is the best man's mother-in-law. She's not a traditional photog but she does artsy photo stuff for a living and actually has shot weddings before. She insists that we don't have to pay her but we're still setting some money aside in case she actually accepts when we offer again after the wedding. She's also doing my bridal shoot too!

I apologize if I sound a little disjointed but I'm tired and waiting for James to come home from finishing up payroll.

Oh my goodness, I picked up my dress yesterday. Still pretty. I don't really like the bustle but it's something I could deal with. One more problem is it's just a smidgen too long. I can still walk in it (thank you Tyra and ANTM for teaching me how) but I'm just worried about taking any backwards steps. Dance lessons start tomorrow night so I'll see what we're doing and talk to our instructor. I can figure this out.

Come check out some of the awesome stuff that I bought for my honeymoon!

Taking this with me to the parks. The strap is adjustable and it fits my sunscreen, camera, batteries, and more accessories (see below)

A little wristlet for when I don't feel like lugging my purse around and a little container just in case we find any :tink:pixie dust!

I think this is my favorite shirt out of the three:ccat:

I'll put more wedding updates soon. Dance lessons start tomorrow, I need to buy some wedding bands, and we need to start on centerpieces. Oh, and more exciting news...invitations went out a few days ago! Pics of those to soon come and I promise, the invites are so cute.

That reminds me, I need to order thank you cards as well. Put that on my to-do list with 8 million other things:eek:. Too much to do and I'll never get it done:guilty:. Wait, I'm awesome. I can do this. Go me! :cheer2:

So, my bustle is too long. When I picked up the dress at the shop I voiced my concerns about the length of the train after the bustle and was told it was standard length by two people. Well, I went to dance lessons and halfway through she asked me about my dress. I told her it still dragged on the floor a little in the back but they told me that it was standard length. She wanted to know what the hell was wrong with them and informed me that is was supposed to be off the ground. She told me to take it back and have them fix it for free.

So Friday afternoon I stopped by the bridal shop to question them about it. First, I asked the alterations lady how much it would be to redo the bustle and she told me $59.36; then came the clincher...I'm busy right now, call me later and we'll set something up. What? I drove over there and waited for about forty-five minutes before she talked to me and that is all I get? I was told that the bustle was standard length when I voiced my concerns. Now I'm expected to pay another $60 dollars to fix it. I looked the bustle and if she won't fix it for free and get it back to me in a timely manner, I'll do it myself. The buttons at the base of the back are already in place. I just need to redo the loops on the back of the dress. I have a little bit of sewing knowledge and my maid of honor also has some sewing know-how. I don't like the way the current bustle looks anyway so I might try my hand at a French bustle. There are how-to's all over the internet. Between the two of us we could totally do it.

All right, next on my to-do list is make a list of everything I need to do before the wedding so I don't stress out more than I already am.

So on Monday, I took all the change I had been saving in order to pay for the honeymoon to the bank to cash it in and see how much I would have left to pay off. First thing, I keep my change in a 10lb. maraschino cherry jar that I snatch from work when they are empty. I had four and a half jars full and guess what...I made a good chunk of money from saving it all. After depositing it, I went straight home and emailed the travel agent to pay more on my trip leaving me with a balance of $742 left to pay off. I logged on to my email tonight and find out that I qualify for free dining meaning I have *drum roll* six dollars and sixteen cents left to completely pay my trip off :worship: I shot her an email thanking her and asking her to pay the remainder of my balance off.

I am so psyched. I did have a little extra money stashed up from my last change cashing in that I never deposited so with that I can pay off the baker and buy a photopass cd :banana::banana:

Oh, and also in the good news category, the company I booked our flights with called me saying that I needed to call them because they made a few changes to my schedule that were not reflected on the website. You will never guess what I did...I called them! Apparently the flight we booked leaving home was no longer in service; they canceled that flight and were trying to book me on a different flight leaving at 3pm meaning we'd get into Disney World around 7 or 8pm. No, not cool. I have a dinner reservation at 5:50 that night and a plan to crash right after dinner so we could have plenty of rest before our first day in the parks. Well, he told me that we were not booked on that flight but there was a flight leaving at 6:00am, did we want to try to get on that flight. Yes, yes we do. According to his computer it was booked but he would call the airline instead of relying on his computer because their computers would more accurately show open seats than his multi-airline company would. He called and managed to book us on that earlier flight which leaves 30 minutes earlier than our original flight and lands about 30 minutes to an hour earlier than originally scheduled. Everything is on track for me today. :cheer2: Yippee!

I've started my wedding vows tonight...it's coming together...kind of. I have ideas but I just need to fit them together coherently. Oh boy. Here's a teaser of movies that have inspired this awesome upcoming wedding.

Alice in Wonderland (the classic Disney cartoon)
Alice in Wonderland (the newer one with amazing costumes by Colleen Atwood)
Labyrinth
The Rocky Horror Picture Show
Young Frankenstein

Yep, that's what I am drawing my inspiration from. Haha, I think I mentioned before the geek chic in our wedding. I really wish I had more time to update this but for the past month James and I have majorly cleaned house and now that it is totally clean we are trying to keep it like that which involves a little bit of time each day. Not to mention it feels like we hardly see each other nowadays...stupid work. I think everyone at Sonic is conspiring to separate us :rotfl2:. Conspiracy theories always make me happy!

Well, I'm still having problems with the alterations lady. Today I was supposed to pick up my dress. Well apparently the alterations lady left me a message last week telling me to call her and tell her when I was going to be in for my dress :confused3. She didn't know I was coming because I never called her back so she didn't bring my dress...it's done but she doesn't have it. I told her that I never got the message and last time I talked to her, she told me she would have it for me on this day so I showed up expecting to get my dress. Then she started trying to argue that she told me Friday the 19th and not Monday the 15th. I know for a fact she said today because I wrote it down when I got home and then looked at the calendar and thought...Wow, less than two weeks to get it back. I feel like I'm being a problem customer but on the other hand I spent lots of money on the dress so I expect you to wait on me hand and foot to make me happy. So Friday I'm getting my dress back (hopefully). ARGH.

Anyways, more pictures!

Cheshire kitty will have a place somewhere at the wedding. I don't know where yet but he'll watch over the cake or ceremony or something.

My rain plan

The mouse ears that I battled for on ebay!

Haha, I asked the florist for a quote for four bridesmaids bouquets and then changed my mind about the number. I sent her an email asking her to drop one bouquet and add a few pink flowers to the remaining three. Now, I don't think I want the lavender roses in the BM bouquets anymore. The BM dresses were supposed to be navy and they migrated more toward royal blue and I think the color of the roses will clash with the dresses. I hate being to sound so indecisive () but I'm gonna shoot her another email asking her to change it once again. The only thing that gives me comfort is the fact that I can't be the only bride who changes her mind over and over again, right?

Everything is starting to come together! Wedding bands were bought off ebay and are shipped. We didn't really feel the need for uber-expensive matching bands; we each choose something we liked and ordered them. Two bridesmaids dresses are taken care of and the third one was ordered online yesterday. This third one was the one I was most worried about as the BM is going to be eight months pregnant at the ceremony. They're not all the same color but at least the dresses are the same length; I count that as a win. The baker finally cashed my check so the cakes are now officially paid off. My dress is all bustled and now waiting in my closet for its shining debut. The thank you cards are bought and in the process of being made and finally the photopass cd is pre-ordered for our trip!

I still have a ton of stuff to do like buy centerpiece supplies and commence to making them. I need to buy seating music for the ceremony, finish writing vows, make sure James gets started on his vows, find someone to do my hair, and follow up on the RSVP's.

As for the honeymoon: buy James some sneakers, find him a Chip & Dale shirt to wear, buy some bangles to go with my costume, print up some fun maps on the Disney site, and try packing. I'm bringing sneakers with me to the theme parks so I need to make sure my outfits coordinate with my beloved Roos. Then of course I need to make sure it all fits together in my suitcase. I also plan on dressing up for Cali Grill so I need to find some matching shoes and make sure James has something nice to wear.

Apparently everyone at work is super excited for me to go on my honeymoon. Yesterday the assistant manager told me she was super glad for me because I've been working my butt off at work and really need a break. Exactly how I feel but it's awesome hearing it from someone else. They'll totally miss me at work when I go :). By the way, I'm almost down to thirty days.:woohoo:

One the agenda for today...Mr. Ian has a birthday party to attend. Pizza, ice cream, and cake! Yippee! party: Party time!

Well, my wedding is paid off but for one vendor. The honeymoon/honeymoon activities are totally paid off so why do I still have to work. I've been killing myself these past few days in order to pay off everything. Now that everything is almost done I see no need to work. All right, maybe I still do need to work because I still need to buy roses for the centerpieces and some reindeer moss as well.

Not to mention that two nights ago I did some online shopping. My purchases? I bought Sleeping Beauty on blu-ray for a friend because neither she nor I picked it up for ourselves before they put it back in the vault. I had to browse on Amazon and of course it was expensive but this girl is so hard to shop for. She won't tell you what she wants because it won't be a surprise for her if she gives you a hint as to what she wants. Me on the other hand...I want certain things so I'll drop hints all over the place.

Next up was a Rescue Rangers t-shirt for James to wear to Disney. He's a big fan of Chip and Dale so I had to get him a shirt. I think I'm going to surprise him with it when we get to the world. He'll never notice me packing it in my bag.

Finally I bought two id clippy thing-a-ma-bobbers to hold our KTTW card. I wanted something cute so I went online and found some on etsy. It has Stitch in the center and is surround by rhinestones. Then browsing her store I found a Jack Skellington one surrounded by black and clear crystals. I figure I can throw that in with James' goody bags. I just had to have both of them. I can't wait for them to arrive!

Did I mention that I received the wedding bands in the mail the other day. They both fit which is good because I didn't for sure remember my size; I just knew really small. Well I guessed correctly. I wear a size 4 ring.

Dance lessons are going decently. Unfortunately James and I never have time to practice because we are both so busy. Every week, the first thirty minutes of class is spent playing catch up on what we forgot before learning the first half of a new set.

Oh, and now I'm trying to put together gift bags for the kids at the reception. Including mine, there will be seven there so I wanna try to keep them busyish. I need to head out to Party City to browse through their party favors. I don't know if we are doing favors for the grown ups. I might throw together some cookies for them. I'm pretty decent at baking. Maybe some white chocolate cranberry cookies. Yummy. I really need to sit down and think things through. I have a to-do list but I haven't considered things like our exit strategy, favors, or guest book. It's getting to be crunch time. Eep.

Another side note before I ponder things...yesterday during work I was so done with it that I pulled the calendar off the wall and counted out how many days of work I had left. 24 more days of work before I am off for two glorious weeks. This is assuming that I get my usual two days a week off which is silly because when we're shorthanded I'm always the first to volunteer to come in. Damn it, I will make myself indispensable at work. People will miss me when I go on vacation :rotfl2:

I might be getting in over my head but I'm getting an idea. I always liked the idea of rose petals being thrown as we exit so I was looking at a website that sells freeze dried flowers for throwing when I saw pics of a bride laying on flower petals. It looked really cute and now I want that. Then there is the fact that I like the idea of making a heart on the bed in flower petals on our Disneymoon. Then the whole thing just spiraled out of control. I'm seriously considering these three ideas. It's my magical once in a lifetime wedding. Some people say that money shouldn't be spent on a big party but others say go all out because it's (supposedly) your one chance. I'm totally feeling the go all out vibe. At least at the moment, I've been trying to be thrifty but now I'm getting all these ideas in my head. I suppose I shouldn't :confused3.

I bought supplies for the kids gift bags. We went to Party Galaxy and wandered around for a while and I picked up some great stuff. Bottles of bubbles, a mini tambourine, a four pack of crayons, a Tinkerbell halo/tiara for the girls and Mickey Mouse ears for the boys. I got lucky on the tiaras/ears; they came four to a pack and there's four of each gender. How awesome is that? Now I just need a mini coloring/activity book and bags to put it all together. I'm gonna put them in simple dark blue bags and spell their name on the bag in stickers. I'll have to figure out where to put them at the reception and make a sign to let them know to pick them up.

I also came up with an idea for a guest "book". I didn't want a full book because it's just a waste of money but my lovely hubby can (or used to be able) to draw. He's out of practice as he hasn't done it in a while but he's still good. When we first started dating he picked up a scrap of paper off the floor and drew a mouse on it using the cover of a board game for reference. Anyway, he's going to try his hand at an Alice-esque caterpillar then we're going to frame it and have people sign a matte around it. If him drawing doesn't work out then one of the cooks at work is a fantastic artist.

So this cook, he always draws sketches of the employees and tapes them up on the ice machine. Our manager keeps them up there for a while then takes them down. Last month, he compiled a binder full of all these drawings. Anyway, he sketches these awesome bad a** drawings with tons of little details. If he draws something for us it's definitely gonna be on the darker American McGee Alice side. I don't mind though. His drawings are well worth it and Alice is very dark anyway. The movie always scared me; it still shakes me.

Oops, it's bedtime. I have to be up at five tomorrow for work to make money for all my cockamamie ideas. Good night.

Just way too much to do, blah :sad2:. So this September I have two baby showers to attend as well as my bachelorette party, a possible baby/bridal shower/bbq for me (the bride) and our two aforementioned pregnant girls, and Dustin wants to go see The Lion King in theaters. Not to mention I still haven't set up a bridal shoot yet. Oh, and I keep setting up hair appointments then canceling them because I don't have time and more importantly, money. I'd be okay if only my stupid paycheck would come in on time but no our stupid payroll company likes teasing us. Rent is due on the third and we don't get paid until the sixth.

Oh my goodness, way too much to do and not nearly enough time. I was really hoping to be done with everything by now. What in the world was I thinking? It was nice being so naive as to think that.

Moving on, I'm getting depressed thinking of everything I still have to do. James can still draw! He drew an amazing caterpillar. It was supposed to be our guest book type thing but it came out a little bigger than he anticipated. So I asked if he would mind drawing a few more pictures for me. I'm planning on framing them and setting them up somewhere for everyone to see. I'll have to get a picture of his drawing. I went online and looked up some more images for him and found some great pics of the critters in Tulgey Wood.

Ew, another thing to go on my to-do list. Upload my camera pics to my computer then flickr so I can post him here. Pbbt. Can I have a hug?

I got home today and my Magical :wizard: Express stuff was in the mail! That reminded me that I needed to update my flight information with the travel agent though. Hopefully, the airlines are done screwing around with my arrival flight. Then this morning I realized that the wedding is a month away today. I also decided that I am done stressing with the wedding planning. I emailed our photographer and she's thinking about doing the photo shoot Labor Day weekend which is fine for me though I should probably ask my MOH if that works for her because she's going to be lacing me into my dress. Oops, :rolleyes1 I forgot (I really did).

I have nothing else new today so I'll share my song for first dance with y'all. So I always thought that I'd use Come What May from Moulin Rouge as my first dance, but one day I was in the mood for David Bowie so I grabbed the Labyrinth soundtrack and threw it into my cd player while I ran errands. I eventually came to As The World Falls Down and thought...hey, this sounds really pretty, let's listen to this again. Then I listened to it again and then one more time. Well when I got home, I looked up the lyrics to the song and it was a love song ! The song is just so pretty and I absolutely love the way it sounds. One of my favorite things at dance lessons is when James and I actually dance to the music without screwing up too horribly (which is not very often:rotfl2:). We're not very skilled dancers and the fact that we have barely anytime to practice doesn't help. Oops.

The scene in the movie is pretty amazing too. Jareth (David Bowie) is at a masquerade and Sarah (Jennifer Connelly) is there wandering through the crowd and he's following her. Finally she spots him and they start dancing so gracefully together :love::love: before she realizes it's all a trick and takes off running. Then she reaches a big mirror on the wall and smashes it with a chair and glass shards fly everywhere. Jennifer Connelly is so pretty in that movie. I want my hair done like hers for the wedding!
