My parents are taking my sister and I (and the grandkids) to WDW this December. We're staying offsite at Windsor Hills. As we were planning trip days, we realized that my parent's wedding anniversary falls in the middle of our trip.
So we've booked them a surprise one-night stay at AKL (concierge). They'll have AK EMH the night of their arrival, and the sunrise safari the next day. Dad knows that they're staying one night at AKL, but he thinks that it's his surprise for Mom and he doesn't have any idea what it involves other than being able to see animals around the resort.
None of us have ever stayed concierge before, so we're sort of at a loss for how to take good advantage of the time they'll have or what services/amenities are available to them besides the lounge.
Can we get a list of special programs in advance?
Anything in particular that they really shouldn't miss?
Are they likely to be moved to another resort due to construction/miserable because of construction noise?
Most importantly - any ideas for how to spring the surprise on Mom? We can get her to the resort as "touring the christmas decorations", but I don't know how to go from there to a key in her hand or her being in the concierge lounge/her room.
