Since the search function has been disabled, it has become increasingly difficult to read trip reports in their entirety. And I love to read trip reports!! :D

A suggestion to those who post reports - would you be able to put a link to previous and/or future parts of your trip reports within your post? For example, in part or day 2, put link to part/day 1 at the beginning or end of the report and vice versa. This way, everyone will be able to easily read your entire report, and all of the hard work that you put into writing them will not go unnoticed!

Or, what I've seen on other boards, people post successive parts of TR's in the same original post. So part 1 would be the original post. Then they reply to their own original post with part 2 and so on.

Like I said, just a suggestion to help people enjoy other people's reports! :)

That's a great idea luvpooh. Now how do I create a link?

link to trip report 1
day 1

Also another great tool is to put the dates of your trip on your subject line. This helps for people that would like to go during the same time on the following year.

yepod - after you have posted the first part or day of the report, and you would like to put a link to it in subsequent ones, all you do is right click on the address of the first report (at the top of the screen) and click copy. Go to where you want to put the link in the following reports in your new thread (for example, if you were to write, "to see the 1st day of my report click here") After click here in the last sentence, you would go to the section above the Your Reply box, where it says vB Code. Click on the http:// button, a box will open asking you what you would like to call the link. For example, you could call it "Day 1". Hit enter, then another box will open and ask you for the full URL of the link. This is where you would right click and hit paste, and the address that you copied from day one would show up. Then hit enter, and you should have a link!

I hope this makes sense. If you don't understand my ramblings or have any other questions, feel free to ask or PM me! :)

Your instructions were GREAT.
It just took me a couple of days to concentrate and get it to work!
(The brain as well as the links!)

To josierac,
I agree totally.
I have a harder time using the information from reports when they are'nt dated!

One other suggestion is reply to reports.
It is VERY appreciated when someone takes the time to comment after reading about a nice trip!
