A subpoena was delivered today

It is for DD and the felony charges against "him". We were praying that it wouldn't go to trial; that he would accept a plea bargain. Our hopes are sinking fast.

DD doesn't know it yet. I need to talk with the attorneys tomorrow and see what is really going on. I really don't know how she can handle a trial or a deposition. I just don't know.

We will support her in every way that we can, especially guiding her to be strong for her precious, baby girl. A conviction could shut the door on paternal rights. An inappropriate testimony by her could put her in a difficult position and enhance his.

She has been doing so well. This will shatter her. This will shake us all.

We're all tired of it. We want to move on and leave the pain behind. My hands are shaking as I type this. I don't want to see her suffer thru this. I pray for a plea bargain.

There is still a HUGE chance for a plea bargain.. it seems like 90% of plea bargains happen when it is scheduled for trial..so don't lose hope!

I hope that this is resolved quickly. I can't tell you how many times dh has been called to testify in a case that never went to trial--the person plead at the last minute. I hope that happens for you.(((HUGS))) and prayers.
